Teach your children the Torah!

As most of us already know by now is that children are sponges and they quickly absorb information, and they will imitate what they see their parents doing. I remember when I was a child I used to look and see my dad putting his hands in his pockets and I thought it was so cool, so I started doing it. The point is that children are watching, and they are learning the things they see and hear, so if you are cussing around your children then they will start cussing, if you are loving and patient then they will learn to love and be patience etc. Children are innocent and impressionable which is why it is important for parents to teach their children about YAHWEH, His Son YESHUA and the Torah while they are young. And YAHWEH commands this:

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

“Hear, O Yisra’el: YAHWEH our ELOHIM is YAHWEH ONE (ECHAD); and you shall love YAHWEH your ELOHIM with all of your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart; AND YOU ARE TO TEACH THEM DILIGENTLY (Steady, earnest, and energetic effort) TO YOUR CHILDREN, and you shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes and you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and upon your gates.”

Genesis 18:19

“For I know him (Abraham) well, and that he will COMMAND HIS CHILDREN and his household after him, to keep the ways of YAHWEH, to do justice and righteousness; for YAHWEH shall fulfill for Abraham the thing that he has spoken concerning him.”

As we see, YAHWEH wants the parents to teach the children steadily, earnestly meaning being serious-minded about it, with energetic effort, to make sure they understand the importance of YAHWEH’s commands! Abraham commanded his household to walk in the Torah of YAHWEH because he knew the severity of not doing so. Also, included in the Shema is that we are to speak of His words when we get up, while going about our day and when we lie down. In other words YAHWEH comes first in our lives and this includes to constantly instruct the children about His ways. So, when your children see and hear the word of YAHWEH coming from you daily, they will absorb it like a sponge and begin to imitate you, which means that they will have a good foundation while they are young. The Book of Sirach gives some more insight about speaking of YAHWEH continually which can only benefit the children as they see this demonstrated by you.

Sirach 9:15

“Let your talk be with the wise and ALL your communication in the Torah of the ELYON (EL MOST HIGH).”

This matches the Shema from Deuteronomy 6:4-9, because if all of your words on the Torah of YAHWEH by speaking of them when arise, when you walk by the way, and way you lie down, then it doesn’t give any room for any idle talk or idle actions and makes for the perfect learning tool for the children.

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a CHILD in the WAY he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

What is the WAY?

Psalms 119:1

“Blessed are the undefiled in THE WAY, who walk in the Torah of YAHWEH.”

My parents taught us about the Shabbat growing up, but when we got older, we strayed and did our own thing, but we eventually came back to the foundation we were taught, so this is true. You cannot control what your children do when they move out of your house, but you can teach them while they are in your house and even if they stray, they will more than likely come back to what you taught them which is to know YAHWEH!

Pass the truth on to each generation

The word for son in Hebrew is “beyn” pronounced (bain) and in the Otiot it is spelled (Beyt, Nun) and is defined as male offspring. This can be the son of the dad or a later male descendant. One who continues the family line.

Jeff Benner adds:

“In the original pictographic script, the first letter a picture of a tent our house (Beyt). The second letter is the picture of a seed. The seed is a NEW GENERATION of life that will grow and produce a NEW GENERATION therefore, this letter can mean to “to continue”. When combined these two letters form the word meaning “to continue the house” and is the Hebrew word for a “son.”

This is important for all the reasons mentioned above. So, we see that Abraham commanded his household to walk in the Torah of YAHWEH and we know that the male’s carry on the future generation by their seed by bringing forth children. So, the point is that when you teach them the ways of YAHWEH they will pass the truth to their children, and their children on to their children so that the NEW GENERATION will not just continue physically, but they also will continue the house of your dad spiritually with the truth of YAHWEH’s word!

2 Baruch 84:7-9

“Let then this letter be a testimony between me and you, so that you will remember the commandments of the Mighty One, and so that in this way I will also have an excuse before him who has sent me. Remember Zion and the Torah, also the Holy Land, and your brothers, and the covenant, and your ancestors, and the festivals, and the Shabbats do not forget. And pass this letter and the traditions of the Torah ON TO YOUR SONS AFTER YOU, AS YOUR DADS HAVE ALSO PASSED THEM ON TO YOU.”

Psalms 78:5-7

“For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a Torah in Yisra’el, which He commanded our ancestors that they should make KNOWN TO THEIR CHILDREN, that the GENERATION TO COME might know them, even the children which SHOULD BE BORN, who should arise and declare them to THEIR CHILDREN; that they might set their hope in ELOHIM, and not FORGET HIS COMMANDMENTS; and might not be as their ancestors, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with ELOHIM.”

Testament of Benjamin 10:3-4

“And after he had said these things, he said to them, “Therefore my children, know that I am dying. So do truth and righteousness each one to his neighbor, and judgement to confirmation, and GUARD THE TORAH OF YAHWEH and His COMMANDS. For I leave you these things instead of inheritance. Therefore, also give THEM TO YOUR CHILDREN FOR AN EVERLASTING POSESSION; FOR ABRAHAM, AND ISAAC, AND JACOB DID LIKEWISE. For all these things they gave us for an inheritance, saying, ‘Guard the commands of ELOHIM, until YAHWEH reveals His salvation to all nations.”

However, this is not just limited to the son’s because if you teach your daughters then they will know what to look for in a husband to be sure that he is of YAHWEH, or if it’s done the traditional way where the dad will give her to a man who is a believer! And if she happens to marry someone who isn’t being obedient to YAHWEH as he should then she will be prepared to walk by her example of displaying love and obedience as Peter writes.

1 Peter 3:1-2

“In the same way, wives, submit to your husbands; so that even if some of them do not believe the Word, they will be won over by your conduct, without your saying anything, as they see you respectful and pure behavior.”

The respectful and pure behavior is what she would have been taught by her parents according to the Torah to submit to her husband and walk righteously.

Jubilees 7:20

“And in the twenty-eighth jubilee, Noah began to COMMAND his sons’ sons the statues and commands, and all the judgements that he knew. And he exhorted his sons to guard righteousness...

What is righteousness?

Deuteronomy 6:25

“And it shall be our RIGHTEOUSNESS, if we observe and do all these commandments before YAHWEH our ELOHIM, as He has commanded us.”

The Torah trains us up in instruction of righteousness, as the Torah literally means “guidelines and instructions.” We can now take these scriptural definitions of the way, the truth, and righteousness and plug them into the scriptures below to see that our ancestors were referencing the Torah.

Jubilees 7:20 continued of Noah commanding his sons and sons’ sons:

“And to cover the shame of their flesh, and to bless their Creator, and honor dad and mother (Exodus 20:12 “Honor your dad and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which YAHWEH your ELOHIM gives you.”), love their neighbor(Leviticus 19:18 “You shall not bear any enmity against the children of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am YAHWEH”, and guard their beings from whoring (Zanah) and uncleanness and all iniquity (Psalms 6:8 “Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity..).”

Jubilees 7:34

“And now, my CHILDREN, listen: work judgment and righteousness that you may be planted in righteousness over the face of the whole earth, and your honor lifted up before my ELOHIM, who saved me from the waters of the flood.”

Genesis 18:19

“For I know him (Abraham) well, and that he will COMMAND HIS CHILDREN and his household after him, to keep the ways of YAHWEH, to do justice and righteousness; for YAHWEH shall fulfill for Abraham the thing that he has spoken concerning him.”

Which we see perfectly in Jubilees of Abraham not only commanding Isaac but his entire household including Ishmael and his 12 sons, and the six sons he had with Keturah.

Jubilees 20:1-3

“And in the forty-second jubilee, in the first year of the seventh week, Abraham called Ishmael, and his twelve sons, and Isaac and his two sons, and the six sons of Keturah, and their sons. And he COMMANDED them that they should GUARD THE WAY OF YAHWEH (Psalms 119: 1” Blessed are the undefiled in THE WAY, who walk in the Torah of YAHWEH), that they should work righteousness (Deuteronomy 6:25  “And it shall be our RIGHTEOUSNESS, if we observe and do all these commandments before YAHWEH our ELOHIM, as He has commanded us.”), and each love his neighbor (Leviticus 19:18 “You shall not bear any enmity against the children of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am YAHWEH” ), and act in this way among all men that they should each walk this way with regard to them as to do judgement and righteousness on the earth. That they should circumcise their sons (Genesis 17, Leviticus 12:3), according to the covenant which He (YAHWEH) made with them, and not to DEVIATE to the right hand or the left of all the paths which YAHWEH had commanded us. And that we should guard ourselves from all whoring and uncleanness, and renounce from among us all whoring and uncleanness;”

Jasher 22:40

“And Isaac the son of Abraham was growing in those days, and Abraham his dad TAUGHT HIM THE WAY OF YAHWEH TO KNOW YAHWEH, and YAHWEH was with him.”

Jasher 9:5-6

“And when Abram came out from the cave, he went to Noah and his son Shem, and he remained with them to LEARN THE CORRECTION OF YAHWEH and His WAYS, and no man knew where Abram was, and Abram served Noah and Shem his son for a long time. And Abram was in Noah’s house thirty-nine years, and Abram KNEW YAHWEH (1 John 2:3-4 “And by this we will be sensible that we KNOW Him, if we keep His commandments. For he that says I know Him, and does not keep His commandments is liar and the truth is not in him) from THREE YEARS OLD, and he went in the ways of YAHWEH until the day of his death, as Noah and his son Shem had TAUGHT HIM.”

Being that Abraham’s dad Terah was an idol worshipper not walking with YAHWEH, YAHWEH made sure that Abraham ended up in the house of Noah to learn the Torah.

Jasher 28:18

“At that time Isaac sent his younger son Jacob to the house of Shem and Eber, and he LEARNED THE INSTRUCTIONS of YAHWEH, and Jacob remained in the house of Shem and Eber for thirty-two years, and Esau his brother did not go, for he was not willing to go, and he remained in his dad’s house in the land of Canaan.”

Jasher 50:15-16

“And Joseph’s wife Asenath the daughter of Potiphera bore two sons to him: Manasseh and Ephraim, and Joseph was thirty-four years old when he brought them forth. And the lads grew up and they went in his ways and in his instructions, they did not deviate from the way which their dad TAUGHT THEM, either to the right or left. And YAHWEH was with the lads, and they grew up and had understanding and skill in all wisdom and in all the affairs of government, and all the king’s officers and his great men of the inhabitants of Egypt exalted the lads, and they were brought up among the king’s children.”

Jasher 55:2-4

“Behold the word of YAHWEH came to him (Jacob), saying, “Go down to Egypt with all your household and remain there; and do not fear going down to Egypt for I will make you a great nation there.” And Jacob said in his heart, “I will go and see my son whether the FEAR OF HIS ELOHIM is yet in his heart in the midst of all the inhabitants of Egypt.” And YAHWEH said to Jacob, “Do not fear for Joseph, for he retains his integrity TO SERVE ME, as will seem good in your eyes.” And Jacob rejoiced exceedingly concerning his son.”

Jacob taught Joseph and Jacob was concerned whether Joseph was still following YAHWEH. And we see that Joseph did not turn away from following YAHWEH while in Egypt. Proverbs 22:6 again “Train up a CHILD in the WAY he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Jasher 55:35

“And Joseph was very aged, advanced in days, and his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh remained constantly in the house of Jacob, together with the children of the sons of Jacob their brothers, to LEARN THE WAYS OF YAHWEH AND HIS TORAH.’

Jasher 28:18

“At that time Isaac sent his younger son Jacob to the house of Shem and Eber, and he LEARNED THE INSTRUCTIONS of YAHWEH, and Jacob remained in the house of Shem and Eber for thirty-two years, and Esau his brother did not go, for he was not willing to go, and he remained in his dad’s house in the land of Canaan.”

Testament of 12 patriarchs all telling their children to keep the Torah:

Testament of Rueben 6:8-7:1

“Therefore I COMMAND you to listen to Levi, because he will KNOW THE TORAH of YAHWEH, and will give statutes for judgment and will slaughter for all Yisra’el until the end of times, as the anointed high priest, of whom YAHWEH spoke. I call to witness the ELOHIM of the heavens, that you do truth (Psalms 119:142), each one, to this neighbor; and to entertain love, each for his brother. And draw near to Levi in humility of heart, that you may receive a blessing from his mouth. 7:1-2 “And Rueben died, having given these commands to his sons. And they placed him in a coffin until they carried him up from Egypt, and they buried him in Hebron in the cave where his dad was.”

Testament of Levi 13:1-9

“And now my children, I COMMAND you: Fear YAHWEH your ELOHIM with all of your heart…

Levi said fear YAHWEH to his children for a reason as we see it written in:

Provers 9:10

“The FEAR of YAHWEH is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the righteous is understanding.”

Testament of Levi continued “and walk according to ALL HIS TORAH. And also TEACH YOUR CHILDREN LETTERS (I’m seeing a good opportunity to teach them the OTIOT), that they may have understanding all their life, reading the Torah WITHOUT CEASING. For everyone that KNOWS THE TORAH OF YAHWEH will be honored, and will not be a stranger wherever he goes. Yes, he will gain many more friends than his parents, and many men will desire to serve him, and to hear the Torah from his mouth. Work righteousness (Deuteronomy 6:25) on the earth, my children, that you may have a treasure in heaven. And so good things in your beings, that you may find them in your life. But if you sow evil things, you will reap every trouble and affliction. Get wisdom in the fear of ELOHIM with diligence. For though there will be a leading into captivity, and cities and lands will be destroyed, and gold and silver and every possession will perish; nothing can take away the wisdom of the wise, except blindness of profanity, and the hardness that comes from sin. For if he keeps himself from these evil things then wisdom will be esteem to him, even among his enemies; in a strange county a fatherland, and in the midst of foes will prove a friend. Whoever teaches noble things and does them, will be enthroned with kings, as was also Joseph my brother.”

Testament of Judah 26:1

“Therefore my children, guard ALL THE TORAH OF YAHWEH, for there is hope for all them who hold fast to His ways.”

Testament of Issachar 5:1-2

“Therefore my children, GUARD THE TORAH OF ELOHIM, and get singleness of heart. And walk without deceit, not being a nuisance with the business of your neighbor. But love YAHWEH and your neighbor and have compassion on the poor and weak (Deuteronomy 15:11 “For the poor shall never cease out of the land; therefore I command you, saying, you shall open your hand wide to your poor brother and to the needy in your land.”)

Testament of Zebulun 10:1-5

“And now, my CHILDREN, do not grieve that I am dying, nor be cast down because I am coming to my end. For I will rise again in the midst of you, as a ruler in the midst of his sons; and I will rejoice in the midst of my tribe, as many as will GUARD THE TORAH OF YAHWEH, and the commands of Zebulun their dad. But on the profane, YAHWEH will bring eternal fire, and destroy them throughout all generations. But I am hastening away to my rest, as did also my ancestors. But fear YAHWEH (Proverbs 9:10) our ELOHIM with all your strength ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE.”

Testament of Dan 5:1-2

“Therefore, my CHILDREN, GUARD THE COMMANDS OF YAHWEH, and guard HIS TORAH. Depart from anger, and hateful lying, that YAHWEH may dwell among you, and Beliyya’al may fleel from you. Speak the truth, each one with his neighbor, so you will not fall into anger and confusion. But you will be in peace, having the ELOHIM of peace, so will no war prevail over you. Love YAHWEH through ALL YOUR LIFE (John 14:21), and one another with a true heart.”

Testament of Naphtali 8:4-10

“If you work that which is good, my CHILDREN, both men and messengers will bless you, and ELOHIM be esteemed among the nations through you, and the devil will flee from you, and the wild beasts will fear you and YAHWEH will love you. As a man who has TRAINED A CHILD WELL IS KEPT IN KINDLY REMEMBRANCE, so also for a good work there is a good remembrance before ELOHIM. But him that does not do that which is good, both messengers and men will curse, and ELOHIM will be dishonored among the nations through him, and the devil will make him as his own peculiar instrument, and every wild beast will rule him, and YAHWEH will hate him. For the COMMAND OF THE TORAH are twofold, and through carefulness they must be FULFILLED. For there is a season for a man to embrace his wife, and a season to abstain from it for his prayer (1 Corinthians 7:4-5). So, then, there are two commands; and, unless they be done in due order, they bring very great sin upon them. So also it is with the other commands. Therefore be wise in ELOHIM, my children, and prudent, understanding the order of His commands, and every WORD OF THE TORAH (Deuteronomy 8:3), that YAHWEH may love you.”

Testament of Gad 3:1-3

“And now, my CHILDREN, listen to the words of truth (Psalms 119:142) to work righteousness (Deuteronomy 6:25), and all the TORAH OF THE MOST HIGH, and go not astray through the spirit of hatred, for it is evil in all the doings of men. Whatever a man does, the one who hates sees him as abominable; and though a man works the Torah of YAHWEH, he does not praise Him; though a man fears YAHWEH, and takes pleasure in that which is righteous, he does not love Him. He dispraises the truth, he envies him that prospers, he welcomes evil-speaking, he loves arrogance, for hatred blinds his being; as I also then looked on Joseph.”

Testament of Asher 6:1-4

“Therefore, my CHILDREN GUARD THE COMMANDS OF YAHWEH, following the truth (Psalms 119:142) single-mindedly. For they that are double-minded are guilty of double sin; for they both do the evil thing, and they have pleasure in them that do it, following the example of the spirits of error, and striving against mankind. Therefore you, MY CHILDREN, GUARD THE TORAH OF YAHWEH, and do not pay attention to evil as to good; but look to the thing that is really good, and guard it in all the commands of YAHWEH, speaking of them, and resting in them (Jeremiah 6:16).”

Testament of Joseph 18:1-2

“Therefore, walk in the commands of YAHWEH, MY CHILDREN, and He will exalt you there, and will bless you with good things forever and ever. And if anyone seeks to do evil to you, do good to him and pray for him, and you will be redeemed by YAHWEH from all evil.”

Testament of Benjamin 10:3-4

“And after he had said these things, he said to them, “Therefore my children, know that I am dying. So do truth and righteousness each one to his neighbor, and judgement to confirmation, and GUARD THE TORAH OF YAHWEH and His COMMANDS. For I leave you these things instead of inheritance. Enoch 82:1-4

“And now, MY SON Methuselah, all these things I am recounting to you and writing down for you, and I have revealed to you everything, and given you books concerning all these: so preserve, my son Methuselah, the books from your dads hand, and see that you deliver them to the generations of the world. I have given wisdom to you and your children, and your children that will be born to you, that they may give to their children for all the generations that are discerning. All these wise ones shall give praise, and wisdom shall dwell upon your consciousness. And those who understand (Proverbs 9:10) it shall not sleep, but shall listen with the ear that they may learn this wisdom, and it shall please those that eat it more than good food.” Blessed are the righteous, blessed are all those who walk in the way of righteousness and sin not as the sinners…”

I pray that you see the importance of teaching your children the Torah just as YAHWEH commanded it, and as our ancestors obeyed it. HalleluYAH! As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

What does “My yoke is easy and My burden is light” mean?

Mathew 11:28-30

“Come to me all who labor and bear burdens and I will give you rest. Bear My yoke upon you and learn from Me. That I am tranquil and I am meek and in My heart you will find tranquility for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Many believe that YESHUA has done all the work for us and that there is nothing left for the believer to do, they believe that all we must do is rest in YESHUA and His finished work on the execution stake and that He set us free from the Torah. Also, they believe the Shabbat is not a literal rest but resting spiritually in YESHUA what many called a “Spiritual Shabbat.” Let’s take a look at these verses and see what YESHUA is really saying!

Come to Me all who labor and bear burdens and I will give you rest:

The word burden in the Strong’s concordance is #G5412 which means to load up (properly as a vessel or animal) that is (figuratively) to OVERBURDEN WITH CEREMONY (or spiritual anxiety).

YESHUA is making a reference to farming to make His point by using what they could understand. Farming was something many did in their daily lives whether to have food for themselves or to sell to others. YESHUA used the word burdens to make His connection to the message He wanted them to receive, which carries a physical and spiritual meaning:

In the “peshat” the literal meaning of scripture we see that men would load burdens onto donkeys to carry:

Nehemiah 13:15

“In those days I saw in Judah highways filled with traffic on the Shabbat, and men bringing BURDENS LOADED ON DONKEYS; and also wine, grapes, figs, and all manner of BURDENS which they brought into Jerusalem on the Shabbat day; and I testified against them that they might not sell game.”

In the “remez” sense, the hint to a deeper spiritual meaning: The burdens that YESHUA is speaking of is the burden of the Oral Torah of the Pharisees that they placed upon the sons of men. A set of man-made rules and doctrines that were heaven burdens that no man could carry and they went against the written Torah.

Mathew 15:1-9

“Then the scribes and the Pharisees who were from Jerusalem drew near to YESHUA and said, “Why do your disciples TRANSGRESS THE TRADTIONS OF THE ELDERS (Oral Torah) and do not wash their hands when they eat bread? Then YESHUA answered and said to them, “Why also do you TRANGRESS THE COMMANDMENTS OF ELOHIM because of your TRADITIONS? For ELOHIM said, ‘Honor you dad and mother, and anyone who reviles his dad and his mother let him be put to death. But you say anyone who says to a dad or a mother, ‘My offering is whatever you have gained by me, (Korban)’ then he does not need to honor his dad or mother. And you nullify the Word of ELOHIM because of your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophecy concerning you and said, ‘This people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is very far from Me. And they worship Me in vain, while they teach the doctrines of the commandments of the sons of MEN.”

Their TRADITION broke the written Torah because they would do what is called “korban” which is to dedicate a gift to YAHWEH! This was a loophole used by the Pharisees that prevented the gift or resources from being taken and used for another purpose, yet at the same time gave them access to for their continued usage. And in doing so they would not have to honor their parents (Exodus 20:12) and avoid the responsibility.

Mathew 23:1-4

“YESHUA then spoke with the crowds and with His disciples, and he said to them “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the throne of Moses. Therefore, everything that they say to you that you should keep and do, but not according to their deeds, for they talk, but do not. And they BIND HEAVY BURDENS and place them upon the shoulders of the sons of men, but they do not desire to touch them with their fingers.”

Now you can see the imagery, the same way men place burdens upon the shoulders of donkey’s is the same way the Pharisees placed heavy burdens of the Oral Torah upon the sons of men.

Acts 15:10

“And now, why do you test ELOHIM so as to place a YOKE upon the necks of the disciples that which not even our forefathers nor us were able to carry?”

The yoke that Peter is referring to is the Oral Torah of circumcision that I outlined in the “Defending Apostle Paul” message. This whole topic at the Jerusalem Council surrounded this topic as the Pharisees were pressuring the gentiles into getting circumcised according to their “misuse of circumcision” so that the gentiles would receive their “Jewish Status”! They had yearlong ritual that a gentile would have to go through which ended with circumcision, and they believed the blood of their circumcision saved when we know it’s the blood of YESHUA that saves. The topic was don’t pressure the gentiles while they are needing the milk and not the meat, let them learn Torah and then be circumcised. So, these are the burdens that YESHUA spoke of that He was setting us free from.

Another example of this is found in Luke 6:

Luke 6:1-2

“Now it happened on the Shabbat while YESHUA was walking in the fields that His disciples were PLUCKING heads of grain and rubbing them in their hands and eating. And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do the thing that is not Lawful to do on the Shabbat?”

The Pharisees considered the disciples plucking the heads of grain to be “harvesting” and them rubbing the grain in their hands to be “threshing” which they considered work on the Shabbat according to their Oral Torah which is not found in the written Torah. Rather, it shows them obeying the Torah:

Deuteronomy 23:25

“When you come into the standing wheat of your neighbor, you may PLUCK the ears with your HAND; but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.”

As we can see that is exactly what the disciples did, they plucked the grain and did not use a sickle, so it no way were they working/harvesting grain and they were accused of breaking the Pharisees version of the Shabbat not the true Shabbat.

Bear My Yoke upon you and learn from Me:

The etymology for the word yoke is #G2218 which means to join especially with a yoke; a coupling that is figuratively SERVITUDE (A LAW OR OBLIGATION). So, the Yoke that YESHUA is referring to is the Torah and our obligation to be obedient to it.

2 Baruch 41:3

“Because, see, I see many of your people who have withdrawn from your statutes and have cast from them the YOKE OF YOUR TORAH.”

YESHUA was explaining the yoke of the Torah in a way they could understand it by using farming imagery as I explained previously.

Deuteronomy 22:10

“You shall not plow with an ox and and donkey together.”

Do not yoke an ox with a donkey because they are unequally yoked. The people understood that two oxen most be yoked together to plow a field. As Jeff Benner puts it, the custom was to take an older experienced ox and yoke him with a younger inexperienced ox, and the younger inexperienced ox would LEARN from the older experienced ox. So, with this application YESHUA is saying that He is the older experienced ox and that we are the younger inexperienced ox and need to learn the truth from Him.

The first letter in the Otiot is Aleph which is a picture of an OX head. It represents YAHWEH, the number 1, being YOKED to headship and being taught by Headship. So, YESHUA spoke the words of His Father YAHWEH and we are YOKED to Him by the truth of His words that He taught; and we are to sit at His feet like Mary the sister of Martha did and learn the truth from Him.

Deuteronomy 18:18-19

“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak to them all that I shall COMMAND HIM. Whosoever will not hearken to MY WORDS which HE shall speak in My Name, I will require it of him.”

