YESHUA is the SON!

I did a video sometime last year titled “YESHUA is not an idol” because there are many who are denying who YESHUA is or even His existence all together and the great falling away is occurring at rapid pace. YESHUA is the Son of YAHWEH and without Him nobody has a chance to be saved. I will include scriptures showing that YESHUA saying or agreeing that He is the Son, witnesses, explaining a parable to show this, and showing how the demons fear and know who YESHUA is.

Many believe they can call upon the Name of the Father all while rejecting the Son and YESHUA’s words are clear on this:

 John 15:23

“He who hates Me hates My Father as well.”

1 John 2:22-23

“Who is the liar, except the one denying that YESHUA is Messiah? This is the anti-messiah, the one denying the Father and the Son. No one denying the Son has the Father. The one confessing the Son has the Father as well.”

Many are calling upon The Father while rejecting the Son and we see that is impossible!

For those who say YESHUA wasn’t there in the beginning as John 1:1-2, Hebrews 1:1-2, Colossians 1:14-17, and many places in the Old Testament  as I’ve shown in past videos, then I would like to quickly show other scriptures proving His existence in the beginning:

Psalms 40:7

“Then I said, See, I come in the scroll (volume) of the Book it is written concerning Me.”

YESHUA is speaking well before He became flesh and said that He comes in the scroll (the animal skin, papyrus, or leather the Torah which is the first 5 Books it was written on) was concerning Him. This ties in exactly to what YESHUA said in:

Luke 24:44

“And He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all have to be filled that were written in the Torah of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning ME.” Which makes perfectly with Psalms 40:7 quoted above.

John 5:39

“You search the Scriptures because you think you possess everlasting life in them. And these are the ones that bear witness of Me.” Verse 46 “For if you believed Moses, you would have believed Me, since he wrote about Me.”

Luke 10:17-18

“And the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Adonai, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan falling out of the heavens as lightning.”

In order for YESHUA to have seen Satan fall from the heavens as lightning, wouldn’t He have to already be in heaven to see this happen? The following scriptures in John show us where YESHUA came from:

John 6:38

“Because I have come down out of the heavens, not to do My own desire, but the desire of Him who sent Me.”

John 8:23

“And He said to them, “You are from below, I am from above. You are of this world, I am not of this world.”

John 1:30

“This is He of whom I said, ‘after me comes a Man who has become before me, for He was before me.”

John The Baptist was saying that YESHUA came six months after him being born on earth, but was before him, meaning that YESHUA was here from the very beginning of time.

Micah 5:2 (Septuagint)

“And you, Beyth-Lehem, house of Ephrata, are few in number to be reckoned among the thousands of Yehudah (Judah); yet out of you one shall come out to Me, to a RULER OF YISRA’EL; and His goings out were FROM THE BEGINNING, EVEN FROM THE DAYS OF THE ETERNITY.”

Many Torah observant believers and Muslims say that YESHUA never said that He was the Son of YAHWEH!

 Is this true?

Psalms 2:5-9 (Septuagint)

“Then shall he speak to them in his anger and trouble them in His fury. But I have been made KING by Him on Zion His set-apart mountain, declaring the statute of YAHWEH: YAHWEH said to ME, YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY HAVE I BEGOTTEN YOU (Brought into existence by or as if by a parent). Ask of Me and I will give you the goyim (nations) as your inheritance and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall tend them as a Shepherd; You shall dash them in pieces as a potter’s vessel. “

The scripture is clear evidence that YESHUA is speaking and not YAHWEH!

John 9:35-37

“YESHUA heard that they had cast him out, and when he had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the SON OF ELOHIM? He answered and said, “Who is He, My Master, that I might believe in Him?” And YESHUA said to him, “You have both seen Him and He who speaks with you is He.”

John 3:18

“He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of ELOHIM.”

Mathew 16:13-17

“Now when YESHUA came into the parts of Kaisereia Philippos; He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say the Son of Man is? And they said, “Some John the Baptist, and others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “And you, who do you say I am? And Simon Peter answering, said, “You are The Messiah, the SON OF THE LIVING ELOHIM.” YESHUA answering, said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Yonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in the heavens.”

