About 10 months ago, I did a message titled “Messages contained in Hebrew names” and it was based off the names of the sons of David. This time, we will be looking at the names of the descendants of Shem after the flood in Genesis 11:10, which gives us another beautiful meaning. Let’s view the names and their meanings, see the message contained within them and then examine the scriptures to support it.
Shem=Name

Shelah= petition or request
Eber=to cross over

Nahor= Hot, dry
Terah= Breathe, blow, scent
Abram= Exalted Father
Haran= Mountaineer (one living in a mountainous region)
YESHUA is His NAME, HEALER of our sins, granting our PETITION in prayer and leading us to CROSS OVER from the lies to the truth, He brought DIVISION on earth but those who follow Him He calls His FRIENDS. He is the BRANCH from the root of Jesse, protecting us from the HEAT by day as our soul thirsts for Him as a DRY land, He BREATHED on us the RUACH HA’KODESH (Holy Spirit). He returned to YAHWEH our EXALTED FATHER and will return to reign in a MOUNTAINEER/MOUNTAINOUS region which is Mount Zion.

Abraham was a Hebrew which means “one belonging to the family of Eber” or to “crossover” the literally meaning of Eber’s name, as we see Abraham crossed over the Euphrates River to enter into Canaan.