John 12:49

“For I have not spoken from My soul, but the Father who sent Me, He gave a COMMANDMENT to Me what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His commands are eternal life. Therefore, these things that I speak just as My Father told Me, thus I speak.”

John 3:35-36

“The Father loves the Son and all things He has given into His hands. He who believes in the Son has life that is eternal, and he who does not OBEY the Son will not see life, rather the wrath of ELOHIM will rise up against Him.”

John the Baptist is confirming the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18 and YESHUA’s own words that anybody who does not listen to YESHUA will not have eternal life because He is speaking the words of His Father YAHWEH.

John 5:24

“Ahmein, Ahmein I say to you that whoever hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has life that is eternal and does not come into judgment but has passed from death into life.”

John 6:45

“For it is written in the prophets (Isaiah 54:13) that all of them will be taught of ELOHIM. Everyone who hears therefore and learns from the Father comes to Me.”

Let us sit as His feet and listen to the living words that YAHWEH gave to Him to speak:

Luke 10:39-42

“And she (Martha) had a sister whose name was Mary. And she came and seated herself at the feet of our Master and was LISTENING TO HIS WORDS. And Martha was occupied with many chores and came saying to Him, “My Master, you do not seem to care that my sister has left me by myself to chore. Tell her to help me.” But YESHUA answered and said to her, “Martha! Martha! You are anxious and troubled by many things! But there is one thing that is important, and Mary has chosen the good part for herself. That will not be taken from her.’

Let us learn from YESHUA and eat the spiritual food that Mary chose and not be so concerned about the physical food that Martha was worried about. YESHUA said there was only one thing that was important and that was to hear (shema) the word of YAHWEH!

John 6:67-69

“And YESHUA said to His twelve, “Why do you also desire to go? Simon Peter answered and said, “My Master, to whom should we go? You have the words of Life that is eternal. And we believe and know that you are the Messiah, the Son of the Living ELOHIM!”

 You will find tranquility in your souls:

The Cambridge dictionary defines tranquility as a peaceful, calm state, without noise, violence, or worry. This sounds a lot like eternal life, doesn’t it? Strong’s #G372 says intermission; by implication RECREATION, which also sounds like eternal life because all things will be made NEW, and our souls will live for eternity in the new heaven and earth where there is no more sin, death, violence or worry, but rather a place of peace and joy!

Revelation 21:1-5

“And I saw new heavens and a new earth: for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away: and the sea was no more. And I saw the Holy city, the New Jerusalem, descending from ELOHIM out of heaven, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice from heaven, which said: “Behold, the tabernacle of ELOHIM is with men; and He dwells with them: they will be His people; and ELOHIM will be with them, an ELOHIM to them. And every tear will be wiped from their eyes; and there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor wailing; nor will pain be any more; because the FORMER things have passed away.” And He who sat on the throne, said: “Behold, I will make ALL THINGS NEW.” And He said “Write; because these are the faithful and true words of ELOHIM.”

YESHUA saying we will find tranquility/rest for our souls was a quote from:

Jeremiah 6:16

“Thus says YAHWEH, stand in the ways and see, and ask for the OLD PATHS and see where is the good way, and walk in it and find REST for your souls…”

YESHUA will give us rest by the leading of the RUACH HA’KODESH the Holy Spirit teaching and showing us the ancient paths of worship! Which is the truth of the written Torah, the way YAHWEH intended for the Torah to be kept from the very beginning, and to correct the false doctrine of the Oral Torah. YESHUA showed us how to walk out the Torah in obedience as He is our example to follow (1 John 2:6). With the truth of the Torah which is YESHUA who is the written Word that became Living Flesh, His blood atonement and being led by the RUACH HA’KODESH we will find eternal rest for our souls in Paradise, just like we currently find a physical and literal rest on the weekly Shabbat as YESHUA is also the Master of the Shabbat.

John 11:25

“YESHUA said to her, “I am the resurrection and the Life! Whoever puts His trust in Me: will live, even if he dies; and everyone living and trusting in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

2 Baruch 30:1-2

“And after these, when the time of the advent (the coming) of the Messiah will be fulfilled and He will return in esteem, then all those who have fallen asleep in hope of Him will rise. At that time, those reservoirs will be opened in which the number of the souls of the righteous have been preserved, and they will come out, and the abundance of the souls will appear together in ONE assembly, of one mind. The first will rejoice, and the last will not be saddened, for they know that the time has arrived of which it is said that it is the consummation of times.”

Notice how at the resurrection that the righteous will rise up to eternal life? This goes to everything that YESHUA is saying that is required to have rest for our souls which is walking in the ancient paths of the Torah.

1 John 2:29

“If you know that He (YESHUA) is righteous, you also know that whoever DOES righteousness is from Him.”

Deuteronomy 6:25

“And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe and do all these commandments before YAHWEH our ELOHIM, as He has commanded us.”

For My Yoke is pleasant and My burden is Light:

The Yoke/Torah is pleasant and a joy

Psalms 1:1-2

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the way of the unrighteous, nor abides by the counsel of the sinners, nor sits in the company of mockers; but his DELIGHT IS IN THE TORAH OF YAHWEH, and on His TORAH does He meditate day and night.”

Psalms 19:7-8

“The Torah of YAHWEH is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of YAHWEH is trustworthy, making wise the young men. The statutes of YAHWEH are right, REJOICING THE HEART; the commandment of YAHWEH is pure, enlightening the eyes.”

Jeremiah 15:16

“Your commandments have I kept and carried out, Your word was to me A DELIGHT AND THE JOY OF MY HEART; for I am called by Your Name.”

His burden is light:

The Torah it is not hard to do, you just must give your life to YESHUA and be led by the RUACH HA’KODESH and you see that is a joy as David, Jeremiah and our ancestors said. Observing the Torah is not a burden:

1 John 5:3

“For this is the love of ELOHIM, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not BURDENSOME.”

Deuteronomy 30:10-14

“If you will obey the voice of YAHWEH your ELOHIM, and keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the Torah, and if you turn to YAHWEH your ELOHIM with all your heart and with all your soul. For this commandment which I command you this day is not HIDDEN from you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it down to us, that we may hear it and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, who shall go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it? But the word is very NEAR you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you MAY DO IT.”

Our Father YAHWEH did not give us a Torah that we could not do. Rather it’s the hardness of men’s hearts to obey it, so He sent His Son YESHUA to die for our sins because we broke His Torah, then YESHUA ascends to heaven and gives us the RUACH HA’KODESH who leads us into all truth which is defined as the Torah (Psalms 119:142). It’s not burdensome, it is freedom from sin and death.

James 1:25

“But everyone that looks upon the perfect Torah of LIBERTY/FREEDOM and lives fully in it, is not a hearer of something to be forgotten, but a DOER of the things; and he will be blessed in his work.”

YESHUA delivered a very powerful message to us in very few words! The people whom He was talking to understood His message and I pray that you to understand it as they did. As always, may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

When was YESHUA crucified?

Mathew 12:40

“For as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights, likewise will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.”

One of the biggest questions is what day YESHUA was crucified? Many say He was crucified on Friday, but when you think about it that would not add up to three days and three nights. Friday night to Saturday night is ONE day, so something does not add up, and reading the scriptures out of the Aramaic helps to clear up the issue.

Also, YESHUA’s death matches perfectly with the Zadok Priestly Calendar because Passover is observed on the 14th Day of the 1st month and when the sunsets is the start of The Feast of Unleavened Bread which is the 15th Day of the 1st month. On the Zadok Priestly Calendar none of YAHWEH’s holy days shift around to different days of the week each year because they are set and do not move. So, Passover always falls on a Tuesday and I will show from this timeline is that is when YESHUA observed His Passover when the lamb was prepared, and the 15th for Unleavened Bread. I will also show what day He was crucified, and how many days was He in the heart of the earth meaning Sheol.

Mathew 26:17-19

“Now on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples, drew near to YESHUA and said to Him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you eat the Pesach (Passover)? And He said to them, “Go to the city, to a certain man and say to him, “Our Master says My time it has arrived. With you I will perform the Passover among My disciples.” And His disciples did as He commanded them. And they prepared YESHUA the Passover.”

Firstly, during the time of the 2nd Temple period they began to mix Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread together because they are so close together, when in actuality they are separate events that are so closely tied in together that they just began to call the entire observance the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Just to clarify what I mean let’s go to scripture.

Leviticus 23:5-6

“On the FOURTEENTH DAY of the first month at evening (erev/twilight) is YAHWEH’s Passover.” And on the FIFTEENTH DAY of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened bread to YAHWEH; for seven days you must eat unleavened bread.”

So, from the scripture we read in Mathew shows that it is currently the 14th day of the 1st month the day of Passover when the Passover lamb was to be slaughtered, which is why the disciples asked him where do you want us to prepare the Passover.

Exodus 12:6 (Aramaic)

“And you shall keep it (lamb) until the FOURTEENTH DAY of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Yisra’el shall kill it at sunset.”

Now we have to remember the Hebrew word erev can mean before sunset at twilight just as it is intended here.

Exodus 12:6 (Septuagint)

“And it shall be kept by you until the fourteenth of this month and all the multitude of the congregation of the children of Yisra’el shall kill it TOWARD EVENING.”

Toward evening carries the same meaning as we see in the Aramaic which is twilight/in between the evenings, which makes a clear distinction that once the sunsets is set that it is the start of a new day. Since a day is EVENING to EVENING, YAHWEH is making it clear to slaughter the lamb IN BETWEEN THE EVENINGS AT TWILIGHT while it’s still the 14th day of the month, because at sunset will be the 15th.

So, once the disciples made the preparations and had the lamb slaughtered at twilight while it was still the 14th day of the 1st month, they were now ready to eat the Passover meal on the start of the next day which is the evening of the 15th. A new day had begun which is the start of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Jubilees 49:1 (Hebrew fragments found in Dead Sea Scrolls)

“Remember the command which YAHWEH commanded you concerning the Passover, that you should celebrate it at its appointed time, on the fourteenth day of the first month; that you should slaughter it BEFORE IT IS EVENING (Twilight/in between the evenings), so that they may eat it by NIGHT ON THE EVENING OF THE FIFTEENTH FROM THE TIME OF THE SETTING OF THE SUN.”

Exodus 12:18

“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at EVENING (Start of the 15th Day) you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at EVENING.”

We see YESHUA and His disciples following the scriptures perfectly and now we see them eating the Passover that night on the evening of the 15th the start of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, so when the sunset the day shifted from Tuesday the 14th to currently being Wednesday the 15th.

Mathew 26:20

“And when it was EVENING, He (YESHUA) was reclining among His twelve disciples. And while they were DINING (eating) He said, “Truly I say to you, that one of you will betray Me.”

Mark’s account begins to add the extra details we need to piece together the timeline.

Mark 14:17-30 (Parenthesis mine)

“And when it became EVENING, He came with His twelve and while they were reclining and EATING, YESHUA said, “Truly I say to you that one of you who eats with Me will betray Me.” And they began to be grieved and were saying to Him one at a time, “Is it I?” And He said to them, “It is one of the twelve who dips with Me in the dish. And the Son of Man will go as it is written concerning Him, but woe to that man by whose hand the Son of Man is betrayed. It is better for Him if He had not been born.” Then while they were eating, YESHUA took bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to them and said to them, “Take it. This is My body.” And He took a cup and gave thanks and blessed it and gave it to them and all of them drank from it. And He said to them, “This is My blood of the renewed covenant, shed for the sake of many. I say truly to you that I will not drink from the fruit of the vine again until that day in which I will drink it anew in the Kingdom of ELOHIM.” There they offered praise and went out to the Mount of Olives. YESHUA said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble at Me in this NIGHT (proving it’s still Wednesday the 15th day of the 1st month). For it is written that “I will strike the shepherd and his lambs will be scattered.” But when I have risen, I will be in Galilee before you.” Peter said to him, “Even if all of them stumble, I will not stumble.” YESHUA said to him, “Truly I say to you that you TODAY in this NIGHT you will deny Me three times before the cock will crow.”

As we see, it is Wednesday the 15th day of the 1st month during the Feast of Unleavened Bread and its nighttime. YESHUA and His disciples had just eaten the Passover lamb with the unleavened bread and bitter herbs and YESHUA says that all the disciples will stumble in Him in this NIGHT and He says to Peter that TODAY in this NIGHT that he will deny Him three times.” Again, this proves YESHUA recognizes a day begins at sunset and that night is a part of the day. Roth notes this “Indicating that YESHUA held the day to begin at sunset, Aramaic reads “yomana b’layila hama qedem” (this DAY in the NIGHT before) the rooster crows before dawn, so the day must begin at sunset!

It is critical to see this because all these events are playing out on Wednesday the 15th day of the 1st month that began at night.

Mark 14:32

“Then they came to a place which was called Gethsemane, and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” And He took with Him Peter and James and John and He began to be sad and depressed and He said to them “Grievous, even to death is this situation to My soul. Remain here and be alert.” And He went on a little and fell upon the ground and was praying that if possible, this hour might pass from Him. And He said, “Father! My Father! Anything is possible for You. Make pass from Me this cup- yet, not My will but Yours.” And He came and found them while they were sleeping, and He said to Peter, Simon you are sleeping! Are you not able to stay alert one hour? Stay alert and pray or else you enter into temptation. The spirit is willing and ready, but the body is weak.” And He returned, prayed and came again and found them while they were sleeping, because their eyes were heavy and they were not realizing what to say to Him. And He came a third time and said to them, “Sleep now and rest the end has arrived and the hour has come and behold the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. Arise! Let us go! Behold he who betrays Me draws near Me.” While He was still speaking, there came Judas, one of the twelve, and many people with swords and staves from being with the chief priests and scribes and elders. And he, the traitor who had betrayed him, had given them a sign, and he had said, “He whom I kiss, that is He seize Him securely and take Him away. And at once he drew near and said to Him, “Rabbi! Rabbi” and kissed Him and they placed their hands on Him and seized Him.”

So, as we can see its still night on Wednesday the 15th day of the 1st month and Judas betrays YESHUA, and they seize Him. They then took YESHUA to Qayapha the high priest and they were accusing Him and bearing false witness against Him.

Mark 14:55-64

“The chief priests and all their assembly were seeking testimony against YESHUA, so that they might kill Him. But they did not find it. For while many were testifying against Him, their testimony was not worthy. Some false witnesses rose up against Him and they said, “We heard Him when He said that ‘I will tear down this temple which was made with hands, and in three days I will build another that is not made with hands.” And thus, not even their testimony was worthy. And the high priest arose in the midst and questioned YESHUA and said, “Why do you not answer the accusation they are testifying these things against You? But He was silent and did not answer him anything. And again the high priest asked him and said, “Are You the Messiah, the son of the Blessed One?” And YESHUA said to Him, “I AM. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming upon the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his robe and said “Why are we seeking witnesses now? “Behold, from his mouth you have heard blasphemy! What do you think?” They and all of them judged that He deserved death.’

Mark 15:1 (Parenthesis mine)

“And immediately IN THE MORNING (still the 15th day of 1st month of Unleavened Bread jus the daylight portion) the chief priests with the elders and with the scribes, all of the assembly took counsel and they bound YESHUA and led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate.”

Now during the daylight portion of the same day on the Wednesday the 15th, they took YESHUA to Pilate where He is questioned further, and Pilate found no fault with YESHUA. However, the chief priests excited the crowds to release Bar Abba a murderer to them and to crucify YESHUA.

Mark 15:14-42 (Parenthesis mine)

“And Pilate said to them, “For what evil had He done?” And they all the more were crying out, “Put Him to death on the stake!” And Pilate desired to do the will of the crowds and release Bar Abba to them. Then after YESHUA was scourged, he delivered Him to be executed on the stake. Verse 25 “And it was about the third hour (9 AM the time of the morning sacrifice) when they nailed Him to the stake. And the reason for His death was written in the inscription, “This is the King of the Jews.” Verse 33 And when the sixth hour (12 PM Noon) arrived, there was darkness over all the land until the ninth. And in the ninth hour (3 PM the time of the evening sacrifice), YESHUA cried out in a loud voice and said, Eil! Eil! Lemana shbakthani,” that is “My El! My El! Why have you spared Me? Verse 37 And YESHUA cried out in a loud voice, and He died.” Verse 42 And when the afternoon was setting (late afternoon when the sun is on the decline before the sunsets) on the ANNUAL SHABBAT (meaning the sun was going down on the 15th day of the 1st month, meaning the first day Feast of Unleavened Bread was about to end), Joseph who was from Ramtha, an honorable counselor who was also waiting for the Kingdom of ELOHIM, came and took courage and approached Pilate and requested the body of YESHUA. And Pilate marveled that He was already dead, and He called the centurion and asked Him if He had already died. And when he learned it, he gave His body to Joseph. And Joseph brought linen cloth and took Him down and wrapped Him in it and placed Him in a grave that was hewn out in the rock. And he rolled the stone upon the door of the grave. And Mary of Magdala and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where He was laid.”

As the timeline shows us, YESHUA was crucified at 9 am in the morning on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, which is Wednesday which perfectly aligns with the Zadok Priestly Calendar. YESHUA dies at the 9th hour which is 3pm, so this allows for Joseph to take YESHUA’s body down from the stake around 4pm, because remember the body must be buried the SAME DAY according to the Torah!

 Deuteronomy 21:22-23 (Aramaic Peshitta Old Testament)

“And if any man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is crucified on a tree, and thus put to death; his body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but you shall bury him THE SAME DAY (for he who shall revile ELOHIM shall be crucified), and you shall not defile your land, which YAHWEH your ELOHIM gives you for an inheritance.”

John 19:31-42 (Parenthesis mine)

“And the Jews, because it was the setting of the day said, “These bodies should not remain on their stakes because the ANNUAL SHABBAT (The first day of feast of unleavened bread) is closing (coming to an end).” For it was a HIGH DAY (meaning High Shabbat which the first day of feast of unleavened bread is), that they entreated Pilate that they might break the legs of those who were nailed to the stake and take them down. Verse 38 After these things Joseph, who was from Ramtha, pleaded from Pilate that he might take the body of YESHUA because he was a disciple of YESHUA and had concealed himself for fear of the Jews. And Pilate gave permission, and he came and took the body of YESHUA. And Nicodemus also came, he who had come previously to YESHUA at night. And he brought with him spices and myrrh and of aloe, about one hundred pints. And they took the body of YESHUA and bound it in linen and with the spices, as the custom for the Jews when they bury. Now there was a garden in that place that YESHUA was executed in, and in that garden a new tomb that a man had not yet been laid in it. And they placed YESHUA there because the ANNUAL SHABBAT (The first day of the feast of unleavened bread a High Shabbat) was turning over (meaning the sun was about to set to end the day) and the tomb was near.”

So, Joseph had YESHUA’s body down from the stake while it was still Wednesday the 15th, which gave him close to two hours to place YESHUA’s body in the tomb before the sunset. And with this timeline it matches what YESHUA said perfectly that He would be in the heart of the earth for 3 Days and 3 Nights.

Wednesday night to Thursday night (DAY 1)

Thursday night to Friday night (DAY 2)

Friday night to Saturday night (DAY 3)

And then YESHUA rose on the Sunday the 1st day of the week. And we see that not only was YESHUA observing the solar Zadok Priestly calendar, but also that it would be impossible for Him to be crucified on Friday and be in the tomb for the 3 days and 3 nights which is clearly ONE day. In order to fully understand this we always have to view scripture through the lens of the Hebraic culture. We have already established that The first day and seventh day of Feast of Unleavened Bread is a High Shabbat, so the scriptures that read “Preparation Day” in most translations is referring to the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and not the weekly 7th Day Shabbat. For example, the two Mary’s saw where YESHUA’s body was laid on that Wednesday the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, and they went and prepared spices.

Luke 23:54-56

“And the day was ending and the Annual Shabbat (The first day of the feast of unleavened bread) was closing. And those women who came with him from Galilee were drawing near, and they saw the tomb, and how the body was placed. And they returned and prepared spices and perfume and rested on the WEEKLY SHABBAT as was commanded.”

So, the two Mary’s saw the burial site on the late afternoon of Wednesday during the High Shabbat of the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. They prepared spices sometime on Thursday or Friday morning before sunset and then rested on the weekly 7th day Shabbat. Then after Shabbat was over, they were coming to the tomb with the spices that they prepared for YESHUA’s body. This timeline of events doesn’t conflict with the words of YESHUA, the Torah, or the Zadok priestly calendar, but rather confirms them and clears up the confusion.

Is fornication acceptable?

Growing I always heard how fornication was something that was unacceptable, because everyone is supposed to be married before engaging in sexual relations, and I still hold to that view to this day. However, I have heard some who say that fornication is not a sin, but rather a New Testament concept. I knew that fornication was a sin; however, I admit that this question forced me to look into the situation further and I’m thankful for it.  So, we are going to view Old and New Testament using the Aramaic and Complete Jewish Bible. I first would like to start off with Paul’s statement on this subject which is plain and clear and go from there.

1 Corinthians 6:9 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“Don’t you know that UNRIGHTEOUS PEOPLE will have no share in the Kingdom of ELOHIM? Don’t delude yourselves- people who ENGAGE IN SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse…”

This is a clear warning to all that sex before marriage is considered unrighteous, and is one of the many sins that Paul lists of those who will not inherit eternal life. Paul separates fornication from idolatry in the same passage making a distinction. Even Tobit which is in the Apocrypha included in the Original 1611 KJV and found with the Dead Sea Scrolls along with Enoch, Jubilees, Sirach, and Psalms 152-155 says:

Tobit 4:12 (Apocrypha)

“Beware of ALL FORNICATION, my son and first TAKE A WIFE from the seed of your ancestors and do not take a strange wife, who is not from your dad’s tribe: for we are children of the prophets, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Remember, my son, that our ancestors from the beginning ALL MARRIED WIVES of their own relations and were blessed in their children and their seed shall inherit the land.”

Tobit uses the word fornication which would have to be the Hebrew word “zanah”  the word used for the Old Testament, which can be used to describe sex before marriage, whoring or prostitution which we will examine zanah in more detail below. In the very next verse, Tobit tells his son to take a wife, so in context we can see that he wants his son to take a wife so he will not fornicate/whore. Tobit is making a distinction between lawful sexual relations and an unlawful one.

If fornication was acceptable and you could sleep with whomever you wanted, then why would anyone ever get married? You would be able to have fun and die and never worry about any consequences. So ask yourself this, if YESHUA says we cannot even lustfully look at a woman without committing adultery, then how much worse it for actually committing the act? Clearly, our ancestors knew better as they all took wives and brought forth children.

The word Zanah #2181 in Hebrew means: adultery, fornication, go a whoring, whore, whoremonger, whorish, whoredom, and harlot..

Zanah can mean harlot as in spiritual idolatry or someone who performs sexual acts in exchange for money. The term whoring isn’t always used as we think of it in our modern society of sexual pleasure for payment, but also means sexual relations outside of a marriage covenant. So, in Hebraic thought the word prostitution, whoring, and fornication are similar in usage.

State-journal.com says:

“What does the Bible implicitly warn on fornication? Defined as sin of PRE-MARITIAL SEX, fornication includes ALL COHABITATION OUTSIDE THE BONDS OF MARRIAGE. Another definition takes it as the sexual intercourse involved in prostitution with a broader sense includes all forms of adultery.”

Righteouswarriors.com explains this very well as describing zanah as whoring and the HalleluYAH Scriptures also translates this Hebrew word as whoring. After this brief article, I’ll give some scriptures to support this view as always.

 “I personally prefer translating "zanah" as "whoring", because it is more gender specific and I think it better captures the essence of the original text. When I use the word "whoring", I mean it in the sense of a sexually promiscuous person, not in the exclusive sense of a prostitute selling sex for money. Prostitution is certainly one form of whoring (zanah), just as adultery (na'aph) is one form of whoring (zanah), but neither prostitution nor adultery DEFINES "zanah". The Hebrew word "zanah" encompasses fornication, prostitution, adultery and idolatry, as shown in the above definitions.

     The American Heritage Dictionary defines "whoring" as:

         1. A prostitute.

         2. A person considered sexually promiscuous.

         3. A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.

     The web site dictionary.com gave the following definition for "whoring": "a woman who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money; prostitute; harlot; strumpet." The very phrase "usually for money" demonstrates that it is certainly possible to commit whoring without money changing hands.

     But whether we prefer to translate "zanah" into English as "whoring" or "fornication", we still need to understand the contextual meaning of "fornication" if we're to have any hope of understanding why the translators chose to use this particular English word to convey the meaning of "zanah" over into English.

     American Heritage Dictionary: "Sexual intercourse between partners who are not married to each other."

     Online Etymology Dictionary: "Voluntary sex between an unmarried man and an unmarried woman."

     WordNet Dictionary: "Voluntary sexual intercourse between persons not married to each other."

     Merriam-Webster's Dictionary: "Consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other."

     American Heritage Dictionary: "Sexual intercourse between a man and woman not married to each other."

     Notice that nowhere in any English definition of fornication is the concept of "paying or charging for sex". It is simply sexual intercourse between a man and a woman who are not married to each other. That is how I have meant the word "whoring" to be understood in our articles. However, if you think exclusively of prostitution when you see the word "whoring", feel free to translate the word in your mind as "fornication" or "promiscuous sex" if you prefer.