Notice, how YESHUA does not rebuke Peter for saying that He is the Son of YAHWEH? Rather, YESHUA says that Peter is blessed for receiving this revelation because it was given by YAHWEH! We see from scripture that if disciples were ever wrong about something that YESHUA had no problems correcting them:

Mathew 16:22-23

“And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Be kind to Yourself, My Master, this shall not be to You!” But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to Me, for your thoughts are not those of ELOHIM, but those of men.”

Luke 9:54-56

“And His disciples, James and John, seeing it said, “My Master, do You want us to command fire to come down from the heavens and destroy them, as also Elijah did?” But having turned, He (YESHUA) rebuked them and said, “You do not know of what spirit you are, for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.”And they went on to another village.”

Then we see this happen again with the other disciples and YESHUA accepts what they say because it is true and does not rebuke them for it.

Mathew 14:28-33

“And Peter answered Him and said, “Adonai, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” And He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to YESHUA. But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Adonai, save me!” And immediately YESHUA stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “O you of little belief, why did you doubt?” And when they came into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat came and bowed to Him, saying, “Truly You are the SON OF YAHWEH.”

Hebrews 1:1-2

“YAHWEH, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by THE SON, whom He has appointed heir of all….

YAHWEH The Father calls YESHUA His SON in the Gospels; and we know that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established:

John 8:17

“And in your Torah also, it has been written that the witness of two men is TRUE.”

Mathew 3:16-17

“And having been immersed (baptized), YESHUA went up immediately from the water, and see, the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit descending like a dove and coming upon Him, and see, a voice out of the heavens, saying, “This is My SON, the Beloved, in whom I DELIGHT.”

Mark 1:11

“And a voice came out of the heavens, “You are My SON, the Beloved, in whom I DELIGHT.”

Luke 3:22

“And the RUACH HA’KODESH (Holy Spirit) descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from the heavens saying, “You are My SON, the Beloved, I DELIGHT in You.”

Now let us take a look at a parable spoken by YESHUA to see what He says. But before we do this let’s examine what YESHUA says about parables:

Mathew 13:10-16

“And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” And He answering, said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the secrets of the reign of the heavens, but to them it has not been given. For whoever possesses, to him more shall be given, and he shall have overflowing; but whoever does not possess, even what he possesses shall be taken away from him. Because of this I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is completely filled, which says, ‘Hearing you shall hear and by no means understand, and seeing you shall see and by no means perceive, for the heart of this people has become thickened, and their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart, and turn back, and I heal them.”

The Greek word for the heart being thickened is #G3975 Pachyno “Pa-khu-no” which means to rend the soul dull or callous (hardened, no emotion, hard-hearted). So could it be that many who reject YESHUA as the Son of YAHWEH have hard hearts and cannot see the truth that YESHUA spoke in His parables?

Mathew 21:33-44

“Hear another parable: There was a certain man, a house-holder who planted a vineyard and placed a hedge around it, and dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. And he leased it to farmers and went abroad. And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive its fruit. And the farmers took his servants and beat one, and they killed one, and they stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. And at last he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They shall respect my son. But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and let us possess his inheritance.” “And they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. Therefore, when the master of the vineyard comes, what shall he do to those farmers? They said to Him, “Evil ones! He shall bring them to evil destruction, and lease the vineyard to other farmers who shall give to him the fruits in their seasons.” YESHUA said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The Stone which the builders rejected has become the chief Corner-Stone. This was from YAHWEH, and it is marvelous in our eyes? Because of this I say to you: the reign of ELOHIM shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it. And he who falls on this stone shall be broken, but on whomever it falls, he shall be pulverized.”

The Master of the Vineyard/House-Holder is “YAHWEH”

The servants are the “Prophets”

The Farmers are the “Native-born Jews”

The Son is “YESHUA”

Other farmers/Another nation is the “gentiles”

YAHWEH (The Master of the vineyard) called His chosen people the (Farmers) Yisra’elites first but they were rebellious; therefore, He called the gentiles and allowed to repentance unto life to be grafted in and obey Him, which is why YESHUA said “the reign of ELOHIM shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it.”

Deuteronomy 32:21

“They made Me jealous by what is not EL, they provoked Me with their worthlessness. But I make them (Israelites) jealous by those who are no people, I provoke them with a foolish nation (gentiles).”

Acts 13:46

“But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, “It was necessary that the Word of ELOHIM should be spoken to you first (Israelites), but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, see, we turn to the gentiles.”

YAHWEH continually sent His (servants) the prophets to warn His people but they continually rejected them and killed them, which is why YESHUA said “And the farmers took his servants and beat one, and they killed one, and they stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.”

Mathew 23:29-37

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build of the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in the blood of the prophets. Thus you bear witness against yourselves that you’re sons of those who murdered the prophets. Verse 37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you would not!”

Revelation 18:23-24

“And the light of a lamp shall not shine in you any more at all. And the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you any more at all. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, for by your drug sorcery all the nations were led astray. And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and all who were slain on the earth.”

Finally, YAHWEH sent His Son YESHUA and they rejected Him and killed Him, which is why YESHUA said “And at last he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They shall respect my son. But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and let us possess his inheritance.” “And they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.”

Mathew 12:13-14

“Then He (YESHUA) said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored, as healthy as the other. But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against Him, so as to destroy Him.”

John 1:10-11

“He (YESHUA) was in the world, and the world came to be through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own (Jews), and His own did not receive Him.”

John 19:14-18

“And it was the Preparation of the Pesach, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “See your King!” But they shouted, “Away, away, impale Him! Pilate said to them, “Shall I impale your King? The chief priests answered, “We have no king except Caesar! “At that time, then, he delivered Him to them to be impaled. And they took YESHUA and led away. And bearing His stake, He went out to the so-called Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they impaled Him, and two others with Him, one on this side and one on that side, and YESHUA in the middle.”

And the parable was very clear to the Pharisees because they knew YESHUA was talking about them, yet they still did not catch the part about YESHUA being the Son, because they refused to see it just as many are doing today, as we see in Mathew 21:45

“And the chief priests and Pharisees, having heard His parables, knew that He was speaking them.”

YESHUA is the Chief Corner Stone which is He said “YESHUA said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The Stone which the builders rejected has become the chief Corner-Stone. This was from YAHWEH, and it is marvelous in our eyes?”

1 Peter 2:4-7

“Drawing near to Him, a living STONE-rejected indeed by men, but chosen by YAHWEH and precious-you also, as living stones, are being built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual slaughter offerings acceptable to YAHWEH through YESHUA HA’MASHIACH. Because it is contained in the Scripture, “See, I lay in Zion a CHIEF CORNER-STONE, chosen, precious, and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame. This esteem, then, is for you who believe; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNER-STONE,” and “A stone of stumbling and a rock that makes for falling,” who stumble because they are disobedient to the Word (YESHUA), to which they also were appointed.”

Luke 2:34-35

“See, this One (YESHUA) is appointed for a fall and rising of many in Yisra’el, and for a sign spoken against-and a sword shall pierce through your own being also-so as to reveal the thoughts of many hearts.”

Many are falling because of the Appointed One YESHUA and their hearts are hardened as to not believe in Him just like the Pharisees.

The heir

Hebrews 1:1-2

“YAHWEH, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by THE SON, whom He has appointed HEIR of all…. Which is why YESHUA said “They shall respect my son. But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the HEIR. Come, let us kill him, and let us possess his inheritance.”

Build your foundation on the Rock!

Though YESHUA is referring to keeping His commandments in this scripture, there is still an application to be taken from it. By rejecting YESHUA as the Son of YAHWEH you will be building your house on the sand that will fall, so let’s look at YESHUA’s own words concerning this:

Mathew 7:24-27

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the ROCK, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on the house and it did not fall, for it was founded on the ROCK!”

Who is the Rock?

1 Corinthians 10:1-4

“For I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our ancestors were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and were immersed into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that SPIRTUAL ROCK THAT FOLLOWED, AND THE ROCK WAS MESSIAH.”

YESHUA is the Written Word that became Living Flesh meaning that He is the Torah and Our Rock. So without Him you have no foundation at all; and when the rains, floods, and winds come then you will not be able to stand because your foundation isn’t built on YESHUA because you have rejected Him.

Mathew 7 (continued) “And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not do them, shall be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and great was its fall.”

The demons even know who He is shouldn’t you?

James 2:19

“You believe that ELOHIM is one. You do well. The demons also believe-and shudder!”

Mathew 8:28-29

“And when He came to the other side, to the country of the Girgashites, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, very fierce, so that no one was able to pass that way. And see, they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, YESHUA, SON OF ELOHIM? Have You come here to torture us, before the appointed time?”