Compellingtruth.org adds this:

“The more modern word for whoremonger is a “John” someone who uses a prostitute. However, in the original language of the Bible, whoremonger (a word found in the King James Version of the Bible) is anyone who has sex OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE.” The word is found in Ephesians 5:5 and translated in the English Standard Version as “Sexually immoral”” “For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolator), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.”

So we see a whoremonger which is one of the definitions of Zanah from the Hebrew means sex outside of the marriage covenant. Even in the Aramaic these who do such will not inherit the Kingdom of ELOHIM. And we see this whoremonger has nothing to do with selling their body for payment as we think of a whore in the western world. Now let’s examine scriptures in their context for whoring, whoremonger, and prostitution now that we have defined the usage of the word.

Revelation 22:14-15 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Blessed are they who do His (Master YAHWEH’s) Mitzvot (commandments), that they may have a right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. Without will be dogs and sorcerers, and WHOREMONGERS (fornicators) and manslayers and idolaters, and everyone that loves and does falsehood.”

Genesis 38:24

“And it came to pass, about three months later, that it was told to Judah, saying, Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has been acting like a WHORE (ZANAH); moreover; she is pregnant as a result of her PROSTITUTION.” Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned alive!”

Jubilees 41:17

“And Judah went to the house of her dad, and said to her dad and her brothers, “bring her (Tamar) forth, and let them burn her, for she has worked UNCLEANNESS in Yisra’el.”

Here is an example of how sex outside of a marriage covenant is wrong. Judah did not know that Tamar ACTED like a prostitute wasn’t a professional prostitute, but rather a widow, she ACTED like a prostitute to get back a Judah for him not giving his youngest son Shelah to her as a husband as he promised. The people of the town who saw that Tamar was pregnant did know she acted as a prostitute and they never saw her acting in this capacity before, so they would not assume she was collecting payment for sex, all they knew and were concerned with is that she was a widow living at her dad’s house, under her dad’s authority waiting for Judah’s youngest son Shelah to grow up so she could be married to him. Therefore, it would be impossible for her to get pregnant unless she was having sex outside of marriage. Everyone knew she was a widow because she wore widow garments:

Genesis 38:11

“Then said Judah to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, REMAIN A WIDOW in your dad’s house, until my son Shelah grows up; for he said, lest he die also, as his brothers did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her dads house. And in the course of time Shuah’s daughter, the wife of Judah, died; and Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheepshearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah the Aremite. And it was told Tamar, saying, behold your dad-in-law is going up to Timnath to shear his sheep. And she PUT OFF HER WIDOW’S DRESS, an adorned herself, and covered her face with a veil, an sat down at the parting of the road to Tiimnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she was not given to him to wife.”

So based off the evidence they believed Tamar was WHORING playing a PROSTITUTE by having sex without being married! In context, this had nothing to do with payment and everything to do with sex outside of a marriage covenant which was defined as whoring and prostitution. And we see this in Judah’s own words of him whoring (zanah) and he repented of his acts in the writings of the 12 Patriarchs, which were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls along with the Old Testament, Enoch, Jubilees etc.

Testament of Judah 15:1-6

“He that commits WHORING (ZANAH) is not aware when he suffers loss, and is not ashamed when put to dishonor. For even though a man be a king and commit WHORING, he is stripped of his kingship by becoming the slave of WHORING, as I myself also suffered. For I gave my staff, that is, the backbone of my tribe; and my belt, that is, my power; and my diadem, that is, the esteem of my kingdom. And indeed I REPENTED OF THESE THINGS: I did not eat wine and meat until my old age, nor did I see any joy. And the messenger of ELOHIM, showed me that women bear rule over king and beggar a like, forever. And they take away esteem from the king, and might from the valiant man, and even that little which is the backbone of his poverty from the beggar.”

Deuteronomy 22:20

“But if the charge is substantiated that evidence for the girl’s VIRGINITY could not be found; then they are to lead the girl to the door of her dad’s house, and the men of her town will stone her to death, because she has committed in Yisra’el the disgraceful act of being a PROSTITUTE (ZANAH) while still her dad’s house. In this way you will put an end to such wickedness among you.”

Here we see the woman was expected to be a virgin which would leave no room for sexual relations before marriage and if she was found not to be a virgin while in her dad’s house, she would be stoned to death for being a PROSTITUTE (ZANAH). This is another good indicator that sex in exchange for money isn’t why the girl would be called a prostitute, it’s because she was fornicating, whoring, prostituting, which is described as a disgraceful act.

Judges 19:2

“And his concubine PLAYED THE WHORE (ZANAH) against him, and then arose and went away from him to her dad’s house to Beth-Lehem of Judah, and remained there four whole months.”

Again, in context the unfaithful woman was a concubine and clearly not being paid for sexual relations, yet her actions defined her as a whore.

Mathew 5:32 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“But I say to you that any who put away his wife aside from a case of FORNICATION make her commit adultery.”

Mary was accused of committing fornication because they thought she had sex with someone outside of her marriage covenant with Joseph. They were technically married through the “ketubah” the marriage contract of the betrothal stage, but not yet officially married; therefore, constitutes as fornication/whoring. And this matches the famously taken out of context scripture used to support a divorce and remarriage, but is made clear in the Aramaic Peshitta Old Testament that matches YESHUA’s words. The word PROSTITUTIION is missing in most translations and clears up the issue.

Deuteronomy 24:1 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“If a man takes a wife, and lies with her, and if she finds no favor in his eyes, because he has found some evidence of open PROSTITUTION (ZANAH) in her; then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it to her, and send her out of his house.”

Here we see YESHUA uses the word fornication and the equivalent in the Old Testament is prostitution and they are similar in usage. We can clearly see that there is no mention of the woman selling her body for payment at all, so it was not prostitution in that sense of the word, but a prostitute/whore for having sex outside of the marriage covenant.  And we obviously know that Mary was not prostitute because she was a virgin, but Joseph “thought” she committed fornication/prostitution/whoring until the a messenger revealed it to him in a dream.

 And we see that the Pharisees tried to take a shot at YESHUA because they did not know the power of YAHWEH or the scriptures that He would be born from a virgin, so it had to be supernatural. He was brought forth by the power of the RUACH HA’KODESH, they believed He was born outside the marriage covenant through whoring, fornication, prostitution which shows us this act was unacceptable in YESHUA’s day.

John 8:28-30

“They answered and said to him, “Our father is Abraham.” YESHUA said to them, “If you are sons of Abraham, you would do the deeds of Abraham!” But now behold, you seek to kill Me, a man who truthfully spoke with you that which I heard from ELOHIM. This Abraham did not do! But you do the deeds of your father.” They said to Him, “We do not come from FORNICATION.” We have one Father, ELOHIM.”

Clearly fornication is a term used for sex outside of the marriage covenant. Now that we have defined what whoring and prostitution mean we can glean from examples from other book that were removed. Rueben slept with his dad’s wife Bilhah and she was not a prostitute, he did not pay money to lie with her, yet he defines his act with her as whoring and warns his sons to flee from it:

Genesis 35:22

“And it came to pass, when Yisra’el dwelt in that land that Rueben went and lay with Bilhah, his dad’s concubine; and Yisra’el heard of it…”

Testament of Rueben 1:6

“And behold I call to witness against you this day the ELOHIM of the heavens, that you should not walk in the SINS OF YOUTH AND WHORING (ZANAH), in which I indulged and defiled the bed of my dad Jacob.” And I tell you that He (YAHWEH) struck me with a heavy wound in my loins for seven months; and had my dad Jacob not prayed to YAHWEH for me, YAHWEH would have destroyed me. For I was thirty years old when I worked EVIL before YAHWEH, and I was sick to death for seven months.”

Testament of Rueben 4:5-9 (Parenthesis mine)

“Therefore, my children, I say to you, guard all things that I command you, and you will not sin. For the SIN OF WHORING is a pit to the being, SEPARATING FROM ELOHIM (This matches what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Don’t delude yourselves that people who engage in sex before marriage will not inherit the Kingdom of ELOHIM” which is a separation from ELOHIM FOREVER). Continued “And bringing it NEAR TO IDOLS (clearly separating sexual sin from idolatry), because it deceives the mind and understanding, and leading young men into SHEOL BEFORE THEIR TIME. For WHORING has destroyed many; because, though a man be old or noble, or rich or poor, he brings reproach upon himself with the sons of men and derision with Beliyya’al. For you heard regarding Joseph, how he guarded himself from a woman, and purged his thoughts from all WHORING, and found favor in the eyes of ELOHIM.”

Testament of Rueben 5:1-4

“For women are evil, my children. Since they have no power or authority over man, they plot by their appearance ways that they may draw him to themselves. And whomever they cannot enchant by appearance, him they overcome by deception. For indeed, concerning them the messenger of YAHWEH told me, and taught me, that women are overcome by the SPIRIT OF WHORING more than men, and in their heart they plot against men and by means of their adornment they deceive first the men’s minds, and by the glance of the eye instill the poison, and then through the accomplished act they take them captive. For a woman cannot force a man openly, but by a WHORE’S ATTITUDE she deceives him.”

Nowhere does Rueben mention whoring by means of paying for sex, he is referring to the act and how she adorns herself with make-up which he equated with a whore’s attitude. And the messenger of YAHWEH even mentions the spirit of whoring that overcomes them.

Testament of Rueben 6:-1-4 (Parenthesis mine)

“Therefore beware of WHORING. And if you wish to be pure in mind, guard your senses from EVERY WOMAN (notice no mention of being on guard against whoring as a prostitute for money sense). And command the women likewise not to associate with men, that they also may be pure in mind. For constant meetings, even if the profane act is not committed, are an incurable disease, and to us a destruction of Beliyya’al and an eternal reproach. For in WHORING there is neither understanding nor reverence, and all jealousy dwells in the lust of it.”

Testament of Simeon 5:2-4

“And now, my children, make your hearts good before YAHWEH, and your ways straight before men. And you will find favor before YAHWEH and men. Beware, therefore, of WHORING, for WHORING is MOTHER OF ALL EVILS, SEPARATING FROM ELOHIM (This matches what Paul and Rueben said) and bringing near to Beliyya’al.”

Jubilees 25:4-7

“And when Jacob spoke to Rebecca, his mother, and said to her, “Behold, mother, I am nine weeks of years old, and I have not KNOWN (sexually) OR TOUCHED A WOMAN (Jacob was a virgin, so clearly he wasn’t running around having sex before marriage), nor betrothed myself to any, nor even think of taking a wife from the daughters of Canaan. For I remember, mother, the words of Abraham, our father, for he commanded me not to take a wife from the daughters of Canaan, but to take a wife from the seed of my dad’s house and from my relatives. I have heard before that daughters have been born to Laban, your brother, and I have set my heart on them to take a wife from among them. And for this reason I have GUARDED MYSELF IN MY SPIRIT AGAINST SINNING or being corrupted in all my ways throughout all the days of my life; for Abraham my father gave me many commands with regard to lust and WHORING.”

Abraham instructed Jacob and he listened to him by remaining pure. He waited to take a wife before he had sex because Abraham told him that whoring (sex outside of a marriage covenant) is sinning along with taking a wife from the land of Canaan.

Serious punishment for it:

Men are not exempt from this as we see from the writings of the 12 Patriarchs about how ashamed they were for committing the act and warned their children not to do it. For, women sex outside of a marriage covenant (Zanah, whoring, fornication, prostitution) could mean death for the act which shows how serious this issue was as we will see in the scriptures below:

Leviticus 21:9

“And the daughter of any priest, when she starts playing the WHORE (ZANAH), she profanes her dad; she shall be burned with fire.”

Nowhere is it indicated that she was selling her body for money, but rather that she was having sex outside of a marriage covenant while under her dad’s authority, because she was living with him, which is why she profanes her dad. Numbers 30 gives us proof of this by how a dad can cancel the vow of his daughter while she is living with him or even her husband when she is living with him under his authority.

Numbers 30:3-5

“If a woman also vows a vow to YAHWEH and binds herself by a bond while she is in her dad’s house in her youth, and her dad hears the vows and the bonds wherewith she has bound herself, and her dad shall keep silent toward her; then all her vows shall stand and every bond wherewith she has bound herself shall stand. But if her dad shall make them void in the day that he hears of all the vows and all the bonds by which she has bound herself, then they shall not stand; and YAHWEH shall forgive her because her dad had declared them void.”

Deuteronomy 22:20-21

“But if this thing is true, and the tokens of virginity are not found for the damsel; then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her dad’s house, and the men of the city shall stone her with stones that she die; because she has committed a shameful act in Yisra’el, to play the whore in her dad’s house; so you shall put away evil from among you.”

Jubilees 20:4

“And if any woman or maiden WHORES amongst you, BURN HER WITH FIRE, and let them not whore with her after their eyes and their heart…”

Genesis 38:24

“And it came to pass, about three months later, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has played the HARLOT; and moreover, she is with child because of harlotry. And Judah said, bring her out, and let her be burned.”

Jubilees 41:17

“And Judah went to the house of her dad, and said to her dad and her brothers, “bring her (Tamar) forth, and let them burn her, for she has worked uncleanness in Yisra’el.”

I pray that this message opens some eyes to anyone who looked at whoring and prostitution through the western lens and not the Hebraic lens, to see that it constitutes as money for sex or sex outside of a marriage covenant with the multiple witnesses presented, and that is not acceptable which is why Paul says again:

1 Corinthians 6:9 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“Don’t you know that UNRIGHTEOUS PEOPLE will have no share in the Kingdom of ELOHIM? Don’t delude yourselves- people who ENGAGE IN SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse…”

Again, Paul distinguishes between fornication and idol worship just a Rueben did in the 12 Patriarchs. This is a serious issue, so don’t let your fleshly desires be the thing that holds you out of the kingdom of heaven. As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Defending Apostle Paul!

This study is important and one that both Christians and some who are within the Torah community need to hear in its entirety. The Christians believe that Paul was a true apostle that did away with the Torah and promoted lawlessness and some Hebrews believe that Paul was a false apostle who did away with the Torah. This message is to clear up the misconception about Paul from the incorrect views from both parties. I will quote from an article, then go into Paul’s background, his transformation, and what he was saying about circumcision.

Juchreg.org quotes what I’ve been saying in past messages, but I’ll include this before going into the message:

“Now, before we go any further we'd like to encourage everyone who is interested in getting a thorough grasp of this subject to go out and buy David H. Stern's Jewish New Testament (JNT) (1) and Jewish New Testament Commentary (2). If we could we would just reproduce his Commentary entries on Galatians 3:23b , 2:16b and Romans 3:20b but seeing we can't do that, you're stuck with our feeble attempt at trying to grapple with such an important subject. We are indebted to Mr. Stern's monumental work as the main reference source for this article and for piquing our curiosity enough to get us to study this subject in-depth ourselves in the first place.”

This I completely agree with about David Stern’s work on the New Testament and Paul’s writings. He does a good job translating what Paul was saying using words that give you a better context of what he was actually saying, and I recommend it along with the Aramaic translations to get a clear picture of the culture of that day. Back to the article:

“Paul uses both "under the law" (3) and "works/deeds of the law" (4) to point to a view of the law that is less than ideal. If Paul wanted to speak about a proper understanding of the law (Torah) he uses words like "in law" (Greek: "en nomo") (5) and something to the effect of "en-lawed" (Greek: "ennomos") (6) but interpreters have usually just lumped all these phrases together without bringing the subtle differences to light. Are we splitting hairs? We don't think so, for how do you reconcile Paul's Torah observant life with instances where it looks like he's denigrating the law? For instance Paul: conceded to circumcise Timothy before taking him along in his travels (7); taught in the synagogue on the Sabbath (8); shaved his head because of the Nazarite vow he had taken (9); tried at all costs to be in Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost (10); was falsely accused, according to church elders, of teaching Jews not to circumcise their children and of not following Jewish traditions (11); was upset that he had spoken evil of a ruler of the Jews (12); defended himself against charges that he had offended Jewish law (13) or customs of "the fathers" (14); still fasted on the Day of Atonement (15); and stated that faith establishes the law (16) all in accordance with some aspect of Torah. So the question is, what parts of the law as understood by the people were considered improper? That's where his coined phrases come into play. He makes a clear distinction between a right understanding of the law and an improper one but in most translations this contrast has not been emphasized as it should.”

“Paul never speaks of throwing out the law but only throwing out a set of rules that have been set up so that if you follow them step-by-step you will automatically have to be reconciled to God because of your own efforts. This cannot be for nowhere in this system is found faith which is necessary to be declared righteous before Him.

Unfortunately, today's church doesn't seem to have taken any of this to heart; the vast majority of Christians nowadays would tell you that the law has been thrown away and does not apply to them at all. But Paul's main thrust was not talking about doing away with the law (heaven forbid!) but doing away with a legalistic interpretation of it.”

“Without the re-interpretation of such phrases concerning the law, this will never come out and will never be properly dealt with. It's not that Paul hadn't addressed the issue, it's just that we've all pretty much taken the stance that all these phrases mean the same thing. The Christian world needs to take the time to re-assess these passages and produce a work that clears things up for the average student. We need to change the Christian mindset that says the Torah is somehow inferior to Christ and is therefore considered "bad" and should be ignored—the improper use of the law needs to be clearly separated from the proper.”

“The idea that these phrases need to be made more specific is not new but it hasn't gained any momentum in Christian circles. Mr. Stern quotes from "two distinguished Gentile Christian scholars without any Messianic Jewish axe to grind" who came to the same conclusion, one as far back as 1921:

"...it will be well to bear in mind the fact that the Greek language of Paul's day possessed no word-group corresponding to our 'legalism,' 'legalist' and 'legalistic.' This means that he lacked a convenient terminology for expressing a vital distinction, and so was surely seriously hampered in the work of clarifying the Christian position with regard to the law. In view of this, we should always, we think, be ready to reckon with the possibility that Pauline statements which at first sight seem to disparage the law, were really directed not against the law itself but against that misunderstanding and misuse of it for which we now have a convenient terminology. In this very difficult terrain Paul was pioneering. If we make due allowance for these circumstances, we shall not be so easily baffled or misled by a certain impreciseness of statement which we shall sometimes encounter." (C.E.B Cranfield, The International Critical Commentary, Romans, 1979, p. 853). (17)”

Prayerfully that commentary was enough to open some eyes, but I would like to continue digging into the matter by looking into Paul’s background to establish the rest of this message:

Acts 9:1-19 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Now Shaul was yet full of intimidation of and the fury of murder towards the disciples of our Master. And he asked for letters from the chief priests to give to Damascus to the assemblies that if he should find men or women who follow in this path he might arrest them and bring them to Jerusalem. And as he traveled and approached Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven shone upon him. And he was thrown upon the ground, and he heard a voice that said to him, “Shaul! Shaul!” Why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick the stakes.” And he answered and said, “Who are You My Master?” And our Master said, I am YESHUA the Nasraya (Nazarene), He whom you persecute! But rise up and enter into the city, and there will be spoken to you concerning what you should do.” Now the men who were traveling with him on the road were amazed because they heard only a sound, but a man was not visible to them. Shaul got up from the ground and he was not able to see anything though his eyes were open. They brought him by his hands to Damascus. And he was not able to see from three days. And he did not eat and he did not drink. Now there was a certain disciple in Damascus whose name was Khanan-Yah. And Master YAHWEH said to him in a vison, “Khanan-Yah!” And he said, “Behold, it is I my Master and our Master YESHUA said to him, “Arise, go to the street that is called Straight and inquire at the house of Judah for Shaul who is from the city of Tarsus. For behold while he was praying he saw a man in a vision whose name was Khanan-Yah who entered and placed a hand upon him so that his eyes might be opened.” And Khanan-Yah said, My Master YESHUA, I have heard from many concerning this man how much evil he has inflicted on Your set apart (holy) ones in Jerusalem. And behold even here he has authority from the high priests to arrest all those who call upon Your Name!” Then Master YAHWEH said to him, “Arise! Go because he is a vessel to Me, chosen to carry My Name among the gentiles and among kings and among the sons of Yisra’el. For I will reveal to him how much He will suffer because of My Name. Then Khanan-Yah went to the house to him and placed a hand upon him and said to him, “Shaul, my brother, our Master YESHUA has sent me. He who appeared to you on the road while you were coming, that your eyes might be opened and that you might be filled with the RUACH HA’KODESH.” And at once something that resembled scales fell from his eyes, and his eyes were opened.”

Verse 12 and 18 talks about how Paul was blinded but the prophet would lay hands on him to open his eyes, so let’s dig into the deeper meaning concerning this before we move on.

Peshat: is the literal meaning of scripture and we see Paul was literally cured of his physical blindness so that he could see.

Remez: is the hint to a deeper spiritual meaning. We see that Paul had the spiritual blindness taken off his eyes so he could see and walk in the truth of Torah represented by the straight and narrow path from the street called “straight” in verse 11; and turn from the traditions of men, Rabbinical Judaism, the Oral Torah, that he used to observe.

Even looking at the word for the road that Paul was on called “straight” in the Greek is #G2117 Euthus (Yoo-thoos) which means straight (literally) level or (figuratively) TRUE AT ONCE, straight, RIGHT, IMMEDIATELY, STRAIGHT WAY.

As I explained in the Remez portion that this is what happened to Paul, he saw the truth at once/immediately, and walked the right and straight way in service to YESHUA!

Mathew 7:14

“How narrow the door and STRAIGHT the road that leads to life, and few are they, those that find it.”

This is when you know that you have had a true encounter with ELOHIM when you completely leave your old way of life and thinking. When you come out of the darkness of religion to the freedom of the truth. Paul was on his way to persecute more followers of The Way (Those who followed YESHUA) just after approving of Stephen’s death. He then was filled with the RUACH HA’KODESH and begins to spread the truth about YAHWEH, YESHUA, and the Torah. So, if you are saying Paul was a false apostle and that the work did he did for YAHWEH was of the devil, is that not blasphemy of the RUACH HA’KODESH? There is nothing false in the RUACH HA’KODESH as YESHUA already told us in John 16:13 that the RUACH HA’KODESH will lead us into all truth, NOT falsehood!

Acts 22:5 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Brothers, and fathers, listen to my defense before you.” And when they perceived that he addressed them in Hebrew, they were the more quiet: and he said to then: “I am a man who am a Jew; and I was born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but was brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, and instructed PERFECTLY IN THE TORAH of our fathers; and I was zealous for ELOHIM, as you also are.”

Acts 26:22-23 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“But to this day ELOHIM has helped me, and I lo, I stand and hear testimony to the small and to the great to you saying nothing aside from Moses and the prophets, but the very things which they declared were to take place: namely, that Messiah would suffer, and would become the first fruits of the resurrection from the dead; and that He would proclaim light to the people and to the gentiles.”

So here we see that Paul turned from his old lifestyle to speaking the truth of the Torah and prophets that YESHUA would suffer and die and be raised from the dead, he says he did not speak against Torah, but rather spoke what was written in it.

Acts 28:23

“And they appointed him a day; and many assembled, and came to him at his lodgings. And he explained to them respecting the Kingdom of ELOHIM, testifying and persuading them concerning YESHUA, OUT OF THE TORAH OF MOSES, AND OUT OF THE PROPHETS, from morning till evening.”

So, it is clear that Paul did not speak against the Torah and the prophets, so where is all the confusion coming from when we get to his letters to the assemblies?

He WAS A PHARISEE ,Torah versus Oral Torah

What Paul says in the first chapter of Galatians sets the stage for EVERYTHING Paul says moving forward so this is critical.

Galatians 1:13-14 (Aramaic English New Testament) The Complete Jewish Bible is similar

“You have heard then, regarding my PREVIOUS conduct in TRADITIONAL JUDAISM, especially about how I followed the congregation of ELOHIM and greatly devastated it. And how greatly advanced I was in ORTHODOX JUDAISM, SUPERIOR to most of my countrymen who were also my kin.”

Acts 26:5 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“So then! All Jews know how I lived my life from my youth on, both in my own country and in Jerusalem. They have known me for a long time: and if they are willing, they can testify that I have followed the STRICTEST PARTY IN OUR RELIGION—that is, I have LIVED as a Pharisee.”

Paul is declaring that he WAS meaning in the past tense a Pharisee from the strictest sect of Orthodox Judaism which gives us a clearer understanding of what he used to practice, and now Paul went on to preach AGAINST IT! What a perfect vessel to be used, because he understands the written Torah and now believes in YESHUA, which enables him to be able to warn against the falsehoods of Oral Torah that he knew so well as he said he was advanced in the Oral traditions.  What is Orthodox Judaism? As we see Paul said it was the strictest sect, but what are some of their beliefs?

I covered their strict observances in the message I did titled “YESHUA versus Judaism” but I’ll list some here. They observe 25 hours of Shabbat going an extra hour over, they observe 2 days of Yom Kippur when scripture says from the 9th day at evening to the 10th day at evening which is 24 hours, and they observe Yom Teruah for two days when scripture says one day, they believe you cannot eat meat and dairy at the same time so they have separate sets of everything for dairy and meat such as silverware, pots, pans, and ovens. Wikipedia says Jacob ben Meir argued that infused tastes could endure in a cooking vessel or utensil for up to 24 hours, his suggestion led to the principle, known as ben yomo (Hebrew: son of the day) that vessels and utensils should not be used to cook milk within 24 hours of being used to cook meat (and vice versa), they also believe in the WRITTEN AND oral Torah.

So they use a mixture of both the written and Oral Torah. The Oral Torah is the very thing that YESHUA rebuked the Pharisees for because they held the oral torah OVER the written Torah and Paul was a part of this strict group. I gave some examples so you can see the extremist  heavy burdens they were laying upon men.

Brittanca.com says of Orthodox Judaism:

“In Orthodox Judaism, therefore, both the WRITTEN LAW (Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament) and the ORAL LAW (codified in the Mishna and interpreted in the Talmud) are immutably FIXED and remain the sole norm of religious observance. Orthodox Judaism has resisted modern pressures to modify its observances and has held fast to such practices as daily worship, dietary laws (kashruth), traditional prayers and ceremonies, regular and intensive study of the Torah, and separation of men and women in the synagogue. It also enjoins strict observance of the sabbath and religious festivals and does not permit instrumental music during communal services.”

Other examples in scripture of the view of the Pharisees Oral Torah and their strict laws they added are:

Mark 7:1-7 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“The Pharisees and some of the Torah-teachers who had come from Jerusalem gathered together with YESHUA and saw that some of His disciples ate with ritually unclean hands, that is, without doing a n’tilat-yadayim (A ceremonial handwashing prescribed by the ORAL TORAH to be done before meals and at other times in order to be ritually pure It continues to be a norm in ORTHODOX JUDAISM, David Stern notes). For the Pharisees, and indeed all the Jews, holding fast to the TRADITION OF THE ELDERS, do not eat unless they have given their hands a CEREMONIAL WASHING. Also, when they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they have rinsed their hands up to the wrist; and they adhere to MANY OTHER TRADITIONS, such as washing cups, pots, and bronze vessels. The Pharisees and the Torah-teachers asked Him, “Why don’t your disciples live in accordance with the TRADITION OF THE ELDERS, but instead eat with RITUALLY UNCLEAN HANDS? YESHUA answered them, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites---as it as been written “These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from Me. Their worship of Me is useless, because they teach MAN-MADE RULES AS IF THEY WERE DOCTRINES.”

Luke 6:1-2 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“One Shabbat, while YESHUA was passing through some wheat fields, His disciples began plucking the heads of grain, rubbing them between their hands and eating the seeds. Some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you violating Shabbat?”

They were not violating the Shabbat, it was a violation of their version of the Shabbat through their Oral Torah. They considered the plucking of the grain to be harvesting and the rubbing of the grain in their hands to be threshing; therefore, constituting as work.

Now that we see these are traditions of Orthodox Judaism (legalistic observance of the Oral Torah) we can now understand what Paul is saying in his letters. The biggest one I want to focus on is circumcision as this has always been a stumbling block for Christians and some in Torah community, and they are misunderstanding Paul’s words:

2 Peter 3:15-17 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And account the long suffering of Master YAHWEH to the be redemption; as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom conferred on him, wrote to you; as also In all his letters speaking in them of these things in which there is something difficult to be understood; and which they who are ignorant and unstable pervert, as they do also the rest of the scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, my beloved, as you know these things beforehand, guard yourselves or else, by going after error of the TORAHLESS, you fall from your steadfastness.”

This is exactly why Peter stated what he did because the nuances of Paul’s words will be missed, especially if it is not being read in the original language or without knowing Paul’s Orthodox Jewish background. And even in Peter’s day Paul’s letters were already leading many into the error of LAWLESSNESS as Christianity has done today, Peter is clearing this up that Paul is not saying the Torah is done away with, you just don’t understand his words.

Galatians 2:16-20 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“Even so, we come to realize that a person is not declared righteous by ELOHIM on the ground of his LEGALISTIC OBSERVANCE of Torah commands, but through the Messiah YESHUA’s trusting faithfulness. Therefore, we to have put our trust in Messiah YESHUA and become faithful to him, in order that we might be declared righteous on the ground of the Messiah’s trusting faithfulness and not on the ground of OUR LEGALISTIC OBSERVANCE OF TORAH COMMANDS (Oral Torah). For on the ground of LEGALSTIC OBSERVANCE OF TORAH COMMANDS, NO ONE WILL BE DECLARED RIGHTEOUS.” But if, in seeking to be declared righteous by ELOHIM through our union with the Messiah, we ourselves are indeed found to be sinners, then is the Messiah an aider and abettor of sin? Heaven forbid! Indeed, if I build up AGAIN the LEGALISTIC BONDAGE WHICH I DESTROYED, I really do make myself a transgressor. For it was through letting the TORAH SPEAK FOR ITSELF that I died to its TRADITIONAL LEGALISTIC MISINTERPRETATION, so that I might live in direct relationship with ELOHIM. When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was too; so that my PROUD EGO no longer lives. But the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of ELOHIM had, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not reject ELOHIM’s gracious gift; for if the way in which one attains righteousness is though LEGALISM, then the Messiah’s death was pointless.”

Paul says that if he were to build up again the legalistic bondage which was the Oral Torah that he destroyed then he would make himself a transgressor and his proud ego thinking he could save himself through the man-made Oral Torah died with YESHUA. In other words, Paul was now speaking AGAINST the Oral Torah Rabbinical Judaism he was once a part of and is speaking against any traditional legalistic misinterpretation of the Torah. The legalistic observance of the Torah through the Oral Torah was man-made rules set up that if you followed them step by step then you will be saved and reconciled to YAHWEH by your own efforts and earn salvation, when the truth is we are only saved and reconciled to YAHWEH through YESHUA who died for our sins by trading places with us. However we are to obedient to the WRITTEN TORAH because the commandments are how we KNOW and LOVE YAHWEH and it’s not burdensome.

 If we could save ourselves then we would need no Savior, right? The problem is that we all have sinned and fallen short and sinned against a holy ELOHIM and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). So without YESHUA’s atonement on the stake we don’t have a chance at eternal life, so we cannot save ourselves even through what the Pharisees believed by their Oral Torah.

Ephesians 2:8-9

“For you have been delivered by mercy through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but ELOHIM’s  gift. You were not delivered BY YOUR OWN ACTIONS; therefore no one should boast.”

No man can boast by saying he saved himself, we ALL NEED YESHUA!

This is the reason why I outlined Paul’s background and the views of Orthodox Judaism that he is now speaking out against! This was the attitude of the Pharisees that brought sharp rebuke from YESHUA!

Paul’s misunderstood view on circumcision

Paul never speaks against Torah but he does speak of throwing out a set of rules that have been set up that if you follow them step by step you will automatically be saved and reconciled to YAHWEH because of your own efforts an adding legalistic traditions of Oral Torah will never remove sin!

1 John 4:9-10 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“By this was the love of ELOHIM towards us made known, because ELOHIM sent His only-begotten Son into the world that we by Him might live. In this is love; it was not that we loved ELOHIM, but that ELOHIM loved us and sent His Son as ATONEMENT for our sins.”

Paul is talking about the sacred ritualistic circumcision “status quo” circumcision where they believe that the blood of their circumcision saves when we know it’s the blood of YESHUA that saves. He wasn’t against circumcision itself. We see how the Pharisees viewed it circumcision by saying that if you don’t get circumcised you can’t be saved. This shows the Pharisees trusted in their own ability to be saved.

Acts 15:1 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Now men came from Judah teaching the brothers that unless you are circumcised in the manner of Torah, you ARE NOT ABLE TO LIVE.”

Andrew Gabriel Roth notes: “This is the teaching of those who later became known as the Ebionites, or Messianic Pharisees. Also note that the “life” being mentioned by these proto-Ebionites is, in fact, Eternal life; hence a very serious allegation!”

Clearly Paul was not against circumcision because he circumcised Timothy, so this matches that he did not believe in their legalistic view of circumcision that perverted the Torah.

Acts 16:1-3

“And he came to the city Derbe, and to Lystra. And there was a certain disciple there, whose name was Timothy, the son of a believing Jewish lady, but his dad was a gentile. And all the disciples of Lystra and Iconium gave good testimony of him. Paul was inclined to take him with him: and he took him, and CIRCUMCISED him, because of the Jews that were in that region, for they all knew that his dad was a gentile.”

Jconnet.org says this about Brit milah:

Bris or Brit milah (ritual circumcision) According to Jewish law, a healthy baby boy is circumcised on the eighth day after his birth. The brit milah, the ritual ceremony of removing the foreskin which covers the glans of the penis, is a simple surgical procedure that can take place in the home or synagogue and marks the identification of a baby boy as a Jew. The ceremony is traditionally conducted by a mohel, a highly trained and skilled individual, although a rabbi in conjunction with a physician may perform the brit milah. The brit milah is a joyous occasion for the parents, relatives and friends who celebrate in this momentous event. At the brit milah, it is customary to appoint a kvater (a man) and a kvaterin (a woman), the equivalent of Jewish godparents, whose ritual role is to bring the child into the room for the circumcision. Another honor bestowed on a family member is the sandak, who is most often the baby’s paternal grandfather or great-grandfather. This individual traditionally holds the baby during the circumcision ceremony. The service involves a kiddush (prayer over wine), the circumcision, blessings, a dvar torah (a small teaching of the Torah) and the presentation of the Jewish name selected for the baby. During the brit milah, a chair is set aside for Elijah the prophet. Following the ceremony, a seudat mitzvah (celebratory meal) is available for the guests.

They set aside a seat for Elijah just as they do during the Passover seder, and as I explained in the YESHUA versus Judaism message is that Elijah to come was John the Baptist and he was beheaded, so who are they holding the empty chair for? See (Mathew 11:14, Matthew 17:10-12, Luke 1:17, Malachi 4:5-6)

Wikipedia adds: “Also, in the mid-2nd century, Rabbinical Judaism leaders introduced and made MANDATORY a SECOND STEP adding of circumcision known as Periah and without it was NEWLY declared to have NO SPIRTUAL VALUE.”

I2researchhub.org says regarding Periah:

“It is important to note that the authors quoted here are not from some anti-circumcision faction within Judaism. They desire the tradition to continue, but are showing that Periah is a MAN-MADE TRADITION, not the original divine directive but an extension of it. Jewish sources include much evidence for this unauthorized modification: In Jewish writings circumcision and periah are treated separately. In addition, the Samaritans and Samaritan historical sources emphasize that their circumcision tradition, which continues from pre-peraih separation of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms even until today, does not and never has included periah. Rav plainly states: The commandment of periah was not given to the Patriarch Abraham.”

 How does any man have the authority to say that YAHWEH’s covenant that He made with Abraham does not have any value if they do not do it according to their rabbinical custom? Paul is not against Torah circumcision, he is against their legalistic perversion of it for status quo (the existing order of things, present customs, practices, and power relations.

Abcnews.go.com “Baby dies of herpes in Ritual circumcision by Orthodox Jews” by Susan Donaldson James, March 9, 2012

“New York City is investigating the death last September of a baby who contracted herpes after a “ritual circumcision with oral suction,” in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish ceremony known in Hebrew as metzitzah b’peh. In a practice that takes place during a ceremony known as the bris, a circumcision practitioner, or mohel, removes the foreskin from the baby’s penis, and with his mouth sucks the blood from the incision to cleanse the wound.”

This is a practice that does occur in some of the Orthodox Judaism circles and I was shocked that this even occurred, but it does. From the translation of David Stern, he does not mention the Periah step of circumcision, I want to point all of these extra traditions out to show you how some circles in Judaism viewed circumcision as if it had no spiritual value if you did not do it their way and the reason why many felt you could not be saved if it wasn’t done according to their rules.

Galatians 5 (Parenthesis mine)

“What the Messiah has freed us for is freedom! Therefore, stand firm, and don’t let yourselves be tied up again to a yoke of slavery. Mark my words-----I Sha’ul, tell you that if you undergo b’rit-milah (covenant of circumcision) the Messiah will be no advantage to you at all! Again, I warn you: any man who undergoes b’rit-milah is obligated to observe the entire Torah! (Paul is saying you must have a circumcised heart and understand the covenant that you are entering with YAHWEH, it’s important commitment and step just as immersion/baptism is so make sure your heart is right and ready). You who are trying to be declared righteous by ELOHIM through LEGALISM have severed yourselves from the Messiah! (Because you are trusting in your own step by step man made tradition saying that will save you). You have fallen away from ELOHIM’s favor! For it is by the power of the Spirit, who works in us because we trust and are faithful, that we confidently expect our hope of attaining righteous to be fulfilled. (We will attain righteousness by being led by The Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth of the Torah and away from man-made traditions trying to save ourselves by our own strength). When we are united with the Messiah YESHUA, neither being circumcised nor being circumcised matters; what matters is trusting faithfulness expressing itself through love. (The Torah is love, so if you don’t have a circumcised heart to walk in truth and obey; to love YAHWEH and your neighbor than it doesn’t matter if you don’t’ love). You were running the race well; who has stopped you from following the truth? (The truth is the written Torah Psalm 119:142 “Your righteousness is righteousness forever and Your Torah is TRUTH.) Whatever means of persuasion he used was not from the One who calls you. “It takes only a little hametz to leaven the whole batch of dough.” I am confident that since you are united with the Master, you will take no other view; and I am confident that the one who has been disturbing you, whoever he may be, will have to bear his punishment (so someone was amongst the Galatians was disturbing them with Oral Torah traditions). And as for me, brothers IF AM STILL PREACHING THAT CIRCUMCSION IS NECESSARY, why am I still being persecuted? (Paul is clearly saying that he agrees with circumcision being a necessity according to the Torah commandment by having a new heart, learning Torah then being circumcised, just do not doing according to their version of circumcision) If that were the case, my preaching about the execution stake would cause no offense whatever. I wish the people who are bothering you would go the whole way and castrate themselves! For brothers, you were called to be free. Only do not let that freedom become an excuse for allowing your old nature to have its way. Instead, serve one another in love. For the whole of the Torah is summed up in this one sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself”’ but if you go on snapping at each other and tearing each other to pieces, watch out, or you will be destroyed by each other! What I am saying is this, run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants. For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and The Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions. But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the SYSTEM THAT RESULTS FROM PERVERTING THE TORAH INTO LEGALISM. (We see that Paul is separating the truth of the Torah from being perverted by the acts of the flesh the Oral Torah.)

Galatians 2:3-4

“But they didn’t force my gentile companion Titus to undergo b’rit-milah (circumcision). Indeed, the question came up only because SOME MEN WHO PRENTENDED TO BE BROTHERS HAD BEEN SNEAKED IN----they came in surreptitiously (in a way that attempts to avoid notice or attention; secretively) to SPY out the freedom we have in the Messiah YESHUA, so that they might enslave us.”

This is the reason why Titus was not compelled to be circumcised because there were men acting like brothers who wanting to enslave him with the Oral Torah traditions of circumcision, and Paul is saying we are free in the YESHUA and the written Torah alone, not your version of it. Titus wasn’t circumcised according to this ritualistic circumcision, this clears everything up!

1 Corinthians 7:19

“Being circumcised means nothing, and being uncircumcised means nothing; what does mean something is KEEPING ELOHIM’S COMMANDMENTS.”

Paul is saying that whether you are a Jew or Gentile you are to keep the commandments of YAHWEH and one of the commandments is circumcision see: Genesis 17, Exodus 12:48-49 and Leviticus 12:3

Philippians 3:1-12 Complete Jewish Bible (Parenthesis mine)

“In conclusion, my brothers: rejoice in union with the Master. It is not trouble for me to repeat what I have written you before, and for you it will be a safeguard, beware of the dogs, those evildoers, the mutilated! For it is we who are the circumcised, we WHO WORSHIP BY THE SPIRIT OF ELOHIM and make our boast in Messiah YESHUA (Those who are truly circumcised not only in the flesh but of the heart worship YAHWEH by being led by RUACH HA’KODESH and belief in YESHUA)! We do NOT PUT CONFIDENCE IN HUMAN QUALIFICATIONS, even though I certainly have grounds for putting confidence in such things. If anyone else thinks he has grounds for putting confidence in HUMAN QUALIFICATIONS, I have better grounds:

·        B’rit-milah (circumcision) on the eighth day

·        By birth belonging to the people of Yisra’el

·        From the tribe of Benjamin

·        ‘a Hebrew-speaker, with Hebrew speaking parents,

·        In regard to the Torah, a Pharisee

·        In regard to zeal, a persecutor of the Messianic Community

·        In regard to the righteousness demanded BY LEGALISM, BLAMLESS.

“But the things that used to be advantages for me, I have, because of the Messiah, come to consider a disadvantage. Not only that, but I consider everything a disadvantage in comparison with the supreme value of knowing the Messiah YESHUA as my Master. It was because of Him that I gave up everything and regard it all as garbage, in order to gain the Messiah and be found in union with him, not having any righteousness of my own BASED ON LEGALISM, but having that righteousness which comes through the Messiah’s faithfulness, the righteousness from ELOHIM based on trust. Yes, I gave it all up in order to know Him (How do we know Him? 1 John 2:3-4 “By this we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments, the one who says I know him and does not keep the commandments is a liar in the truth is not in him”, so Paul knows Him in truth of Torah and not legalism of Oral Torah and understanding the importance of YESHUA’s blood sacrifice), that is, to know the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings as I am being conformed to his death, so that somehow I might arrive at being resurrected from the dead.”

As we see Paul is making a distinction between the written Torah of YAHWEH and the legalistic Oral Torah the traditions of men in which he said he was blameless in. Remember what he said in Galatians 1:13-14 that he was of the strictest sect of Orthodox Judaism and he excelled in it more than the others in his country. The Oral Torah and traditions of men are built off saving yourself through your own works by a set of laws to reconcile you to YAHWEH, but Paul knows the only way to be reconciled to YAHWEH is through the blood of YESHUA and following the Torah as it is written without the legalistic misinterpretation that has been added making it a burden upon men. Without belief it is impossible to please YAHWEH, so if you are trusting in saving yourself with man-made traditions, then it does not leave any room for belief in YAHWEH and why HE sent His Son YESHUA in the first place, because we sinned against a holy ELOHIM!

Galatians 3:1-7 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“You stupid Galatians! Who has put you under a spell? Before your very eyes YESHUA the Messiah was clearly portrayed as having been put to death as a criminal! I want to know from you just things one thing: did you receive the SPIRIT BY LEGALISTIC OBSERVANCE OF TORAH COMMANDS or by trusting in what you heard and being faithful to it? Are you that stupid? Having begun with the Spirit power, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN REACH THE GOAL UNDER YOUR OWN POWER? (Trusting in yourselves and legalistic Oral Torah) Have you suffered so much for nothing? If that’s the way you think, your suffering certainly will have been for nothing! What about ELOHIM, who supplies you with the SPIRIT and works miracles among you---does He do it because of your LEGALISTIC OBSERVANCE OF TORAH commands or because you TRUST in what you heard and are faithful to it? (In other words the original message of YESHUA dying for their sins, being led by Holy Spirit, and obeying the written Torah and not living by the Oral Torah). It was the SAME WITH ABRAHAM: “He trusted in ELOHIM and was faithful to Him, and that was credited to his account as righteousness.” Be assured, then, that it is those who live by trusting and being faithful who are really children of Abraham.”

In Galatians 3 Paul again chastises the Galatians for their behavior and in summary of that chapter, what he is saying is that Abraham was justified by belief first and then he was circumcised out of obedience to the command of YAHWEH; however, the Galatians wanted to be justified by circumcision and in the process they lost their belief by trusting in themselves and not the power of the RUACH HA’KODESH, so they went backwards. To apply this in our modern day for any gentiles to be grafted in is to: Have belief in YESHUA, learn the Torah, and then be circumcised out of obedience not as an act of salvation.

Hebrews 11:6

“And without trusting, it is impossible to be well pleasing to ELOHIM, because whoever approaches Him must trust that He does exist and that He becomes a rewarder to those who seek Him out.”

Habakkuk 2:4

“For His soul does not delight in iniquity (lawlessness), but the righteous man shall live by belief.”

Acts 21:19-24 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And we have them wishes of peace; and Paul narrated to them in great detail what ELOHIM had created among the gentiles by his ministry. And when they heard it they esteem ELOHIM. And they sad to hi: “Our BROTHER, you see how many myriads there are in Judea who have believed: and these are all zealous for Torah! And it has been told them, of you, that you teach all the Jews that are among the gentiles to depart from Moshe, by telling them not to circumcise their children, and not to observe the rites of Torah. Now, because they have heard that you have arrived here, do what we tell you. We have four men, who have vowed to purify themselves. Take them, and go and purify yourself with them, and pay the expenses along with them, as they will shave their heads; that everyone may know, that what is said against you is FALSE, AND THAT YOU FULFILL AND OBSERVE TORAH.”

The same way Paul was getting falsely accused then is the same way he is getting falsely accused now because of misinterpretation of his words. As always, may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

Repent PASTORS!

This message is a cry to the Pastors who continue to preach contrary to the Torah and preach replacement theology, for you all to repent! Recognize your identity as a citizen of Yisra’el grafted in and walk in the ancient paths of worship and tell your congregation to do the same because YESHUA will come and like a thief in the night and we must all be ready for His return.

Jeremiah 6:16

Thus says YAHWEH, stand in the WAYS and see, and ask for the OLD PATHS and see where is the good WAY, and walk in it and find rest for your souls. But you said, we will not walk therein.”

YAHWEH says seek the OLD PATH which walking in the Torah as our ancestors did, not the modern lawless “do as thou wilt” path of darkness. YAHWEH is saying you refuse to obey this warning and walk in His Ways, but you would rather walk in your own ways, which is why you should not being in the pulpit preaching lies to the church if you aren’t going to tell them the truth.

Before getting into more scriptures let us examine the Otiot the ancient Hebrew pictograph language to see how important the Torah is to YAHWEH! The Otiot always gives us more detail and a more intimate meaning:

Torah is spelled Taw, Waw, Resh, Hey

Taw is a picture of two crossed sticks and means covenant, mark, sign, signal, monument

Waw is a picture of a tent peg and means to join together, add, secure, hook, nail

Resh is a picture of a man’s head and means chief, first, highest, leader, top, beginning

Hey is a picture of a man with raised hands and means behold, look, reveal, breath

When we combine these letters together we get this message:

The Torah is a covenant, joining us to the Most High YAHWEH, that reveals life through the leading of the RUACH HA’KODESH (Holy Spirit) the revelator.

Now we can see the importance of the Torah which is YESHUA made flesh the Living Torah:

Deuteronomy 32:45-47

“When he had finished speaking all these words to all Yisra’el, he said to them, “Take to heart all the words of my testimony against you today, so that you can use them in charging your children to be careful to obey ALL THE WORDS OF THIS TORAH. For this is not a trivial matter for you; on the contrary it is YOUR LIFE!...”

Ezekiel 20:21

“But the children too rebelled against Me. They did not live by my laws or observe my rulings, to OBEY them, which, if a person DOES, he will have LIFE BY THEM…”

We accomplish this by belief in YESHUA and being led by the RUACH HA’KODESH who leads us into all truth

John 16:13

“But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come.”

James 2:19

“You believe that there is one ELOHIM; you do well; the demons also believe and tremble.”

Remember, the demons believe in YAHWEH just as you do, but at least they fear and tremble at His power. With the lawless doctrine being preached shows you don’t fear YAHWEH at all! And secondly, you are on par with the demons because you say you believe in YAHWEH and so do they; however, they are not going to obey His commandments, this is already evidenced by Satan being cast out for his rebellion against YAHWEH! So how do you separate yourselves from a demon?

Revelation 12:17

“And the dragon was enraged against the woman; and he went to make war upon the remnant of her seed who KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF ELOHIM AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF YESHUA.”

Revelation 14:12

“Here is the patience of the Holy believers/saints who KEEP THE COMMANDSMENTS OF ELOHIM, AND THE FAITH OF YESHUA.”

So, we see it’s belief in YESHUA and the keeping of the commandments that makes us saints of YAHWEH, not belief in alone. Sadly, with the gospel many of you preach shows the lack of fear for our Creator.

Testament of Levi 3:8-10

“And in the heaven next to this are thrones and dominions, in which always they offer praise to ELOHIM. Therefore when YAHWEH looks at us (angels), all of us are shaken; yes, the heavens, and the earth, and the abysses tremble at the presence of His majesty. But the sons of men, not perceiving these things, SIN (1 John 3:4 break Torah) and provoke the anger of the Most High.”

The angels, heaven, earth, and the abysses fear YAHWEH, but human beings who don’t see YAHWEH don’t have the same fear, so they break the Torah and provoke YAHWEH to anger. If they you understood or could see what they see in heaven then you wouldn’t be so bold as to carelessly live a lawless life, let alone preach it to the masses!

Walk on the narrow path

Mathew 22:14

“For many are those that are called and few are chosen.”

Many are called and only a few are chosen, so just because you are called to preach doesn’t mean that you will be chosen! How can this be? YAHWEH calls you to preach the truth to His flock which includes keeping the commandments of Torah, but it is up to you to choose to walk in righteousness, you have to choose to obey, and if you don’t the end result will be a calling and not being chosen. We see thousands of pastors and churches on every corner which clearly shows us many are called, but most CHOOSE to preach the truth that the Torah is not done away with. Do not skip over the words that YESHUA says:

Mathew 7:23 (Complete Jewish Bible)

“Then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! Get away from Me, you workers of LAWLESSNESS!” In other words you who broke the Torah!