Mark 1:23-25 verse 34

“And there was a man in their congregation with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, “Ha! What have we to do with You, YESHUA of Natsareth? Did you come to destroy us? I know who You are: the Holy One of ELOHIM!” Verse 34 And He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons, and was not allowing the demons to speak, because they knew Him.”

Mark 3:11-12

“And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, “You are the SON OF ELOHIM.” But He warned them many times that they should not make Him known.”

Mark 5:1-7

“And they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of Gadarenes. And when He came out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him, not even with chains, because had had often been bound with shackles and chains but the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was able to tie him. And continually, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. And seeing YESHUA from a distance, he ran and bowed down to Him, and having called out with a loud voice, said, “What have I to do with You, YESHUA, SON OF THE MOST HIGH EL? Swear to ELOHIM not to torture me.”

Luke 4:41

“And also demons were coming out of many, crying out and saying, “You are The Messiah, the SON OF ELOHIM!” And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was The Messiah.”

These accounts have been written for a reason to show us that the demons know who YESHUA is, where He is from, and the power that He has. They fear Him, just as every human being on this earth should! Do not wait until Judgment Day to understand that you should have known Him and feared Him more than the demons did.

Let us all be thankful to our Father YAHWEH for sending His only begotten Son YESHUA who died for our sins as we are about to observe Passover next week. I pray this helps someone who doesn’t believe in Him to accept Him today.

Messages contained in Hebrew Names.

We discussed last week the importance of the Hebraic Roots of our faith and how the scriptures were written in Hebrew, how words translated from Hebrew into another language begins to lose its meaning, how Hebrew is the Holy Tongue of creation, and also the importance of studying the etymology of the words in the original language. One of the greatest examples is how YESHUA means “YAHWEH is Salvation.”

 So today I would like to do something different and look at some names and formulate a message out of them. In order to make this work it requires adding a word or two to make a smooth transition to the next word. I would like to use three examples and I’ll start off with a short one so you will get the point of what this message is about.

Message one:

Pharisee in Hebrew means “Separate”

Sadducees in Hebrew means “Righteous ones”

Adding this two words into a sentence would be: The Pharisee’s and Sadducees attempt to separate the righteous ones with their man-made doctrines.

And this makes complete sense when we look at the words of YESHUA:

Mathew 16:6

“And YESHUA said to them, “Mind! And beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” Verse 11-12 “How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread, but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?” Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the TEACHING OF THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES.”

Message two:

Now we are going to look at the sons of Jacob, the 12 tribes of Yisra’el in the order of their birth.

Genesis 35:22-25

“And it came to be, when Yisra’el dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his dad’s concubine. And Yisra’el heard about it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve: the sons of Leah were Reuben, Jacob’s first-born, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Yissaskar, and Zebulon; the sons of Rachel were Joseph and Benjamin; the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s female servant, were Dan and Naphtali; and the sons of Zilpah, Leah’s female servant, were Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan Aram.”

What are the meaning of their names?

Reuben means “behold” or “a son”

Simeon means “heard”

Levi means “joined”

Judah means “YAHWEH be praised”

Yissakar means “brought reward”

Zebulon means “dwelling” or “habitation”

Joseph means “YAHWEH has added”

Benjamin means “son of the right hand”

Dan means “he that judges”

Naphtali means “my struggle”

Gad means “fortune”

Asher means “gladness”

Combining them together

Now when we combine the meanings together and add a word or two to make a smooth transition of the word I see a powerful message in the names of the 12 Tribes, which reads:

Behold, I heard the truth then joined, let YAHWEH be praised! He brought a reward  The Holy Spirit is dwelling in us ; from the beginning has added the Son of the right hand (YESHUA), He that judges (John 5:22) forgives my struggle (died for our sins/Intercessor) bringing fortune and gladness (eternal life).

Scriptures that match the message are as follows:

Mark 4:20

“And those sown on good soil, are those who HEAR the Word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirtyfold, and some sixty, and some a hundred.”

Psalms 150:6

“Let all that have breath PRAISE YAH. HALLELUYAH!”

John 14:17

“The Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall BE IN YOU.”

Mathew 26:64

“YESHUA said to him, “You have said it. Besides I say to you, from now you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the RIGHT HAND OF THE ALMIGHTY, and coming on the clouds of the heavens.”