James 3:1

“Let there not be many teachers among you, my brothers; knowing that as such we will receive a more severe judgment.”

As you can see this is not a joke, this not some hobby, we are called to preach the truth about obeying the Torah and to believe in YESHUA the Son of YAHWEH, but you have opted to teach falsehood.

Jeremiah 10:8

“But altogether the VAIN DOCTRINES (set of beliefs) of wood image worship shall be utterly destroyed and consumed.”

Habukkuk 2:18

“What profit is a graven image that its maker has fashioned? The molten image is a FALSE DOCTRINE, for the heart of its maker trusts in it, to fashion a dumb idol.”

Colossians 2:8

“Beware, or else any man make your naked by philosophy and by VAIN DECEPTION, according to the DOCTRINES OF MEN according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to the Messiah.”

Galatians 1:6-9 (Parenthesis mine)

“I am stunned into silence, as if dead (dead of speaking), that you have so quickly forgotten Messiah who has called you to his mercy and have gone to another besorah (Good News) that is non-existent, but there are men who agitated you and desired to pervert the Good News of Messiah. (As pastors are doing today). For if us, or even a messenger from heaven, preach outside from what has preached to you, let them be cursed. As I said before, so I say again: whichever man preaches to you outside of what you have received (Belief in YESHUA and keeping commandments), let him be accursed.”

2 Corinthians 11:4

“But I fear, or else, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cleverness, so your minds should be corrupted from the sincerity that is in the Messiah. For if he that comes to you, had proclaimed to you ANOTHER YESHUA, whom we have not proclaimed; or if you had received another Spirit, which you have not received; or another gospel, which you have not accepted; you might well have given your permission.”

Paul mentioned that Eve was deceived by Satan and how did this happen? Satan convinced Eve to break the ONE COMMANDMENT that YAHWEH gave and that was to not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, so Satan is doing the same thing with lawless Christian pastors today by deceiving them to break the commadments of YAHWEH just as he did Eve; therefore, causing them to rebel and preach a false YESHUA!

2 John 1:9-11

“Everyone who transgresses and does not abide in the teaching of the Messiah, ELOHIM IS NOT IN HIM. And he who abides in his doctrine (The Torah), he has the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not possess this doctrine, neither entertain him in your house nor say to him, joy to you: for he that says to him, joy to you, is a participator in his evil deeds.”

What you have done to the Christians in the churches is preach a lawless Messiah that is not found in scripture, your version of YESHUA does not exist. They are selling a lawless, Sunday worshipping, tolerant of sin, loves you no matter, co-exist with all religions and a million different ways to inherit eternal life false Messiah! All lies! The vain doctrines of wood and stone have been manifested into a false idol in Christianity promoting things that are against YAHWEH’s word. These false and vain doctrines you preach also tell Christians that it is okay to serve modern idols of Satan with Xmas, Easter, and all the pagan holidays that are not in in scripture, the idols of wood and stone still exist in your pagan celebrations today.

There is only ONE WAY to have eternal life and that is through His Son YESHUA and obeying the Torah! YESHUA did not bring a new teaching into the world as He clearly said that He spoke the words of His Father YAHWEH (John 12:49) and His Father YAHWEH told us repeatedly to keep the Torah just as His Son did.

Luke 11:27-28

“After He (YESHUA) had spoken these things, a certain woman raised up her voice from the crowd and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts that nursed You!” He said to her, “Blessed are they who hear the Word of ELOHIM and KEEP IT.”

YESHUA  is saying to hear the word of YAHWEH and they apply it to your life by doing it,  It doesn’t end at hearing it.

Mathew 12:48-50

“But He answered and said to him that had spoken to Him, “Who is My mother? And who are they who are my brothers? And He stretched forth His hand towards his disciples and said, “Behold My mother and My brothers, for ANYONE who DOES the WILL OF MY FATHER who is in heaven, is My brother, and My sister, and My mother.”

In order to be considered a part of YAHWEH’s family you must do His will; and what is His will? It is obedience to the Torah and belief in His Son YESHUA.

Out of love I say to you repent!

This walk is very serious and you will be held accountable for every soul that you lead astray, YESHUA made this abundantly clear in His rebuke to the Pharisees.

Mathew 23:15

“Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites! For you traverse sea and land that you might make one proselyte (convert), and when he has become one, you make him double the son of Gehenna (hell’s fire) that you are yourselves.”

Just like the Pharisees during YESHUA’s day, they walked around to convert people to Rabbinical Judaism the false teaching of the Talmud/tradition of the elders which they held above the written Torah, and in doing so it made their converts twice the son of hell as themselves; and the same applies to pagan Christianity, you are teaching contrary to the truth of the scriptures, you speak evil of the Torah, preach prosperity, and tell them to celebrate the darkness of pagan holidays and when you do this you make them twice the son of hell than yourselves IF you all don’t repent. Your congregation is depending on you for the truth and you are feeding them the opposite. They also have a responsibility to read the word for themselves, but it does not excuse the teaching of paganism.

Jeremiah 10:21

“For the shepherds (pastors) have misbehaved, and have not sought YAHWEH; and because they did not prosper, all of their flocks have been scattered.”

Pastors you are not seeking YAHWEH through His eternal Torah and therefore you are scattering the flock because they are lost in false religion, the shepherd is not leading them to the truth. This same thing was occurring in YESHUA’s day:

Mathew 9:36

“And when YESHUA saw the crowds, He had compassion on them that were weary and were scattered like sheep that have not a shepherd. And He said to His disciples “The harvest is great and the workers few. Ask, therefore, the Master of the harvest that He should send workers in His harvest.”

The priests were supposed to be teaching the flock the truth, the spiritual leaders, but just like Christianity they taught the sheep falsehood of Rabbinical Judaism, the same way Christianity is teaching paganism; therefore, they were scattered with no leadership teaching the truth. There are only a few workers in the harvest that are telling the truth which is why we must pray for more to rise up and do the work that YAHWEH wants us to do and it is my prayer that you repent and join in.

Isaiah 24:5

The earth is also defiled like its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torah, changed the ordinance, and nullified the everlasting covenant.”

The Pastors of Christianity have done everyone of these, how have you transgressed the Torah? By preaching satan’s lawless doctrine of the law is done away with and that it is for the Jews, you attempted to changed the statues and law saying the Shabbat is on Sunday and therefore through all of these you have broken the covenant which is a binding contract between YAHWEH and His people. Do you not see the problem with this?

YESHUA confirms all of this in His own Words:

Mathew 5:17-20 (Parenthesis mine)

“Do not think that I have come to loosen (do away with Torah or destroy) or the prophets, I have not come to loosen but to fulfill. For truly I say to you that until heaven and earth pass away not one yod or one stroke will pass from Torah until everything happens. All who loosen (annul), therefore, from one of these small commandments and teach thus to the sons of man, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven, but all who do and teach this will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. For I say to you that unless your righteousness exceeds more than that of the scribes and the Pharisees, YOU WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.”

Sadly you are telling people that destroy and fulfill mean the same thing when it does not. The way you are selling the lie is saying:

“Do not think that I have come to destroy the Torah, I have come to destroy it.”

That does not make sense. How can YESHUA being saying He did not come to destroy it, but yet He came to destroy it? That is pure contradiction and confusion.

YESHUA did not come to abolish/annul/loosen/destroy any of the Torah not even a “Yod” which is the smallest letter in Hebrew or Aramaic! YESHUA is making it clear that NONE of the Torah is done away with, not even the smallest letter of it. Heaven and earth do not pass away until the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven, so that means we are still on earth and the New Jerusalem has not come down from heaven so the Torah remains.

Revelation 21:1-2

“And I saw new heavens and a new earth: for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away: and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, descending from ELOHIM out of heaven, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.”

None of this has occurred yet. YESHUA saying He came to fulfill the Torah means to “FILL FULL”, He came to show us that it is holy and good and to walk in it as YAHWEH intended for the Torah to be kept from the beginning. YESHUA is the Living Torah and brought forth the true essence of the Torah and to correct the false teachings of the Pharisees that were leading people astray just as Christian pastors are doing.

“Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees!” YESHUA is saying that the Pharisees had a degree a righteousness! The Pharisees at least observed the Shabbat and the Holy Days found in Leviticus 23, their problem is that they added to the Torah and made it a burden to those who followed it. So, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees you will not enter in. So ask yourself, are you at least observing the Shabbat? Are you at least keeping the Holy Days? If not, your righteousness does not surpass that of the Pharisees which means you don’t have a chance according to the words of YESHUA, if you don’t repent and walk in the truth.

Ezekiel 22:26

“Her priests have violated my Torah and have profaned my holy things; they have put no difference between the holy and the profane, neither have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean, and have refused to keep my Shabbats, and I am profaned among them.”

Who does this sound like today? Yes, Christian pastors who do not distinguish between the holy and the profane, clean or the unclean. In Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14, YAHWEH tells us plainly that there are certain animals that can be eaten because they are clean and He also tells us which ones are unclean; however, you tell them that they can eat whatever they want as long as they pray over the food that He has already called an abomination and unfit for human consumption; and in doing so you are not distinguishing between the clean and the unclean! I have done multiple messages about this topic and I won’t go into detail here, but before the thought pops in your head to say what about the vision that Peter had in Acts 10? When you read the rest of the passage you will discover that YESHUA was making a point and not a menu, that gentiles were accepted to be grafted in with the Jews, which is why Peter said “I know not to call any MAN common or unclean.” And the other common scripture taken out of context is when YESHUA says it’s not what goes to into a mouth of a man that makes a man that defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth of a man is what defiles Him such as adultery, murder, etc. The conclusion of the whole matter that YESHUA was referring to was eating bread with unwashed hands does NOT defile a man. Not  that it was acceptable to eat unclean pork and shrimp.

Mathew 15:20

“These are what defile a man. But if while a man eats, his hands are NOT WASHED, HE IS NOT DEFILED.”

You tell the church to celebrate Satan’s days of Xmas, Halloween, Birthdays, Thanksgiving, New Years, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day and tell them to reject YAHWEH’s holy days of Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot/Pentecost, Yom Teruah/Trumpets, Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement, Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles, and the 8th Day Closing Assembly; and in doing so you have put no difference between the holy and the profane! And what have you done? You have profaned YAHWEH in your midst! Repent!

Jeremiah 9:13-14

“And YAHWEH says, because they have forsaken my Torah which I gave to them and to their ancestors, and have not obeyed My voice, neither walked according to my warnings; but have followed after the imagination of their own heart and after the idols which their ancestors taught them.”

2 Kings 17:32-33

“So they worshipped YAHWEH, and made for themselves of their own people priests of the high places, who served for them in the houses of idols on the high places. They worshipped YAHWEH and served their own mighty ones after the manner of the nations. So the children of Yisra’el were carried away out of their land.”

This is exactly what we see today in Christianity, they claim to serve YAHWEH, yet they have set up their pagan altars of Xmas trees, Easter bunnies, Halloween, etc and think they are preaching the truth and then passing it on to generation after generation. Yisra’el went into Assryian exile for this abomination and those who continue to preach this and those who continue to listen to it will be carried off into an exile of eternal punishment on judgment day. Repent!

1 Corinthians 10:20-21

“But that what the gentiles (pagans) sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to ELOHIM. And I would not that you should be associates of demons. You cannot drink the cup of our Master YESHUA and the cup of demons; and you cannot be partakers at the table of our Master, and at the table of demons.”

Paul, whom is famously quoted by Christian pastors is against being associates with demons are joining into follow that dark path of paganism.

Jeremiah 10:1-2

“Hear the word which YAHWEH speaks to you, O house of Yisra’el: Thus says YAHWEH, learn not the WAY of the gentiles and be not afraid of the signs of heaven; for the gentiles are dismayed at them.”

What is the way of the gentiles? Their false religion! So the exact opposite of their way has to be the truth with is Torah!

Jeremiah 6:16

Thus says YAHWEH, stand in the WAYS and see, and ask for the OLD PATHS and see where is the good WAY, and walk in it and find rest for your souls. But you said, we will not walk therein.”

Psalms 119:1

“Blessed are the perfect in the WAY, who walk in the Torah of YAHWEH!.”

It’s clear that the way Christians are teaching is false, but the WAY OF THE TORAH is the truth and the ancient path we all should be seeking!  Repent! Everyday that you wake up, you have a chance to repent and get it right with our Father in heaven, so it is not too late. Gather your congregation together and tell them the truth of the scriptures and walk in them. Yes, many of your members will leave but who cares, this is about your eternal life and theirs, and at least they will know the truth going forward.

I pray that some eyes are opened and that you give your life completely to YESHUA today and I sincerely mean that. All praises be to our Father YAHWEH and His Son YESHUA!

A day is EVENING to EVENING: Part 2

Last year I did a message about this topic because I was approached daily by many saying that a day is from morning to morning and that evening to evening was from Judaism. I proved in that message from many witnesses that a day is from evening to evening; however, the situation is on the rise again and I feel led to speak on it and prayerfully clear up some misconceptions. As I always say we have to read the scriptures with a Hebraic mindset, if the scriptures are being read through a Western mindset then conclusions will be drawn that do not line up with scriptures, so we will look at what the Aramaic language, the language that YESHUA spoke has to say. We will examine the word evening in the Otiot and review the common scripture brought up that YESHUA says there are only 12 hours in a day.

Before examining the Aramaic text, I want to show that even the Septuagint which is the Hebrew translated into Greek in 260 BC even agrees that a day is evening to evening, lets examine:

Judges 14:10-18 (Septugaint)

“And his dad went down to the woman and Samson made a banquet for seven days there, for so the young men are used to do. And it came to pass when they saw him, that they took thirty guests and they were with him. And Samson said to them, I propound (put forth) a riddle to you: If you will indeed tell me it and discover it within seven days of the feast, I will give you thirty coats and thirty changes of garments. And if you cannot tell me it, you shall give me thirty coats and thirty changing robes; and they said to him, propound your riddle and we will hear it.” Verse 17-18 And she wept before him the seven days during which their banquet lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her because she troubled him; and she told it to the children of her people. And the men of the city said to him on the seventh day, BEFORE SUNRISE, what is sweeter than honey?...”

As we can see, Samson gave the men 7 days to figure out his riddle and they came to him on the 7th day BEFORE sunrise and told him the riddle, which means that the 7th  already started on the evening of the 6th day which is technically the 7th day when a new day begins at sunset. The sun was not up yet as we see it says “BEFORE SUNRISE” which clearly shows us that a day cannot be morning to morning. This even matches the same sequence of the day we see in the Aramaic.

And we see that the morning (dawning) is THE DAYLIGHT PORTION of the 7th Day as the evening which is the START of the 7th day portion of the day had passed. When the sunset it would be the start of another day.

Joshua 6:15 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“And on the seventh day, they rose In the morning, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times; it was on that day only that they compassed the city seven times.”

So we see the Greek and Aramaic both agree that it was already the seventh day BEFORE morning time, which is clearly before sunrise. The word used for morning here is #H5927 “Alah” (aw-law) means  dawn, increase, light, begin and the blue letter bible renders Alah as “about the dawning”.

Dictionaries define dawning as the gradual beginning to become light, which tells us the sun is not even up yet which further confirms a day cannot be morning to morning. Even in the Greek #1306 diaugazo (dee-ow-gadzo describes the breaking of daylight upon the darkness of night and the oxford dictionary says dawn is the first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise.

 Now we will view the Aramaic and see what is revealed in the ancient language:

Ramsha in Syriac Aramaic script from Wikipedia, findwordsinfo, and many other sources say that “Ramsha” is Aramaic or East Syriac term for evening liturgy (public worship) being followed as a part of the liturgy of the hours in the Syriac churches. In the East Syriac tradition, a liturgical day BEGINS WITH RAMSHA (evening) AT 6:00 PM which draws direct reference from Genesis 1:5.”

Our ancestors clearly understood when a scriptural day begins and it is at evening and the Aramaic translations of the scriptures all agree.  

Mathew 28:1 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Now in the CLOSING EVENING OF THE SHABBAT, as the first of the week was dawning, came Maryam of Magdala and the other Maryam that they might see the grave.”

Andrew Gabriel Roth writes: The Aramaic literally reads “b’RAMSHA din b’shabata” or in the evening of the Shabbat.”

We see the same word “ramsha” written in this scripture to confirm the Shabbat ended at evening. Let’s review two other translations to confirm this.

Mathew 28:1 (John Etheridge 1846, Aramaic New Testament)

“From the EVENING (END) OF THE SHABBAT, when the first day in the week was lightening…”

Mathew 28:1 (George Lamsa Aramaic New Testament)

“In the EVENING OF THE SHABBAT, when the first day of the week began to dawn…”

All three translations agree that the end of the Shabbat was at evening and that a new day had begun. Then we read that it was dawning towards the first day meaning that the 12 hours of the evening portion of the day were completed; now it was moving towards the 12 hour daylight portion of the day.

Erev in Otiot

Erev in Hebrew is spelled Ayin, resh, Beyt

Ayin is a picture of an eye which means to  watch, know, shade

Resh is a picture of a mans head which means first, top, beginning

Beyt is a picture of a tent which means family, house, In

Combining the three words together we get: The shade (darkness) was the first part of day in creation! Which matches:

Genesis 1:8

“And ELOHIM called the firmament sky. And there was EVENING and there was MORNING, the second day.”

The dual meanings of erev and ramsha

Erev #6153 represents the time of day IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING (Coming before) AND following the setting of the sun. So we see that erev is not exclusive to meaning sunset, but also includes the time before sunset like late afternoon or twilight/in between the evenings which is the period before sunset.

Erev is from the root word Alah (Aw-law) #6148 which means to braid, intermix, mingle which ties into erev as explained above is when the light begins to mix with the darkness in late afternoon or twilight. Examples of the dual meaning:

Joshua 10:26-27

“And after that Joshua slew them, and hanged them on five trees; and they remained hung on the tree until evening (erev). And at the time OF THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN (Bo ha’shemesh), Joshua commanded and they took them down from the trees, and cast them into the cave where they had hidden themselves, and laid large stones at the mouth of the cave, which remains to this very day.”

So here we see that Joshua had the kings hung at erev (evening) which here we clearly see is before the sunset because literally after that is ANOTHER word used to describe the going down of the sun (Bo ha’shamesh), if the words meant the same thing there would be no need to get the extra detail. So late afternoon when the light and darkness begin to mix is the intention here, then in the next verse Joshua commanded to have the bodies taken down BEFORE the sunset while the sun was going down, because YAHWEH says in the Torah to make sure that anyone hung on a tree is buried the same day, which proves that when the SUNSETS it is what the start of a new day; and Joshua did not violate the command and made sure they were taken down the same day before sundown.

Deuteronomy 21:22-23

“And if any man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is crucified on a tree, and thus put to death; his body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but you shall bury him THE SAME DAY (for he who shall revile ELOHIM shall be crucified), and you shall not defile your land, which YAHWEH your ELOHIM gives you for an inheritance.”

So the same concept with erev in Hebrew carries over into the Aramaic with the word ramsha, examples:

“And when the AFTERNOON (ramsha) was setting on the annual Shabbat…”

The afternoon setting is a clear depiction of the day declining towards sunset, but not yet sunset.

“And when it became the evening (ramsha) which is before the annual Shabbat.”

“And when it was evening of the preparation which is BEFORE THE SHABBAT.”

“And when it was FRIDAY evening (ramsha), which is BEFORE THE SHABBAT.”

Roth notes: “Mark has an unusual term here, ramsha d’erubata where ramsha can mean “evening”, as it does in Mark 4:35 and 13:35, however, the other meaning, which is intended here, is suggested in Mark 1:32 which literally reads, “in the evening of the setting sun.” It is this latter reading that proves ramsha does not always mean “evening” as we think of the term. The DUAL meanings are carried over from Hebrew where “ereb” can be either late afternoon OR sunset. In this odd instance, ramsha d’erubata literally means “afternoon of setting”, meaning the night period was COMING ON BUT STILL BEFORE SUNSET.”

So erev in Hebrew and Ramsha in Aramaic have dual meanings which refers to evening or a reference to the late afternoon when the sun is on the decline or in the process of going down. So we can see the intention in the Aramaic is to show that it was the ramsha/evening meaning the late afternoon; otherwise, there is no need to add the extra phrase “BEFORE THE SHABBAT” in all of the scripture Aramaic translations of Mark 15:42, which again shows the dual meaning of the word ramsha and erev. This is the beauty and complexity of the Hebrew and Aramaic that won’t come through in the English. Without this understanding people will lean to their own understanding and come up with new doctrine.

 Luke 23:54 (George Lamsa Aramaic New Testament)

“This was a Friday, and the Shabbat was approaching.”

Luke 23:54 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And the day was setting and the SHABBAT was approaching.”

The “setting” is another example of the Aramaic word ramsha meaning late afternoon the period before sunset, as we see the Shabbat was approaching at sunset. Lamsa’s rendering of this verse is plain for all to see that Friday is “Preparation Day” and when the sun sets it is the beginning of the Shabbat from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.

More evidence

Deuteronomy 24:14-15

“You shall not cheat the wages of a hired laborer who is poor and needy, whether he is of your brethren or of the strangers who are in your cities; but you shall pay him his wages on the SAME DAY, neither shall the SUN GO DOWN UPON IT; for he is poor, and it is because of his wages that he places himself at your disposal; lest he cry against you to YAHWEH, and it be sin against you.”

Pay him his wages before the sun goes down because it will be the start of the next day.

Acts 4:3

“And they laid hands upon them and they watched over them TILL THE NEXT DAY, because EVENING IT WAS DRAWNING NEAR.”

Evening was approaching which means that current day was ending at sunset and they would proceed with their questioning of Peter the next day.

Exodus/Feast of Unleavened bread example

Let’s look at how a day is divided to further prove that evening is the start of the next day!

Leviticus 23:5-6

“On the FOURTEENTH DAY of the first month at evening (erev/twilight) is YAHWEH’s Passover.” And on the FIFTEENTH DAY of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened bread to YAHWEH; for seven days you must eat unleavened bread.”

So we see clearly that Passover is on the 14th at twilight before the sunsets, because once the sunsets it begins the start of the 15th day which is the Feast of Unleavened Bread, just as we see in Jubilees.

Jubilees 49:1 (Hebrew fragments found in Dead Sea Scrolls)

“Remember the command which YAHWEH commanded you concerning the Passover, that you should celebrate it at its appointed time, on the fourteenth day of the first month; that you should slaughter it BEFORE IT IS EVENING (Twilight/in between the evenings), so that they may eat it by NIGHT ON THE EVENING OF THE FIFTEENTH FROM THE TIME OF THE SETTING OF THE SUN.”

This is why YAHWEH says eat unleavened bread on the evening of the 14th while eating Passover because it is the start of the 15th day,  which is the beginning of the Feast of unleavened bread when we cannot eat any leaven. YAHWEH is very precise with His instructions.

Exodus 12:6 (Aramaic)

“And you shall keep it until the FOURTEENTH DAY of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Yisra’el shall kill it at sunset.”

Now we have to remember the Hebrew word erev can mean before sunset at twilight just as it is intended here.

Exodus 12:6 (Septuagint)

“And it shall be kept by you until the fourteenth of this month and all the multitude of the congregation of the children of Yisra’el shall kill it TOWARD EVENING.”

Toward evening carries the same meaning as we see in the Aramaic which is twilight/in between the evenings, which makes a clear distinction that once the sunsets is the start of a new day. Since a day is EVENING to EVENING, YAHWEH is making it clear to slaughter the lamb IN BETWEEN THE EVENINGS AT TWILIGHT while its still the 14th day of the month, because at sunset will be the 15th.

Exodus 12:18

“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at EVENING you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at EVENING.”

The Feast of Unleavened bread BEGINS AT EVENING ON THE FIFTEENTH AND ENDS ON EVENING OF THE 21st Day. We see in next scripture from Leviticus shows that at evening is that start of the 15th as well.

Leviticus 23:6

“And on the FIFTEENTH DAY OF THE SAME MONTH is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to YAHWEH; for seven days you must eat unleavened bread.”

Exodus 12:17

“And you shall observe the feast of unleavened Bread; for ON THIS VERY DAY (15th) have I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt; therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.

Exodus 16:1

“And they journeyed from Elim, and the whole congregation of the children of Yisra’el came to the wilderness of Seen, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the FIFTEENTH DAY OF THE SECOND MONTH AFTER THEIR DEPARTURE FROM THE LAND OF EGYPT.”

More proof to show they left Egypt on the 15th day of the 1st month at night which is unleavened bread and not the 14th day of Passover, because they ended up in the wilderness of Seen exactly ONE MONTH LATER on the 15th day of the 2nd month, which shows us the shifting of a day at sunset. Further proof that it would be impossible for YAHWEH to strike the first-born of Egypt on the 14th day, it had to be the 15th day as we will examine in the next section.

Night is included in the day

Exodus 12:51

“And it came to pass on that VERY DAY that YAHWEH brought the children of Yisra’el out of the land of Egypt with all their hosts.”

Deuteronomy 16:1

“Observe the month of Abib and keep the Passover to YAHWEH your ELOHIM; because in the month of Abib YAHWEH your ELOHIM brought you out of Egypt by NIGHT.”

Exodus 12:42

“It was a NIGHT to be observed to YAHWEH for bringing them out of the hand of Egypt; therefore, this very NIGHT is to observed to YAHWEH by all the children of Yisra’el throughout their generations.”

In Exodus YAHWEH says that He brought us out of Egypt that day and yet Deuteronomy says at night. In other words YAHWEH is referring to “night” the 12 hour dark portion of the day, and of course we have the 12 hour day light portion. Let’s go through the timeline to clear this up, we see YAHWEH struck down the firstborn of Egypt at midnight on the 15th day as we have established.

Exodus 12:29-31

“And it came to pass that at MIDNIGHT YAHWEH slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sits on his throne to the first-born of the captive who was in the prison; and all the first-born of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the NIGHT, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians; and there was a great wailing in the land of Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron that NIGHT, and said to them, rise up and get out from among my people, both you and the children of Yisra’el; and go, serve YAHWEH, as you have said.”

Exodus 14:19-24

“And the Angel of YAHWEH, who went before the camp of Yisra’el, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud moved from before them and stood behind them: and it came between the army of the Egyptians and the camp of Yisra’el; and it was cloudy and DARK ALL THE NIGHT, but it gave light all the NIGHT to the children of Yisra’el, so that they could not draw near one to another all the NIGHT. And Moses lifted up his hand over the sea; and YAHWEH caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the NIGHT and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Yisra’el went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground; and the water were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued and went into the sea after them, all of Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And it came to pass that IN THE MORNING WATCH (3am-6am) YAHWEH appeared to the Egyptian army in a pillar of fire and of cloud, and threw the Egyptian army into confusion…”

This is how YAHWEH can say He brought us out that DAY although it occurred at night (because a day to YAHWEH includes the night portion as well) and because we see the complete exodus occurring from the EVENING of the 15th  the start of the  Feast of Unleavened Bread AND went into the MORNING portion of the 15th when Pharaoh and the army were drowned. So we see evening and morning at work here just like the creation account:

Genesis 1:8

“And ELOHIM called the firmament sky. And there was EVENING and there was MORNING, the second day.”

YESHUA says there is only 12 hours in a day

John 11:9-11

“YESHUA said to them, “Are there not twelve hours in the day, and if a man walks during the daylight, he will not stumble because he see the light of this world. But if a man should walk during the night, he will stumble because there is NO FLAME IN HIM.”

So most read this scripture and believe that there are literally on 12 hours in a day when that is not the case at all.

Peshat means the literal meaning of scripture

Remez is a hint to a deeper spiritual meaning

So in the “peshat” sense of the scripture, the literal meaning of what YESHUA is saying is that there is 12 hours of “daylight” and he has the “light of this world” which is the sun to shine light for him. And we have already seen that there are 12 hours of “darkness” the evening time from the Exodus out of Egypt.

The “remez” the hint to a deeper spiritual meaning reveals a major truth. YESHUA says if a man walks during the daylight, he will not stumble because he sees the LIGHT OF THIS WORLD. Who is the Light of the world? YESHUA says in

John 8:1

“Now YESHUA spoke with them again and said, “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness but he will find the light of life for himself.”

So the shift is from a literal sun shining light to the spiritual sense of YESHUA shining the light through the truth of Torah. Then YESHUA says in verse 10 “But if a man should walk during the night, he will stumble because there is no flame (light) in him.” Notice how YESHUA says there is no light in the man?

So what is the Light?

Proverbs 6:23

“The command is a lamp, and the Torah a LIGHT.”

So the Light represents YESHUA (The Light of the World) who is the Living Torah, so when you are walking in the truth of the Torah you will not stumble.

Psalms 119:105

“Your word is a LAMP to my feet and a LIGHT to my path.”

As we see here the Torah is a light for our feet and with that light we not stumble on the path nor will we walk in darkness as YESHUA said in John 8:1.

But if you do not walk in the Torah, but choose to walk in the traditions of men like the Pharisees did then there is no light (Torah) in them, which matches:

Isaiah 8:20

“To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they no LIGHT.”

If you do not walk in Torah there is not light in you and that person will stumble and fall in the darkness of their lawlessness. And Roth notes “this Nahira (Flame) is used here as an idiomatic expression to mean ‘He is not ENLIGHTENED”. Maran YESHUA uses this term in a wordplay with Nhura (Light verse 9).”

So as we see YESHUA was maker a deeper point than what is on the surface and even with that said, the literal daylight is nothing more than the 12 hour daytime period we have discussed throughout this message. I pray that this message has given more clarity to this topic, and as always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!

There is no SAVIOR besides Me: Response!

This is another important message for those who have and continually reject YESHUA as The Son of YAHWEH and our Savior. Savior in Hebrew is “Yasha” which means save, savior, deliver, help, and salvation and this message will prove that is what YESHUA came to do. We will discuss the Aramaic and compare to the Masoretic text and even look at the Otiot the ancient Hebrew Pictograph language to tell us the truth about YAHWEH and His Son and Savior YESHUA that He sent to earth!

I have done many messages defending the truth about YESHUA coming to earth to die for our sins. YAHWEH sent YESHUA because He loves us and does not want us to perish; however the world has to accept His blood atonement on the execution stake for the forgiveness of sins and acknowledge that He rose on the third day. The main scripture that I see being used to support that YESHUA is not our Savior is found in Isaiah 43:11, which says

Isaiah 43:11

“I, I am YAHWEH, and besides Me there is no Savior.”

 I have been saying for a while that we have to get back to the ancient text of scripture to see the original meaning that our Father YAHWEH was conveying to His people. This same verse in the Aramaic Peshitta reads differently than the Masoretic text written by the Pharisees who tried to hide the prophecies of YESHUA because they did not believe in Him. We all know that the Pharisees rejected YESHUA when He walked the earth and by their efforts they are getting many to follow in their footsteps that will not bode well for many if they do not repent and accept the truth!

Isaiah 43:11 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“I, EVEN I, am YAHWEH; and besides Me, there is no savior.”

Notice how the “Even I” is missing from the Masoretic text but included in the Aramaic Peshitta and even the KJV? That is because this is YAHWEH and YESHUA speaking together as ONE (ECHAD), I will present other scriptures to support this.

Isaiah 35:4 (Masoretic)

“Say to those with anxious heart, be strong, do not fear! See, your ELOHIM comes with vengeance, with the recompense of ELOHIM. He is coming to save you.”

Isaiah 35:4 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“Say to those who are of a fearful heart, be strong, fear not; behold, your ELOHIM the avenger is coming, EVEN ELOHIM THE SAVIOR is coming to save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.”

Notice how the Masoretic text OMITS the part that says “Even ELOHIM the Savior?”. So here we see that YAHWEH calls YESHUA “ELOHIM”AND SAVIOR because He has the same divine nature as His Father, and verse 5 tells us that this ELOHIM AND SAVIOR will open the eyes of the blind and the deaf shall hear and where do we see this written concerning the Savior?

Mathew 11:4-5 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“YESHUA answered and said to them, “Go relate to John that you have heard and have seen. The BLIND ARE SEEING, AND THE LAME ARE WALKING, AND THE LEPERS ARE CLEANSED, AND THE DEAF ARE HEARING…”

What a beautiful fulfillment of prophecy and YAHWEH does not lie!

Isaiah 48:16

“Come near Me, listen to this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from THE CREATION, THERE AM I; and now YAHWEH ELOHIM, AND HIS SPIRIT, has sent Me.”

As we see from this scripture YESHUA is speaking and He says that He was here from the very beginning just as John 1 says “In the beginning was THE WORD, which is YESHUA”. YESHUA then goes on to say that YAHWEH and THE SPIRIT has sent Him, so this scripture puts to rest the doubts about the divinity of YESHUA, His origin, or Him not being Savior for us sent by YAHWEH the Father. I see complete UNITY and ONENESS of 3 operating as ONE COMPLEX AND UNIQUE ELOHIM, HalleluYAH!

Another example of the unique, complex nature of the Father and Son’s ONENESS:

Zechariah 12:10

“And I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of favor and of mercies; and they shall look upon Me (YAHWEH) whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him (YESHUA) as they mourn for any only son, and shall grieve for Him as they grieve over the first-born.”

The beautiful ONENESS OF ELOHIM: YAHWEH says that He is pierced, yet He doesn’t die because He is spirit, but His Son YESHUA who is a part of YAHWEH dies! I cannot express with words how beautiful this is and how awesome He works. How can anyone have the Father without the Son as John mentions? How can anyone deny YESHUA when He is in the Father? And the Father in Him?

John 14:9-12

“YESHUA said to him, I am with you all this time and you do not know Me, Phillip? Whoever sees Me sees the Father, and how do you say, “Show us the Father? Don’t you believe that I am in My Father and My Father is in Me? These words that I speak, I do not speak of Myself but He who dwells in Me, My Father does these works. Believe that I am in My Father and My Father is in Me, otherwise believe even because of the works.”

The best way I can explain our awesome ELOHIM’s unique complex nature, is we as humans are made up of three components soul, spirit, and body:

1 Thessalonians 5:23

“And may the ELOHIM of peace sanctify you all, perfectly, and keep blameless your whole SPIRIT AND YOUR SOUL AND YOUR BODY till the comings of our Master YESHUA the Messiah.”

So the soul and spirit are both invisible, but the body is visible. The same with our ELOHIM, YAHWEH and The RUACH HA’KODESH (Holy Spirit) are invisible, but YESHUA is Visible. An example of the “oneness” I’m conveying is even in the Dead Sea Scrolls

Genesis Apocryphon Column 20:8

“When the king heard the words of Hirqanos and the words of his two companions—for the THREE OF THEM SPOKE AS ONE MAN…”

Even the enemy who always trying to duplicate what YAHWEH does even has the dragon, beast, and false prophet, I wonder where he got this concept from?

Otiot ancient language proof of YESHUA as Savior

 The very first word of the scriptures “Bereshyt” means “in the beginning” shows our Father YAHWEH declared the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). Using the Otiot the ancient pictograph Hebrew language tells us the truth about YESHUA and what He came to do as sent by His Father YAHWEH:

Bereshyt is spelled (Beyt, Resh, Aleph, Sheen, Yad, Taw)

Beyt is a picture of a tent which means a house, family, Son

Resh is a picture of a man’s head which means highest, chief, first, top, beginning

Aleph is a picture of an ox head which represents YAHWEH, strength, power, leader, Father, Headship

Shin is a picture of two front teeth which means to destroy, devour, sharp, press, eat

Yad is a picture of an arm and hand which means hand, work, throw, actions, deeds

Taw is a picture of stick crossed sticks, what many call a cross which means mark, sign, signal, monument, covenant

So combining these words for Bereshyt from the first word in is scripture gives us this beautiful message: The Son’s House, of the Most High YAHWEH, shall be destroyed by His own hand on a stake/cross.

So, the OTIOT matches perfectly with Isaiah 53:10, and we know all of Isaiah 53 is a prophecy of YESHUA dying for the sins of the world though there was no sin in Him.

“Yet it pleased YAHWEH to afflict/crush Him; He has put Him to grief; He laid down His life as an OFFERING FOR SIN, that posterity may see, and His days shall be prolonged, and that pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in His hand.”

The Otiot also tells about the prophecy of YESHUA dying in YAHWEH’s own Name as well:

YAHWEH’s Name is spelled Yad, Hey, Waw, Hey

Yad is a picture of an arm and hand which means hand, work, action

Hey is a picture of a spiritual man which means behold, look, reveal

Waw is a picture of a tent peg means hook, nail, secure, tent peg

Hey is a picture of a spiritual man which means behold, look, reveal

When we combine the words together we get “Hand behold nail behold.” The truth is right in our faces when we look at the ancient language, which is again pointing to YESHUA as Savior and we see this prophecy fulfilled:

John 20:24-28

“Now Thomas, one of the twelve, he was called the Twin, was not there with them when YESHUA came and the disciples said to him, “We have seen our Master! But he said to them, “Unless I see the places of THE NAILS IN HIS HANDS and place my fingers in them, and I stretch forth my hand in His side, I will not believe. And after eight days the disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them and YESHUA came while the doors were locked and stood in the midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” And He said to Thomas, “Place your fingers here and SEE MY HANDS and place your hand and stretch it in my side and do not be an unbeliever, but a believer.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My MASTER AND MY ELOHIM!”

More Savior proof from Aramaic

Isaiah 44:6 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“Thus says YAHWEH the King of Yisra’el, and HIS SAVIOR, YAHWEH of Hosts: I am the first and I am the last; and besides Me there is no ELOHIM.”

This is a powerful and clear passage which shows YAHWEH speaking and referring to ANOTHER THAT IS SAVIOR, yet they are both ONE ELOHIM as He says, “besides Me there is no ELOHIM”, which includes His Son. YESHUA literally means “YAHWEH is Salvation” because YAHWEH sent His Son YESHUA to die for us as our Savior. We cannot read Isaiah 43:11 and stop there, even though as I’ve shown the Aramaic includes “I, even I” proving YESHUA was with the Father, but going to the next chapter in Aramaic shows you that YAHWEH is pointing to a Savior by saying “His Savior” Whom is YESHUA the one that many are rejecting.

So, knowing the truth the Pharisees wanted to hide this truth because they rejected YESHUA when He walked the earth. Let’s view a passage from the Masoretic text of the Pharisees and compare it with the Aramaic and be amazed.

Isaiah 49:7 (Masoretic)

“Thus said YAHWEH, the Redeemer of Yisra’el, their Holy One, to the despised, to the loathed One of the nation, to the Servant of rulers, “Sovereigns shall see and arise, rulers also shall bow themselves, because of YAHWEH who is steadfast, the Holy One of Yisra’el. And He has chosen You!”

This scripture is confusing the way that it was written to hide the truth of what the text really says.

“And if the world hates you, know that it hated Me before you.”

Isaiah 49:7 continued “And by the servants of the rulers: Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall WORSHIP Him…

Enoch 48:2-5

“And at that hour the Son of Man (YESHUA) was named in the presence of the Master Spirits, and His Name before the Head of Days. Yes, before the sun and the signs were created, before the stars of the heaven were made, His Name was named before the Master of Spirits He will be a staff to the righteous on which to steady themselves and not fall, and He will be a light to the Nations, and the hope of those who are troubled of heart. All who dwell on earth shall fall down and WORSHIP BEFORE HIM, and will praise and bless and celebrate the Master of Spirits (YAHWEH) with song.”

Philippians 2:8-11 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even the death of the stake. Wherefore, also, ELOHIM has highly exalted Him and given Him a Name which is more excellent than all Names; that at the Name of YESHUA every knee should bow, of beings in the heavens and on earth and under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Master YAHWEH is YESHUA HA’MASHIACH to the esteem of ELOHIM His Father (YAHWEH AND YESHUA ARE ONE).”

Isaiah 49:7 continued “Because YAHWEH who is faithful, and the Holy One of Yisra’el who has chosen YOU.”

YAHWEH is faithful to deliver on His promises to send a Savior for His people Yisra’el and He did so by choosing His Son YESHUA! Isaiah 49:7 in the Aramaic reads completely different than the Masoretic version and I wonder why? This evidence is clear cut and I pray that many repent and accept YESHUA as Savior who died for their sins and realize that YAHWEH the Father and YESHUA His Son are ONE ELOHIM!

New Testament

YAHWEH mentioned several times in Isaiah about He and His Savior which is YESHUA, and we see the fulfillment of this in the New Testament or better the New Covenant.

Luke 1:31-33 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“For behold you will receive conception and bear a son and you will call His Name YESHUA. This One will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest, and Master YAHWEH your ELOHIM will give to Him the throne of David his father. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and there will not be an end to His Kingdom forever.”

Isaiah 9:6-7 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder: and His Name is called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty One, the EVERLASTING EL (God), the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of His peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and upon His kingdom, to establish it and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even forever. The zeal of YAHWEH of Hosts will perform this.”

YAHWEH said He would do it and His word does not return to Him void and we also see that the Son is also called ELOHIM from the Isaiah 9 prophecy.

Luke 2:11 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“For born to you all today is the SAVIOR that is Master YAHWEH the Messiah (YAHWEH AND YESHUA ARE ONE) in the city of David.”

Here in the New Testament, we see the divinity of YESHUA should no longer be questioned as YAHWEH and YESHUA are One; and is the Savior being mentioned as we read in Isaiah 44:6 and 49:7

“Thus, for ELOHIM loved the world so as He would give His ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish, but would have life that is eternal. For ELOHIM did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to give life to the world through Him. He that believes in Him is not condemned; but he that does not believe, is already condemned; because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of ELOHIM”

1 John 4:14-15

“And we have seen and do testify that the Father has sent His Son, a Redeemer for the world. Whoever confesses YESHUA to be the Son of ELOHIM, ELOHIM abides in him and he abides to ELOHIIM.”

1 John 2:21-25 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you know it and because no falsehood is of the truth. Who is false but he that denies THAT YESHUA IS MESSIAH? And that person is a false messiah. He that denies the Father denies also the Son. And he that denies the Son also does not believe the Father. He that confesses the Son confesses also the Father. And what you heard from the first, let that remain with you. For that which you heard from the first remains with you, you also will remain in the Father and in the Son. And this is the promise which He has promised us: even life eternal.”

John 17:3 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Now this is life that is eternal, that they might know You, that You are the ELOHIM of Truth, and He alone whom You have sent, the Messiah YESHUA.”

In order to obtain eternal life, you must believe in the Father and the Son; and that YAHWEH sent His Son YESHUA to die for us all, He is our Savior and that the Father and the Son are ONE ELOHIM!

YESHUA is the BREAD OF LIFE born in Bethlehem which means “The House of BREAD”. Eat this spiritual bread and live forever, or eat the physical bread and eventually die, the choice is yours.

John 6:27-51 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Do not labor for food that perishes, rather for food that endures to life that is everlasting, that which the Son of Man will give to you, for this man ELOHIM The Father has sealed.” They said to Him, “What should we do to work the deeds of ELOHIM? YESHUA answered and said to them, “This is the work of ELOHIM that you should believe in Him whom He sent.” They said to Him, “What miracle do you perform that we may see and believe in You? What have you shown? Our ancestors ate manna in the wilderness as it is written that He gave them bread from heaven to eat.” YESHUA said to them, “Ahmein, Ahmein I say to you that it was not Moses that gave bread to you from heaven, but My Father gives true bread to you from heaven. For His bread is that of ELOHIM, He who has come has come down from heaven and gives life to the world.” They said to Him, “Our Master give this bread to us at all times!” YESHUA said to them, “I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE, Whoever comes to Me will not hunger and whoever believes in Me will not ever thirst. But I have said to you that you have seen Me, and you do not believe. All who My Father has given to Me will come, and whoever comes not to Me I will cast outside! For I came down from heaven, not to do My will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. And this is His will ,that of Him who sent Me, that all that He has given to Me I do not lose even one. For this is the will of My Father, that all who see the Son and believe in Him, will have life that is eternal. And I will raise him up on the last day.” Verse 44-51 “Ahmein, Ahmein I say to you that whoever believes in Me has life that is eternal. I am the Bread of Life. Your forefathers ate manna in the wilderness and they died. But this is the Bread that has descended from Heaven that a man may eat from it and He will not die! I am the Living Bread, Who has descended from Heaven. And if a man should eat from this Bread, He will live forever. And the Bread that I give is My body which I give for the sake of the life of the WORLD.”

Eating earthly bread which is physical food is not going to give you eternal life, but partaking in the Bread of Life which is YESHUA The Living Torah Who YAHWEH sent for our sins will give you life eternal, HalleluYAH!

Selfless acts of LOVE!

Before getting into examples from scripture of what selfless love looks like and how we are to walk in it, I would like to say that all throughout the scriptures we are commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves and be selfless and not to hate, so we will start with that reminder.

Philippians 2:3 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And do nothing in strife or in vain esteem; but, with humbleness of mind, let each regard his neighbor as better than himself.”

Mathew 22:37-39 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And YESHUA said to him, that you “You should love Master YAHWEH your ELOHIM with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might and with all your mind.” This is the first and the greatest Commandment. And the second is like it. That ‘you should love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang Torah and prophets.”

Leviticus 19:18 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“You shall not bear any enmity against the children of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am YAHWEH.”

Testament of Benjamin 3:3-5 (12 Patriarchs)

“Fear YAHWEH, and love your neighbor; and even though the spirits of Beliyya’al (sons of worthlessness) claim to afflict you with every evil, they will not have dominion over you, even as they did not have it over Joseph my brother. How many men desired to kill him, and ELOHIM shielded him! For he that fears ELOHIM and loves his neighbor cannot be struck by the spirit of Beliyya’al, being shielded by the fear of ELOHIM. Nor can he be ruled over by the device of men or beasts, for he is helped by YAHWEH through the love which he has towards his neighbor.”

Testament of Rueben 6:9

“I call to witness the ELOHIM of the heavens, that you do truth, each one, to his neighbor; and to entertain love, each for his brother.”

So, we are commanded to love and not to hate and we know YESHUA said to bless those who curse you and pray for those who persecute you and to love your enemies, so the point is to love and love some more. There are warnings for those who hate their brothers.

Testament of Benjamin 7:3-5 (12 Patriarchs)

“Therefore Cain was also delivered over to seven vengeances by ELOHIM, for in every hundred years YAHWEH brought one plague upon him. And when he was two hundred years old he began to suffer, and in the nine-hundredth year he was destroyed. For on account of Abel his brother, he was judged with all the evils; but Lamech with seventy times seven. Because those who are like Cain, who are envious and hate their brother forever, they will be punished with the same judgement.”

1 John 3:13-15 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“Not like Cain who was of the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he slay him, but because his own works were evil and those of his brother righteous? Verse 15 “For everyone that hates his brother is a man-slayer; and you know that no man-slayer can have eternal life abiding in him.”

Testament of Gad 4:1-7

“Therefore my children, beware of hatred; for it works lawlessness even against YAHWEH Himself. For it will not hear the words of His commands concerning the loving of one’s neighbor, and it sins against ELOHIM.” Verse 7 “For the spirit of hatred works together with Satan, through hastiness, in all things to men’s death…”

Testament of Gad 5:1-3

“Therefore, hatred is evil, for it constantly mates with lying, speaking against the truth; and it makes small things to be great, and causes the light to be darkness, and calls the sweet bitter, and teaches slander, and kindles wrath, and stirs up war, and violence and all covetousness; it fills the heart with evils and devilish poison. Therefore, I say these things to you from experience, my children, that you may drive hatred away, which is of the devil, and cling to the love of ELOHIM.”

The perfect example of selfless love is YESHUA

Mathew 20:27-28

“And he who among you desires to be first, let him be a servant to you. Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give Himself as a ransom for the sake of many.”

YESHUA came to serve and not be served, and a servant is not greater than His Master, so He gave us the blueprint. We are to consider others better than ourselves, just as Paul quoted in Philippians 2:3.

The greatest selfless act of love is found in YESHUA the Son of YAHWEH, Who gave His life for all of us and was without sin. Dying when you committed no wrong simply because you love the world is unfathomable love, yet an example left for us to learn from. It’s amazing life to know that our King died for us!

1 Peter 2:21-23

“For to this were you called; because the Messiah also died for us and left us this pattern that you should walk in His steps. He did no sin; neither was any deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile, and He suffered but didn’t threaten, but committed His cause to the Righteous Judge.”

YESHUA was innocent and sinless, yet He loved despite what others did to Him and He suffered greatly for the world. We are called to walk in love just like Him and to have a selfless attitude towards others.

Luke 23:34 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And YESHUA was saying, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.”

John 15:12-13 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“This is My Commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you. There is no love that is greater than this that a many lay down his life for the sake of his friends.”

Isaiah 53:1-12 (Aramaic Peshitta)

“Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of YAHWEH revealed? For He grew up before him like an infant and like a root out of the dry ground; He had no form nor comeliness; and when we saw that He had no beauty, we denied Him. He is despised. He is despised and humbled of men; a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and we turned our faces away from Him; we despised Him and we esteemed Him not. Surely He has borne our sorrows and carried our griefs; but we considered Him stricken, smitten of ELOHIM, and afflicted. But He was slain for our sins, He was afflicted for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have strayed; we have turned everyone to his own way; and YAHWEH has laid on Him the sins of us all. He drew near and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as an ewe before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who can describe His anguish? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; and some of the evil men of my people struck him. Yet it pleased YAHWEH to afflict Him; He has put Him to grief; He LAID DOWN HIS LIFE AS AN OFFERING FOR SIN, that posterity may see, and His days prolonged, and the pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the reward of the travail of His soul, and be satisfied with the knowledge; HE SHALL JUSTIFY THE RIGHTEOUS; FOR HE IS A SERVANT OF MANY, AND HE SHALL BEAR THEIR SINS. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He has poured out His life to death; and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bore the sins of many, and died the death of transgressors.”

2 Corinthians 5:15 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And He died for all, that they who live should not live to themselves but to Him who dies for them and rose again.”

Romans 5:6-12 (Aramaic English New Testament)

“And if at this time, on account of our weakness, Messiah died for the sinners: For almost NEVER WOULD SOMEONE DIE FOR A WICKED MAN, BUT FOR AN UPRIGHT MAN SOME MIGHT DIE. ELOHIM has here manifested His love towards us. Because, if when we were sinners, Messiah died for us, how much more will we know be made righteous by His blood and be rescued from wrath by Him? For if, when we were enemies, ELOHIM was reconciled with us by the death of His Son, how much more will we, in His reconciliation, live by His life? And not only so, but we also rejoice in ELOHIM by means of our Master YESHUA the Messiah through whom we have now received the reconciliation. As by means of one man, sin entered into the world; and, by means of sin, death; and so death passed up all sons of men inasmuch as they have all sinned.”

Test of Benjamin 3:8 (Benjamin recounting Jacob speaking to Joseph)

“In you the prophecy of heaven will be fulfilled, that a blameless one will be delivered up for lawless men, and a sinless one will die for unrighteous men.”

Examples of selflessness and love

Ezra

We see an example of how Ezra hated no one, but rather was always crying out for mercy on behalf on his people to YAHWEH, because Ezra was selfless and cared about them. Let’s examine a part in 2 Esdras how he asks if those who were righteous would pray and intercede for others on the day of judgement after YAHWEH explained to Ezra what would happen to the souls of men after they died.

2 Esdras 7:102-111

“I answered and said, “If I have found favor in Your sight, show further to me, Your servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, fathers for sons or sons for fathers, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for friends.” He answered me and said, “Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, not to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, so no one shall ever pray for another then, neither shall anyone lay a burden on another; for then everyone shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness.” I answered and said, “how then do we find that first Abraham prayed for the people of Sodom, and Moses for our ancestors who sinned in the desert, and Joshua after him for Yisra’el in the days of Achan, and Samuel in the days of Saul, and David for the plague of the people, and Solomon for those in the sanctuary, and Elijah for those who received the rain, and  for the one who was dead, that he might live, and Hezekiah for the people in the days of Sennacherib, and many others prayed for many? If therefore the righteous have prayed for the unrighteous now, when corruption has increased and unrighteousness has multiplied, why will it not be so then as well?”

2 Baruch 85:1-2

“Furthermore, know, then, that in former times and to generations of old our ancestors had righteous helpers and prophets and holy men. But we were in our land, and they helped us when we sinned, and they interceded on our behalf with Him who made us, because they trusted in their works. And the Mighty One heard them and forgave us.”

Ezra mentioned many of our ancestors who interceded for others in his prayer, mainly the righteous for the unrighteous or their selfless acts regarding others and I will cover some of those examples in another section. But as for Ezra’s prayer, YAHWEH then goes on to explain to Ezra how the judgement will be perfect and how the strong prayed for the weak, however the context is that we can see Ezra’s heart for the people even those who have sinned. Also, before Ezra was told that he would be taken up, he was concerned about those who were left behind that they would not have the Torah to follow and would therefore be lost.

2 Esdras 14:13-22

“Now, therefore, set your house in order, and reprove your people; comfort the lowly among them, and instruct those that are wise. And now renounce the life that is corruptible, and put away from you mortal thoughts; cast away from you the burdens of man, and divest yourself now of your weak nature, and lay to one side the thoughts that are most grievous to you, and hasten to escape from these times. For evils worse than those which you have now seen happen shall be done hereafter. For the weaker the world becomes through old age, the more shall evils be multiplied among its inhabitants. For truth shall go farther away, and falsehood shall come near. For the eagle which you saw in the vision is already hastening.” Then I answered and said, “Let me speak in Your presence, YAHWEH. For behold, I will go, as You have commanded me, and I will reprove the people who are now living; but who will warn those who will be born hereafter? For the world lies in darkness (breaking Torah), and its inhabitants are without light (Proverbs 6:23 “The command is a lamp and the Torah a light”). For Your Torah has been burned, and so no one knows the things which have been done or will be done by You. If, then, I have found favor before You, send the Holy Spirit into me, and I will write everything that has happened in the world from the beginning, the things which were written in Your Torah, that men may be able to find the path, and that those who wish to live in the last days may live.”

How many people would be concerned about those who are left behind if they were told that they were righteous enough to be taken without dying? Most of us would be too excited to leave this earth and leave the burdens of this world, but Ezra was concerned about the world that they knew the truth of the Torah, this is a selfless act of love.

Abraham

Genesis 13:8-10 (After the shepherds of Abraham and Lot argued)

“And Abram said to Lot, let there be no strife between me and you, and between my shepherds and your shepherds; for we are brethren. Behold the whole land is before you choose the left hand, then I will choose the right hand; or if you depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. And Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the land of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before YAHWEH destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of ELOHIM like the land of Egypt at the entrance of Zoan. Then Lot chose for himself all the land of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east; thus they separated one brother from the other.”

Even though YAHWEH made His promises to Abraham, Abraham was still selfless to let Lot choose the best of the land to dwell in because he did not want to cause strife between brothers, it was a selfless act of love.

Genesis 18:20-33

“And YAHWEH said, because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah has come before me and their sins are very grievous, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to their cry which has come before me; and if not, I will know. So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom; but Abraham stood yet before YAHWEH. And Abraham drew near and said, wilt You in Your anger destroy the righteous with the sinners? Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city; will You in Your anger destroy it, and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous that are in it? Far be it from Thee to do such a thing as this, to slay the innocent with the guilty, far be it from Thee, O You Judge of the whole earth! Such a judgment should never be carried out. And YAHWEH said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the whole country for their sake. And Abraham answered and said, Behold, I have ventured to speak before YAHWEH, and yet I am but dust and ashes; suppose there shall lack five of the fifty righteous; will You destroy the whole city for the lack of the five men? And He said, If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it. And Abraham spoke to him and said, suppose there shall be forty found there? And He said, I will not destroy it, if I find there forty. Then Abraham said, oh let not YAHWEH be displeased and I will speak: Suppose there shall thirty be found there? And He said, I will not destroy it, if I find thirty there. And he said, Behold, I have ventured to speak before YAHWEH; suppose there shall be twenty found there? And He said, I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty. And he said, oh, let not YAHWEH be displeased, and I will speak only once more; suppose ten shall be found there? And He said, I will not destroy it for the sake of ten. And YAHWEH went His way when He had finished communing with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.”

Abraham again shows compassion and love towards Lot because he was dwelling in Sodom after separating from Abraham; and he even petitions to YAHWEH to not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if there were 10 righteous in the land.

Moses

Exodus 32:7-14, 30-35 Aramaic Peshitta (When the children of Yisra’el began to worship the golden calf)

“And YAHWEH said to Moses, go down, get away from here; for your people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they have turned aside quickly from the way which I commanded them; they have made for themselves a molten calf, and have worshipped it and have sacrificed to it, and said, this is your elohim, O Yisra’el, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt. And YAHWEH said to Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold it is a stiff-necked people; now therefore let Me alone, that My wrath may be kindled against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation. But Moses prayed before YAHWEH his ELOHIM and said, not so, O YAHWEH, let not Your wrath kindle against Your people whom You has brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand. Why should the Egyptians say, it was for their injury He did bring them out to slay them in the mountains and to consume them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth? Rest from Your fierce anger and be reconciled concerning the evil deed of Your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Yisra’el, Your servants, to whom You did swear by Your own self and didst say to them, I will multiply your descendants as the stars in the heaven, and all the land that I have spoken of I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever. And YAHWEH was reconciled concerning the evil which He had purposed to do to His people.” Verse 30-35 “And it came to pass on the next day, Moses said to the people, you have sinned this great sin; and now I will go up to YAHWEH; perhaps He may forgive your transgressions. So Moses returned to YAHWEH and said, I beseech You, O YAHWEH ELOHIM, truly this people have sinned a great sin and have made for themselves elohim of gold. But now, if You wilt, forgive their sins; and if not, blot me, I pray You, out of Your book which You hast written. And YAHWEH said to Moses, whosoever has sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book. Therefore now go, lead the people to the place where I tell you; behold, my angel shall go before you; nevertheless in the day when I punish I will visit their sins upon them. And YAHWEH smote the people because they worshipped the calf which Aaron made.”

Moses not only prayed for YAHWEH not to destroy the Yisra’elites but also put his own salvation on the line by saying for YAHWEH to blot him out of the book of life for their sake. This is sacrificial, selfless act of love for the sake of others because YAHWEH said He would make Moses into a great nation, but Moses cared about YAHWEH’s Name and seeing His plan for Yisra’el be accomplished.

David

1 Chronicles 21:7-17 (After David conducted the census)

“And YAHWEH was displeased with this thing, because David had numbered Yisra’el. And David said to YAHWEH, I have sinned greatly in that I have done this thing; but now, take away the iniquity of Your servant; for I have done very foolishly. And David arose early in the morning, and the word of YAHWEH came to Gad, the prophet, saying, thus says YAHWEH: I offer you three disasters; choose one of them, that I may do it to you. So Gad the prophet came to David and said to him, thus says YAHWEH: choose for yourself. Either three years of famine in the land or three months to be defeated before your enemies while they shall pursue you and rule over you or three days the sword of YAHWEH in Yisra’el. Now therefore advise what answer you will give to Him who sent me to you. And David said to Gad, I am in a great distress; let ME BE DELIVERED INTO THE HANDS OF YAHWEH; for his mercies are very great; but let me not be delivered into the hand of men. So YAHWEH sent pestilence upon Yisra’el; and there fell of Yisra’el seventy thousand men. And YAHWEH sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; and as he was destroying it, YAHWEH saw and considered it and averted the disaster, and said to the angel that destroyed, you have destroyed a great many, stay now your hand. And the angel of YAHWEH stood by the threshing floor of Aran the Jebusite. And David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of YAHWEH standing between heaven and earth, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Yisra’el, who were with him clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces. And David said to YAHWEH, is it not I who commanded the people to be numbered? Even I it is who have sinned, and the folly which I have committed is great; but as for these INNOCENT SHEEP, what have they done? Let Your hand, O YAHWEH my ELOHIM, be AGAINST ME, and against my father’s house; but the plague cease from the people.”

David asked that the plague be turned against him because it was he that ordered the census and petitioned to spare the innocent sheep. David could have set back and breathed a sigh of relief and said “at least the plague did not fall upon me” however, he was willing to take the punishment and not his brothers, which is another example of an selfless act of love.

Joseph

Genesis 45:4-5

“And Joseph said to his brothers, come near to me; and they came near. And he said to them, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to the Egyptians. Now do not be grieved, nor displeased with yourselves, that you sold me here; for it was to provide for you that ELOHIM sent me before you.”

Testament of Benjamin 3:6

“For Joseph also begged our dad that he would pray for his brothers, that YAHWEH would not impute sin to them, for whatever evil they had done to him.”

Testament of Simeon 4:4-6

“Now Joseph was a good man, and had the Spirit of ELOHIM within him; being compassionate and pitiful, he bore no malice against me; but loved me even as the rest of his brothers. Beware, therefore, my children, of all jealousy and envy, and walk in singleness of being and with good heart, keeping in mind Joseph your father’s brother, that ELOHIM may give you also favor and esteem, and blessing upon your heads, even as you saw in Joseph’s case. All his days he did not despise us concerning this thing, but loved us as his OWN BEING, and esteemed us beyond his OWN SONS, and gave us riches, and cattle and fruits.”

Testament of Zebulon 8:1-6

“Therefore, my children, you yourselves should have compassion towards every man with kindness, that YAHWEH also may have compassion and kindness upon you. Because in the last days ELOHIM will send His compassion on the earth, and wherever He finds bowels of kindness He dwells in him. For in the degree in which a man has compassion upon his neighbors, in the same degree has YAHWEH also in him. And when we went down to Egypt, Joseph bore no malice against us. To the ones on guard, you also, my children, approve yourselves without malice, and love one another; do not set down in account, each one of you, evil against his brother. For this breaks unity and divides all families, and troubles the being, and wears away the face.”

Testament of Joseph 17:1-8

“Therefore my children, you see what great things I endured that I would not put my brothers to shame. Therefore you also should love one another, and hide one another’s faults with patience. For ELOHIM delights in the unity of brothers, and in the purpose of a heart that takes pleasure in love. And when my brothers came into Egypt they learned that I had returned their money to them, and I did not rebuke them, and comforted them. And after the death of Jacob my dad I loved them more abundantly, and all things he commanded I did abundantly for them. And I did not show them to be afflicted in even the smallest matter; and all that was in my hand I gave to them. And their children were my children, and my children as their servants; and their life was my life, all their suffering was my suffering, and all their sickness was my infirmity. My land was their land, and their counsel my counsel. And I did not exalt myself among them in arrogance because of my worldly esteem, but I was as one of the least among them.”

Mathew 20:27-28

“And he who among you desires to be first, let him be a servant to you. Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give Himself as a ransom for the sake of many.”

1 Peter 4:8

“And above all things, have fervent love one towards another, for love covers a multitude of sins.”

Looking at the righteous acts of YESHUA and our ancestors shows us exactly what selfless acts of love looks like, so remember in all things that you do that you consider others better than yourself and love them unconditionally.

Did angels really mate with women?

There are two views when it comes to this topic of the “sons of ELOHIM” written in Genesis 6. One group believes that the sons of ELOHIM are the fallen malachim pronounced ma-la-keem (angels) and the other group says that the former view is impossible and that the sons of ELOHIM are the descendants of Seth (Sethites). We will examine this debated topic and let the word of YAHWEH speak as always and will prove that the sons of ELOHIM are angels and did mate with human women.

Firstly, we know that out the mouth of two or three witnesses that every word shall be established:

2 Corinthians 13:1

“This is the third time that I have prepared to come to you; that, by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established.”

John 8:12-14

“Now YESHUA spoke with them again and said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness but he will find the light of life for himself.” The Pharisees said to him, “You do testify concerning yourself; your testimony is not true!” Even if I do testify concerning Myself, my testimony is true because I know from where I have come and to where I go. But you do know from where I have come, nor to where I go. You judge carnally; I do not judge anyone. Yet if I do judge now, my judgment is true because it is not I alone, rather I and My Father who sent Me. And in your own Torah now it is written that the witness of two men is true. It is I that testify concerning Myself, yet My Father who sent Me testifies concerning Me.”

There are plenty of witnesses that will be presented from the 66-book canon, Enoch, Jubilees, 12 Patriarchs, and Genesis Apocryphon to confirm the topic at hand, and I will explain where these books were found and why we should be reading them to get a better understanding of the scriptures and not guessing or drawing our own conclusions.

Genesis 6:1-4

“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, that the sons of ELOHIM saw that the daughters of men were fair; so they took them wives of all whom they chose. Then YAHWEH said, My spirit shall not dwell in man forever, because he is flesh; let his days be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants on the earth in those days; and also after that, for the sons of ELOHIM came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, and they became GIANTS who in the olden days were mighty men of renown.”

Years ago, before I found these ancient witnesses supporting the view of fallen angels going into the daughters of men, a few things jumped out to me that made me know it was true. Notice the wording of the verse as it reads “the sons of ELOHIM came in unto the daughters of men” there is a separation showing the sons of ELOHIM are not human because the passage makes it clear these spiritual beings joined with human daughters of men. The daughters of men is the key to show that one was of human origin and the other was not; furthermore, since when did two humans ever produce a giant? That is another clue to show the corruption of the DNA with a spiritual being mating with a human woman and I, personally believe this was Satan’s attempt to corrupt the human DNA because he knew that YESHUA would be born as ELOHIM and Man, so he tried to form his own race of a hybrid species to prevent his destruction from happening and we all know that he failed. The book of Job gives us more context about the sons of ELOHIM.

Job 1:6

“Now there was a day when the sons of ELOHIM came to present themselves before YAHWEH, and Satan also among them.”

Job 2:1

“Again there was a day when the sons of ELOHIM came to present themselves before YAHWEH, and Satan came also among them to present himself before YAHWEH.”

This passage clearly shows this is a spiritual meeting that no human being could have access to. Satan and the sons of ELOHIM (angels) PRESENTED themselves before YAHWEH, which means they came before His throne which is in heaven. This again, rules out the human sons of Seth. I personally believe these witnesses would be enough to make a case, but I know it is not sufficient enough for most, so we will go deeper by looking at the Book of Enoch and the other Dead Sea Scrolls.

There are many who reject the Book of Enoch as being inspired, but I have a question to ask. Did you know that the Book of Jubilees and Enoch were discovered amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls in Cave #2 right along with the first five books of the Bible (The Torah), Jeremiah, and Psalms? If you accept the Old Testament to be true and inspired, which included the Torah, Psalms, and Jeremiah, then how do you reject the other books found right alongside it? It’s not our job to reject books because it goes against your thoughts or traditions you hold fast to; however, it is our job is to find the truth by all means and test it.

Yes, Enoch has an actual book:

Jubilees 4:16-17

“And in the eleventh jubilee Jared took to himself a wife, and her name was Baraka, the daughter of Rasui’el, a daughter of his dad’s brother, in the fourth week of this jubilee, and she bore him a son in the fifth week, in the fourth year of the jubilee, and he called his name Enoch. This one was the first among men that are born on earth who learned WRITING and knowledge and wisdom, and who wrote down the signs of heaven according to the order of their months in A BOOK…”

And we see that Abraham and Levi both mentioned this book of Enoch:

Genesis Apocryphon column 19:25 (When Pharaoh was going to take Sarah as wife)

“Me many gifts and asked of me knowledge, wisdom, and truth. So, I read before them the book of the words of ENOCH.”

Jubilees 21:10

“And eat its meat on that day and on the second day, and do not let the sun go down on the second day until it is eaten, and let nothing be left over for the third day; for it is not approved, and it will not be accepted; and let it no longer be eaten, and all who eat of it will bring sin upon themselves. For thus I (Abraham) have found it WRITTEN in the BOOKS of my forefathers, and in the words of ENOCH, and in the words of Noah.”

Testament of Levi 10:5 (12 Patriarchs)

“For the house which YAHWEH chooses will be called Jerusalem, as is contained in the Book of ENOCH the righteous.”

YESHUA quoted from it:

Mathew 22:30

“For in the resurrection of the dead, men do not marry women, nor are women given to husbands. Rather, they are as the messengers of ELOHIM in heaven.”

Enoch 15:5-8

“Therefore have I given them (human men) wives also that they might impregnate them, and bring forth children by them, that thus none might be lacking to them on the earth. But you (angels) were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have NOT appointed wives for you; for as the spiritual ones of the heavens, in the heavens is THEIR DWELLING.”

YESHUA says that angels don’t have wives and the book of Enoch tells us that YAHWEH did not appoint wives for them as he did for earthly men.

More witnesses

So now armed with this truth let us examine these other witnesses contained within these removed books and the Dead Sea Scrolls concerning the angels mating with the daughters of men.

2 Baruch 56:11-14

“Also, for at that time when he was created, they had freedom. And some of them (angels) descended and INTERMINGLED WITH THE WOMEN. Then those who did so were tormented in chains. But the rest of the multitude of the angels, of whom there is no number, restrained themselves.”

Jubilees 4:22

“And he (Enoch) witnessed to the Watchers, who had SINNED WITH THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN. For these had begun to UNITE THEMSELVES, so as to be defiled, with the daughters of men, and Enoch witnessed to them all.”

So again, the Watchers/fallen angels/sons of ELOHIM/sons of heaven are the spiritual beings that laid with the daughters of men, so we have more context again for Genesis 6 showing that it was not the sons of Seth.

Testament of Rueben 5:5-8 (12 Patriarchs)

“Therefore my children, flee from whoring, and command your wives and your daughters that they adorn NOT their heads and faces to deceive the mind of men, because every woman who plots such has been reserved for eternal punishment.

Rueben says that women should not adorn their heads (to enhance beauty with ornaments with something unessential) and faces (reference to make up/cosmetics) to deceives the minds of men and also they did this and made the angels lust after them, this is another witness to what Peter and Paul said.

1 Peter 3:3

“Your ADORNMENT should not be outward-arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on dresses but the hidden man of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and peaceable spirit, which is of great value before ELOHIM.”

1 Timothy 2:9

“Likewise, that the women dress themselves becomingly, with decency and sensibleness, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly garments…”

1 Corinthians 11:10

“For this cause ought the woman to have on her head the mark of authority (head covering), BECAUSE OF THE MESSENGERS.”

And for women not to adorn their faces is a reference to what the fallen angels taught mankind:

Enoch 8:1

“And Asa’el taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and showed their successors the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ORNAMENTS, AND THE USE OF COSMETICS, AND THE BEAUTIFYING OF THE EYELIDS, and all the costly stones, and all coloring tinctures and alchemy.”

Testament of Rueben continued: For in this way they enticed the Watchers (Messengers/angels) who were before the flood. For as these continually looked upon them, they lusted after them, and they conceived the act in their mind; for THEY CHANGED THEMSELVES INTO THE SHAPE OF MEN, and appeared to them when they were with their husbands. And the women, lusting in their minds after their forms, gave birth to giants, for the Watchers appeared to them as reaching even to the heavens.” The angels being able to change forms in consistent with the Book of Enoch which states:

Enoch 19:1

“And Uriel said to me, “Here shall stand the messengers (angels) who have connected themselves with women- and their spirits ASSUMING MANY DIFFERENT FORMS are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to demons as mighty ones…”

The fact of the angels being able to change their forms into humans in not a foreign idea in scripture as we see the two angels that went to Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19 appeared to Lot as humans. But Enoch gives us other witnesses concerning them changing their form and mating with women:

Enoch 86:1-6

“And again I saw with my eyes as I slept, and I saw the heaven above, and behold a star fell from heaven” (reference to Satan falling)

Luke 10:18

“And He (YESHUA) said to them, “I did see Satan falling like lightning from heaven.”

Enoch 86 continued “And it arose and ate and pastured among the oxen. And after that I saw the large and the black oxen, and behold they all changed their stalls and pastured and their cattle, and began to live with each other. And again I saw in the vision, and looked towards the heaven, and behold I saw MANY STARS descend and cast themselves down from the heaven to the first star…”

The many stars is a reference to the falling angels leaving their first domain as Jude and Peter wrote about it and this also matches Enoch 6:5 which says:

Enoch 6:5

“Then they all (the angels) swore together and bound themselves by a curse upon it (Mount Hermon). And they were, in all, TWO HUNDRED WHO DESCENED IN THE DAYS OF JARED ON MOUNT HERMON…”

Enoch 86 continued “And they BECAME BULLS (HUMANS) among those cattle and pastured with them among them.”

So, the fallen stars (angels) became bulls (humans), which means that the angels changed their form as we read from the Testament or Rueben 5:6-8

For as these continually looked upon them, they lusted after them, and they conceived the act in their mind; for THEY CHANGED THEMSELVES INTO THE SHAPE OF MEN, and appeared to them when they were with their husbands. And the women, lusting in their minds after their forms, gave birth to giants, for the Watchers appeared to them as reaching even to the heavens.”

Enoch 86 continued “And I looked at them and saw, and behold they all let out THEIR PRIVY MEMBERS (sharing something secret or private), like horses and began to mount upon the cows of the oxen, and they all became pregnant and bore elephants (The Giants), camels, and donkeys. And all the oxen feared them and were afraid of them, and began to bite with their teeth and to devour, and to gore with their horns. And they began, moreover, to devour those oxen; and behold all the children of the earth began to tremble and quake before them and to flee from them.”

The giants began to turn on the humans just as it is written in:

Enoch 15:11

And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble. They take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.”

Enoch 6:1-3 matches Genesis 6

“And it came to be, when the children of men had multiplied, that in those days were born unto them good looking and lovely daughters. And the messengers (angels), the children of the heavens, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: “Come let us choose wives from among the children of men and bring forth children. And Shemyatsa, who was their leader, said to them, “I fear you will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of A GREAT SIN.”

Enoch gives us some more details here, because instead of calling them the sons of ELOHIM, he calls them the children of the heavens, which immediately shows us that they were not humans and could not be the sons of Seth.

Enoch 13:8 (The fallen angels asked Enoch to petition for them for their sins)

“And see, a dream came to me, and visions fell down upon me, and I saw visions of rebuke, and a voice came bidding, to tell it to the SONS OF THE HEAVENS, and reprimand them.”

So, we see the fallen angels (sons of ELOHIM/Watchers/fallen angels) left there dwelling in heaven and took wives then mated with human women and defiled themselves. The leader of those fallen angels says plainly that he knew it was a GREAT SIN and Jude and Peter agree with this. Jude and Peter knew what SIN they committed, because there is no mention of the angels sinning in the Bible OUTSIDE of Genesis 6, so Enoch 6 and Genesis 6 agree what that sin was!

Jude 1:6

“And the messengers (angels) who did not keep their own principality (domain), but LEFT THEIR OWN DWELLING (heaven), He has kept in everlasting shackles under the darkness for the judgment of the great day.”

Jude says that the messengers (angels) left their own dwelling/abode/home and are kept in chains in darkness. What did the angels do when they left the heavens? And how did Jude know that what they did was a sin?

Enoch 12:4-5

“Enoch, you scribe of righteousness go, declare, to the watchers (angels) of the heavens, WHO HAVE LEFT THE HIGH HEAVENS, THE ETERNAL PLACE, and have defiled themselves with women, and have done as the children of earth do, and have taken unto themselves wives, ‘You have wrought great destruction on the earth. And you shall have no peace nor forgiveness of sin…”

Notice again that Jude 1:6 says that they are held in chains in darkness until the great Day of Judgement? Where did he get this from?

Enoch 10:4-6

“And again YAHWEH said to Repha’el, “Bind Azaz’el hand and foot, and cast him into the DARKNESS: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Duda’el (Egypt), and cast him in there. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with DARKNESS, and let him abide there forever, and cover his face that he may NOT SEE LIGHT. AND ON THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT he shall be cast into the fire.”

2 Peter 2:4

“For if YAHWEH did not spare the angels who SINNED, but sent them to Gey-Hinnom, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment.”

2 Baruch 56:11-14

“Also, for at that time when he was created, they had freedom. And some of them (angels) descended and INTERMINGLED WITH THE WOMEN. Then those who did so were tormented in chains. But the rest of the multitude of the angels, of whom there is no number, restrained themselves.”

Peter says that the angels sinned, and we see that Genesis 6, Jubilees 4, Enoch, 2 Baruch and Jude agree that they defiled themselves with human women which ties into what Jubilees 4:22 that Enoch witnessed to the Watchers, who had SINNED with the daughters of men. We know that the angels are not recorded to having sinned other than what Genesis 6 says. But Enoch chapter 6 and the other witnesses presented tells us exactly what the sin was.

Enoch 15:1-11

“And He answered and said to me, and I heard His voice, “Fear not, Enoch, you righteous man and scribe of righteousness, approach there and hear My voice. “And go, say to the watchers (sons of ELOHIM, angels) of the heavens who have sent you to intercede for them, ‘You should intercede for men, and not men for you. Why have you left the high, holy, and eternal heavens (Jude 1:6 and 2 Baruch 56:12 “Left their own dwelling”), and LAIN WITH WOMEN, and defiled yourselves with the DAUGHTERS OF MEN and taken to yourselves WIVES, and done like the children of earth, and BEGOTTEN GIANTS (Genesis 6:1-4) as sons? And though you were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have brought forth with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood, as those also do who die and perish. Therefore have I given them wives also that they might impregnate them, and bring forth children by them, that thus none might be lacking to them on the earth. But you were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have NOT appointed wives for you; for as the spiritual ones of the heavens, in the heavens is THEIR DWELLING. And now, the giants who are produced FROM THE SPIRITS upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on the earth, and evil spirits they shall be called. As for the spirits of the heavens, in the heavens shall be THEIR DWELLING, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling. And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble. They take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.”

Genesis Apocryphon was found in Cave #1 in 1947 right along with the scroll of Isaiah, the same Isaiah that we read in the Old Testament. Genesis Apocryphon is a very fragmented document because it was badly damaged; however, it contains the same truth as outlined with the many witnesses above. Wherever you see (missing section) means that part of the scroll was missing or unreadable.

Genesis Apocryphon Column 2 matches Enoch 106 (birth of Noah)

“So then I thought to myself (Lamech) that the conception (Noah) was from Watchers or that the seed was from Holy Ones, or belonged to Nephilim; and my mind wavered because of this child.”

So, we see that Lamech clearly knew it was possible for the angels to mate with human women because he thought that Noah was brought forth by one of the angels, so he did not think that Noah was his child, and this evidenced by the conversation with his wife.

Genesis Apocryphon 2 continued “Then I, Lamech, became frightened, and I went to Bitenosh, my wife and said to her,..(missing section) “by the Most High, by the Majestic YAHWEH, by the King of all Ages, with one of the sons of heaven, that you truthfully make everything known to me, wither..(missing section) “You must tell me truthfully and without lies whether this…(missing section) “Swear by the Most High, the Majestic YAHWEH, by the King of all Ages that you are speaking to me truthfully and without lies.” Then Bitenosh, my wife, spoke to me with great vehemence (passion), she cried and said, “O my brother and my master, recall my pleasure (missing section) “in the heat of time, and my breath in the midst of its sheath. For I shall tell you everything truthfully (missing section) the birth.” And then my mind was changed within me (missing section). When Bitenosh, my wife, noticed that my expression had changed (missing section) then she suppressed her emotion, speaking to me and saying to me, “O my master and my brother, recall (missing section) my pleasure. I swear to you by the Great Holy One, by the King of Heaven that this seed is from you; from you is this conception, and from you the planting of this fruit (missing section) and not from any stranger, OR FROM ANY OF THE WATCHERS, OR FROM ANY OF THE SONS OF HEAVEN…”

Enoch 106:1-6

“And after some time I, Enoch, took a wife for my son Methuselah, and she brought forth a son and called his name Lamech, saying, righteousness has indeed been brought low today.’ And when he grew my son Methuselah took a wife for his son Lamech, and she became pregnant by him and bore a boy. And when he was born, his body was as white as snow, and as red as a rose, and the hair of his head and his long locks were white as wool, and his demdema (long and curly hair that has been combed up straight) was beautiful. And when he opened his eyes, he lit up the whole house like the sun, and the whole house was very bright. And he arose in the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and spoke to the Master with righteousness. And his dad Lamech was afraid of him and fled, and came to his dad Methuselah. And he said to him, “A strange son has been born to me, different than—and unlike—man, and resembling the SONS OF MESSENGERS OF HEAVEN; and his nature is different and he is not like us, and his eyes are as the rays of the sun, and his face is esteemed. And it seems to me that HE IS NOT SPRUNG FROM ME BUT FROM THE MESSENGERS.”

Genesis Apocryphon 5:12

“He (Noah) lifted his face to me (Lamech), and his eyes shone like the sun.” This matches the above scripture from Enoch 106.

Again, Lamech understood that the fallen angels could mate with human women, which is why he believed that they angels brought Noah forth and not him. Enoch goes on to tell Methuselah to let Lamech know that Noah is his real son and not the angels.

Genesis Apocryphon column 5:3-4

“Look, when I Enoch (missing section) and NOT FROM THE SONS OF HEAVEN, but rather from Lamech, your son…”

Enoch 106:18

“And now make known to your son Lamech that he who has been born is in truth his son, and call his name Noah; for he shall be left to you, and he and his sons shall be saved from the destruction, which shall come upon the earth on account of all the sin and all the unrighteousness, which shall be consummated on the earth in his days.”

Genesis Apocryphon 6:11, 19-20

“(Missing section) the heavens. In a vision I saw and was shown and informed about the CONDUCT OF THE SONS OF HEAVEN and what all (missing section) verses 19-20 “the blood which the Nephilim shed. I was calm and I waited until (missing section) HOLY ONES WHO WERE WITH THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN.”

So why is it that our ancestors believed this truth, but followers of YESHUA today reject this truth? Many witnesses have been presented in the message and hopefully some eyes will be opened to understand that the spiritual realm is more real than we are, that the sons of ELOHIM are angels and not the sons of Seth, and also to encourage you to look beyond the 66-Book canon because it is not all of YAHWEH’s word.

There are two views when it comes to this topic of the “sons of ELOHIM” written in Genesis 6. One group believes that the sons of ELOHIM are the fallen malachim (angels) and the other group says that the former view is impossible and that the sons of ELOHIM are the descendants of Seth (Sethites). We will examine this debated topic and let the word of YAHWEH speak as always and will prove that the sons of ELOHIM are angels and did mate with human women.

Firstly, we know that out the mouth of two or three witnesses that every word shall be established:

2 Corinthians 13:1

“This is the third time that I have prepared to come to you; that, by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established.”

John 8:12-14

“Now YESHUA spoke with them again and said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness but he will find the light of life for himself.” The Pharisees said to him, “You do testify concerning yourself; your testimony is not true!” Even if I do testify concerning Myself, my testimony is true because I know from where I have come and to where I go. But you do know from where I have come, nor to where I go. You judge carnally; I do not judge anyone. Yet if I do judge now, my judgment is true because it is not I alone, rather I and My Father who sent Me. And in your own Torah now it is written that the witness of two men is true. It is I that testify concerning Myself, yet My Father who sent Me testifies concerning Me.”

There are plenty of witnesses that will be presented from the 66-book canon, Enoch, Jubilees, 12 Patriarchs, and Genesis Apocryphon to confirm the topic at hand, and I will explain where these books were found and why we should be reading them to get a better understanding of the scriptures and not guessing or drawing our own conclusions.

Genesis 6:1-4

“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, that the sons of ELOHIM saw that the daughters of men were fair; so they took them wives of all whom they chose. Then YAHWEH said, My spirit shall not dwell in man forever, because he is flesh; let his days be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants on the earth in those days; and also after that, for the sons of ELOHIM came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, and they became GIANTS who in the olden days were mighty men of renown.”

Years ago, before I found these ancient witnesses supporting the view of fallen angels going into the daughters of men, a few things jumped out to me that made me know it was true. Notice the wording of the verse as it reads “the sons of ELOHIM came in unto the daughters of men” there is a separation showing the sons of ELOHIM are not human because the passage makes it clear these spiritual beings joined with human daughters of men. The daughters of men is the key to show that one was of human origin and the other was not; furthermore, since when did two humans ever produce a giant? That is another clue to show the corruption of the DNA with a spiritual being mating with a human woman and I, personally believe this was Satan’s attempt to corrupt the human DNA because he knew that YESHUA would be born as ELOHIM and Man, so he tried to form his own race of a hybrid species to prevent his destruction from happening and we all know that he failed. The book of Job gives us more context about the sons of ELOHIM.

Job 1:6

“Now there was a day when the sons of ELOHIM came to present themselves before YAHWEH, and Satan also among them.”

Job 2:1

“Again there was a day when the sons of ELOHIM came to present themselves before YAHWEH, and Satan came also among them to present himself before YAHWEH.”

This passage clearly shows this is a spiritual meeting that no human being could have access to. Satan and the sons of ELOHIM (angels) PRESENTED themselves before YAHWEH, which means they came before His throne which is in heaven. This again, rules out the human sons of Seth. I personally believe these witnesses would be enough to make a case, but I know it is not sufficient enough for most, so we will go deeper by looking at the Book of Enoch and the other Dead Sea Scrolls.

There are many who reject the Book of Enoch as being inspired, but I have a question to ask. Did you know that the Book of Jubilees and Enoch were discovered amongst the Dead Sea Scrolls in Cave #2 right along with the first five books of the Bible (The Torah), Jeremiah, and Psalms? If you accept the Old Testament to be true and inspired, which included the Torah, Psalms, and Jeremiah, then how do you reject the other books found right alongside it? It’s not our job to reject books because it goes against your thoughts or traditions you hold fast to; however, it is our job is to find the truth by all means and test it.

Yes, Enoch has an actual book:

Jubilees 4:16-17

“And in the eleventh jubilee Jared took to himself a wife, and her name was Baraka, the daughter of Rasui’el, a daughter of his dad’s brother, in the fourth week of this jubilee, and she bore him a son in the fifth week, in the fourth year of the jubilee, and he called his name Enoch. This one was the first among men that are born on earth who learned WRITING and knowledge and wisdom, and who wrote down the signs of heaven according to the order of their months in A BOOK…”

And we see that Abraham and Levi both mentioned this book of Enoch:

Genesis Apocryphon column 19:25 (When Pharaoh was going to take Sarah as wife)

“Me many gifts and asked of me knowledge, wisdom, and truth. So, I read before them the book of the words of ENOCH.”

Jubilees 21:10

“And eat its meat on that day and on the second day, and do not let the sun go down on the second day until it is eaten, and let nothing be left over for the third day; for it is not approved, and it will not be accepted; and let it no longer be eaten, and all who eat of it will bring sin upon themselves. For thus I (Abraham) have found it WRITTEN in the BOOKS of my forefathers, and in the words of ENOCH, and in the words of Noah.”

Testament of Levi 10:5

“For the house which YAHWEH chooses will be called Jerusalem, as is contained in the Book of ENOCH the righteous.”

YESHUA quoted from it:

Mathew 22:30

“For in the resurrection of the dead, men do not marry women, nor are women given to husbands. Rather, they are as the messengers of ELOHIM in heaven.”

Enoch 15:5-8

“Therefore have I given them (human men) wives also that they might impregnate them, and bring forth children by them, that thus none might be lacking to them on the earth. But you (angels) were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have NOT appointed wives for you; for as the spiritual ones of the heavens, in the heavens is THEIR DWELLING.”

YESHUA says that angels don’t have wives and the book of Enoch tells us that YAHWEH did not appoint wives for them as he did for earthly men.

More witnesses

So now armed with this truth let us examine these other witnesses contained within these removed books and the Dead Sea Scrolls concerning the angels mating with the daughters of men.

2 Baruch 56:11-14

“Also, for at that time when he was created, they had freedom. And some of them (angels) descended and INTERMINGLED WITH THE WOMEN. Then those who did so were tormented in chains. But the rest of the multitude of the angels, of whom there is no number, restrained themselves.”

Jubilees 4:22

“And he (Enoch) witnessed to the Watchers, who had SINNED WITH THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN. For these had begun to UNITE THEMSELVES, so as to be defiled, with the daughters of men, and Enoch witnessed to them all.”

So again, the Watchers/fallen angels/sons of ELOHIM/sons of heaven are the spiritual beings that laid with the daughters of men, so we have more context again for Genesis 6 showing that it was not the sons of Seth.

Testament of Rueben 5:5-8

“Therefore my children, flee from whoring, and command your wives and your daughters that they adorn NOT their heads and faces to deceive the mind of men, because every woman who plots such has been reserved for eternal punishment.

Rueben says that women should not adorn their heads (to enhance beauty with ornaments with something unessential) and faces (reference to make up/cosmetics) to deceives the minds of men and also they did this and made the angels lust after them, this is another witness to what Peter and Paul said.

1 Peter 3:3

“Your ADORNMENT should not be outward-arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on dresses but the hidden man of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a meek and peaceable spirit, which is of great value before ELOHIM.”

1 Timothy 2:9

“Likewise, that the women dress themselves becomingly, with decency and sensibleness, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly garments…”

1 Corinthians 11:10

“For this cause ought the woman to have on her head the mark of authority (head covering), BECAUSE OF THE MESSENGERS.”

And for women not to adorn their faces is a reference to what the fallen angels taught mankind:

Enoch 8:1

“And Asa’el taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and showed their successors the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ORNAMENTS, AND THE USE OF COSMETICS, AND THE BEAUTIFYING OF THE EYELIDS, and all the costly stones, and all coloring tinctures and alchemy.”

Testament of Rueben continued: For in this way they enticed the Watchers (Messengers/angels) who were before the flood. For as these continually looked upon them, they lusted after them, and they conceived the act in their mind; for THEY CHANGED THEMSELVES INTO THE SHAPE OF MEN, and appeared to them when they were with their husbands. And the women, lusting in their minds after their forms, gave birth to giants, for the Watchers appeared to them as reaching even to the heavens.” The angels being able to change forms in consistent with the Book of Enoch which states:

Enoch 19:1

“And Uriel said to me, “Here shall stand the messengers (angels) who have connected themselves with women- and their spirits ASSUMING MANY DIFFERENT FORMS  are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to demons as mighty ones…”

The fact of the angels being able to change their forms into humans in not a foreign idea in scripture as we see the two angels that went to Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19 appeared to Lot as humans. But Enoch gives us other witnesses concerning them changing their form and mating with women:

Enoch 86:1-6

“And again I saw with my eyes as I slept, and I saw the heaven above, and behold a star fell from heaven” (reference to Satan falling)

Luke 10:18

“And He (YESHUA) said to them, “I did see Satan falling like lightning from heaven.”

Enoch 86 continued “And it arose and ate and pastured among the oxen. And after that I saw the large and the black oxen, and behold they all changed their stalls and pastured and their cattle, and began to live with each other. And again I saw in the vision, and looked towards the heaven, and behold I saw MANY STARS descend and cast themselves down from the heaven to the first star…”

The many stars is a reference to the falling angels leaving their first domain as Jude and Peter wrote about it and this also matches Enoch 6:5 which says:

Enoch 6:5

“Then they all (the angels) swore together and bound themselves by a curse upon it (Mount Hermon). And they were, in all, TWO HUNDRED WHO DESCENED IN THE DAYS OF JARED ON MOUNT HERMON…”

Enoch 86 continued “And they BECAME BULLS (HUMANS) among those cattle and pastured with them among them.”

So, the fallen stars (angels) became bulls (humans), which means that the angels changed their form as we read from the Testament or Rueben 5:6-8

For as these continually looked upon them, they lusted after them, and they conceived the act in their mind; for THEY CHANGED THEMSELVES INTO THE SHAPE OF MEN, and appeared to them when they were with their husbands. And the women, lusting in their minds after their forms, gave birth to giants, for the Watchers appeared to them as reaching even to the heavens.”

Enoch 86 continued “And I looked at them and saw, and behold they all let out THEIR PRIVY MEMBERS (sharing something secret or private), like horses and began to mount upon the cows of the oxen, and they all became pregnant and bore elephants (The Giants), camels, and donkeys. And all the oxen feared them and were afraid of them, and began to bite with their teeth and to devour, and to gore with their horns. And they began, moreover, to devour those oxen; and behold all the children of the earth began to tremble and quake before them and to flee from them.”

The giants began to turn on the humans just as it is written in:

Enoch 15:11

And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble. They take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.”

Enoch 6:1-3 matches Genesis 6

“And it came to be, when the children of men had multiplied, that in those days were born unto them good looking and lovely daughters. And the messengers (angels), the children of the heavens, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: “Come let us choose wives from among the children of men and bring forth children. And Shemyatsa, who was their leader, said to them, “I fear you will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of A GREAT SIN.”

Enoch gives us some more details here, because instead of calling them the sons of ELOHIM, he calls them the children of the heavens, which immediately shows us that they were not humans and could not be the sons of Seth.

Enoch 13:8 (The fallen angels asked Enoch to petition for them for their sins)

“And see, a dream came to me, and visions fell down upon me, and I saw visions of rebuke, and a voice came bidding, to tell it to the SONS OF THE HEAVENS, and reprimand them.”

So, we see the fallen angels (sons of ELOHIM/Watchers/fallen angels) left there dwelling in heaven and took wives then mated with human women and defiled themselves. The leader of those fallen angels says plainly that he knew it was a GREAT SIN and Jude and Peter agree with this. Jude and Peter knew what SIN they committed, because there is no mention of the angels sinning in the Bible OUTSIDE of Genesis 6, so Enoch 6 and Genesis 6 agree what that sin was!

Jude 1:6

“And the messengers (angels) who did not keep their own principality (domain), but LEFT THEIR OWN DWELLING (heaven), He has kept in everlasting shackles under the darkness for the judgment of the great day.”

Jude says that the messengers (angels) left their own dwelling/abode/home and are kept in chains in darkness. What did the angels do when they left the heavens? And how did Jude know that what they did was a sin?

Enoch 12:4-5

“Enoch, you scribe of righteousness go, declare, to the watchers (angels) of the heavens, WHO HAVE LEFT THE HIGH HEAVENS, THE ETERNAL PLACE, and have defiled themselves with women, and have done as the children of earth do, and have taken unto themselves wives, ‘You have wrought great destruction on the earth. And you shall have no peace nor forgiveness of sin…”

Notice again that Jude 1:6 says that they are held in chains in darkness until the great Day of Judgement? Where did he get this from?

Enoch 10:4-6

“And again YAHWEH said to Repha’el, “Bind Azaz’el hand and foot, and cast him into the DARKNESS: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Duda’el (Egypt), and cast him in there. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with DARKNESS, and let him abide there forever, and cover his face that he may NOT SEE LIGHT. AND ON THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT he shall be cast into the fire.”

2 Peter 2:4

“For if YAHWEH did not spare the angels who SINNED, but sent them to Gey-Hinnom, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment.”

2 Baruch 56:11-14

Peter says that the angels sinned, and we see that Genesis 6, Jubilees 4, Enoch, 2 Baruch and Jude agree that they defiled themselves with human women which ties into what Jubilees 4:22 that Enoch witnessed to the Watchers, who had SINNED with the daughters of men. We know that the angels are not recorded to having sinned other than what Genesis 6 says. But Enoch chapter 6 and the other witnesses presented tells us exactly what the sin was.

Enoch 15:1-11

“And He answered and said to me, and I heard His voice, “Fear not, Enoch, you righteous man and scribe of righteousness, approach there and hear My voice. “And go, say to the watchers (sons of ELOHIM, angels) of the heavens who have sent you to intercede for them, ‘You should intercede for men, and not men for you. Why have you left the high, holy, and eternal heavens (Jude 1:6 and 2 Baruch 56:12 “Left their own dwelling”), and LAIN WITH WOMEN, and defiled yourselves with the DAUGHTERS OF MEN and taken to yourselves WIVES, and done like the children of earth, and BEGOTTEN GIANTS (Genesis 6:1-4) as sons? And though you were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have brought forth with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood, as those also do who die and perish. Therefore have I given them wives also that they might impregnate them, and bring forth children by them, that thus none might be lacking to them on the earth. But you were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have NOT appointed wives for you; for as the spiritual ones of the heavens, in the heavens is THEIR DWELLING. And now, the giants who are produced FROM THE SPIRITS upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on the earth, and evil spirits they shall be called. As for the spirits of the heavens, in the heavens shall be THEIR DWELLING, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling. And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble. They take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.”

Genesis Apocryphon was found in Cave #1 in 1947 right along with the scroll of Isaiah, the same Isaiah that we read in the Old Testament. Genesis Apocryphon is a very fragmented document because it was badly damaged; however, it contains the same truth as outlined with the many witnesses above. Wherever you see (missing section) means that part of the scroll was missing or unreadable.

Genesis Apocryphon Column 2 matches Enoch 106 (birth of Noah)

“So then I thought to myself (Lamech) that the conception (Noah) was from Watchers or that the seed was from Holy Ones, or belonged to Nephilim; and my mind wavered because of this child.”

So, we see that Lamech clearly knew it was possible for the angels to mate with human women because he thought that Noah was brought forth by one of the angels, so he did not think that Noah was his child, and this evidenced by the conversation with his wife.

Genesis Apocryphon 2 continued “Then I, Lamech, became frightened, and I went to Bitenosh, my wife and said to her,..(missing section) “by the Most High, by the Majestic YAHWEH, by the King of all Ages, with one of the sons of heaven, that you truthfully make everything known to me, wither..(missing section) “You must tell me truthfully and without lies whether this…(missing section) “Swear by the Most High, the Majestic YAHWEH, by the King of all Ages that you are speaking to me truthfully and without lies.” Then Bitenosh, my wife, spoke to me with great vehemence (passion), she cried and said, “O my brother and my master, recall my pleasure (missing section) “in the heat of time, and my breath in the midst of its sheath. For I shall tell you everything truthfully (missing section) the birth.” And then my mind was changed within me (missing section). When Bitenosh, my wife, noticed that my expression had changed (missing section) then she suppressed her emotion, speaking to me and saying to me, “O my master and my brother, recall (missing section) my pleasure. I swear to you by the Great Holy One, by the King of Heaven that this seed is from you; from you is this conception, and from you the planting of this fruit (missing section) and not from any stranger, OR FROM ANY OF THE WATCHERS, OR FROM ANY OF THE SONS OF HEAVEN…”

Enoch 106:1-6

“And after some time I, Enoch, took a wife for my son Methuselah, and she brought forth a son and called his name Lamech, saying, righteousness has indeed been brought low today.’ And when he grew my son Methuselah took a wife for his son Lamech, and she became pregnant by him and bore a boy. And when he was born, his body was as white as snow, and as red as a rose, and the hair of his head and his long locks were white as wool, and his demdema (long and curly hair that has been combed up straight) was beautiful. And when he opened his eyes, he lit up the whole house like the sun, and the whole house was very bright. And he arose in the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and spoke to the Master with righteousness. And his dad Lamech was afraid of him and fled, and came to his dad Methuselah. And he said to him, “A strange son has been born to me, different than—and unlike—man, and resembling the SONS OF MESSENGERS OF HEAVEN; and his nature is different and he is not like us, and his eyes are as the rays of the sun, and his face is esteemed. And it seems to me that HE IS NOT SPRUNG FROM ME BUT FROM THE MESSENGERS.”

Genesis Apocryphon 5:12

“He (Noah) lifted his face to me (Lamech), and his eyes shone like the sun.” This matches the above scripture from Enoch 106.

Again, Lamech understood that the fallen angels could mate with human women, which is why he believed that they angels brought Noah forth and not him. Enoch goes on to tell Methuselah to let Lamech know that Noah is his real son and not the angels.

Genesis Apocryphon column 5:3-4

“Look, when I Enoch (missing section) and NOT FROM THE SONS OF HEAVEN, but rather from Lamech, your son…”

Enoch 106:18

“And now make known to your son Lamech that he who has been born is in truth his son, and call his name Noah; for he shall be left to you, and he and his sons shall be saved from the destruction, which shall come upon the earth on account of all the sin and all the unrighteousness, which shall be consummated on the earth in his days.”

Genesis Apocryphon 6:11, 19-20

“(Missing section) the heavens. In a vision I saw and was shown and informed about the CONDUCT OF THE SONS OF HEAVEN and what all (missing section) verses 19-20 “the blood which the Nephilim shed. I was calm and I waited until (missing section) HOLY ONES WHO WERE WITH THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN.”

So why is it that our ancestors believed this truth, but followers of YESHUA today reject this truth? Many witnesses have been presented in the message and hopefully some eyes will be opened to understand that the spiritual realm is more real than we are, that the sons of ELOHIM are angels and not the sons of Seth, and also to encourage you to look beyond the 66-Book canon because it is not all of YAHWEH’s word.