John 5:22

“For the Father judges no one, but has given all the judgment to the Son.”

Hebrews 4:14-16

“Therefore, since we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, YESHUA the Son of YAHWEH, let us hold fast our confessions. For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin. Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of favor, in order to receive compassion, and find favor for timely help.

Revelation 21:3-6

“And I heard a loud voice from the heavens saying, “See, the Booth of ELOHIM is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and ELOHIM Himself shall be with them and be their ELOHIM. And ELOHIM shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, no mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former have passed away. And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph and the Tau’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment.”

Message 3:

Next we are going to look at the sons of David and combine the name of his sons in the order of their birth. When David reigned in Hebron for 7 years in 6 months, six sons were born to him:

2 Samuel 3:2-5

“And sons were born to David in Hebron. And his first-born was Amnon by Ahino’am the Yizre’elitess; and his second, Kil’ab by Abigail the widow of Naval the Karmelite; and the third, Abshalom son of Ma’akah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur: and the fourth, Adoniyah son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatyah son of Abital; and the sixth, Yithre’am, by David’s wife Eglah. These were born to David in Hebron.”

David had 11 more sons born to him when he reigned in Jerusalem for 33 years:

2 Samuel 5:13-15

“And David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron, and more sons and daughters were born to David. And these were the names of those worn to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, and Yibhar, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Yaphiya, and Elishama and Elyada, and Eliphelet.”

Amnon means “Trustworthy”

Kil’av means “Like father”

Abshalom means “My father of peace’

Adoniyah means “my father is YAHWEH”

Sephatyah means “Judged of YAHWEH”

Yithrea’am means “Excellence of the people’

Shammua means “Renowned”

Shobab means “Rebellious”

Nathan means “Given, giving”

Solomon means “Peacefully”

Yibhar means “chosen”

Elishua means “My EL is Salvation”

Nepheg means “Sprout”

Yaphiya means “Shining”

Elishama means “My EL hears”

Elyada means “EL knows”

Eliphelet “My EL of deliverance”

Combining all the names together we get:

Trustworthy like Father, my Father of peace, My Master is YAHWEH, Judged of YAHWEH and He is the excellence of the people. YAHWEH is renowned, but Yisra’el is rebellious, yet He keeps giving peacefully. YESHUA is chosen My EL is Salvation and shall sprout with shining, My EL hears, He knows, He is my EL of deliverance.

I absolutely love the part about “My EL is Salvation” because YESHUA literally means “YAHWEH is Salvation!”

Was Jacob and David giving us a message when they named their sons? It is interesting to examine either way. With the adding of a few words we can see some powerful messages contained within the in the etymology of their names. I pray this encourages you to dig deeper into the Hebraic roots of our faith and keep clinging to YESHUA! As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name.

Why do many hate the Hebraic roots of our faith?

I have heard many say beware of the Hebrew Roots movements because they are bringing you back to the Torah which they deem to be a “curse” which is not true because we know that James says that the Torah is freedom in James 1:25. They say that those who call our Father YAHWEH by the Name and calling the Name of His Son YESHUA are “sacred Namers!” As if we are a part of some secret mystery religion when in fact His Name was given to us all to use. So how can the Name of our ELOHIM that He gave us to use be a part of a sacred Name movement?

Exodus 3:15

“And ELOHIM said further to Moses, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’el. YAHWEH ELOHIM of your ancestors, the ELOHIM of Abraham, the ELOHIM of Isaac, and the ELOHIM of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My NAME FOREVER, and this is My remembrance to ALL GENERATIONS.”

 He has a personal name just as we do. The difference is that the Hebrew names have function and meaning whereas a name in our western society is just a means to identify someone. An example of this is the Name YESHUA which means “YAHWEH is Salvation” because YAHWEH sent His only begotten Son to save us from our sins.

Furthermore, if the Hebrew roots movement is evil then we have some serious problems because YAHWEH chose the Yisra’elites as His chosen people and gave them the Torah and due to their disobedience He allowed the gentiles to be grafted in with the native-born even during the Exodus out of Egypt (Exodus 12:37-38).

Deuteronomy 32:21

“They made Me jealous by what is not EL, they provoked Me with their worthlessness. But I make them (Israelites) jealous by those who are no people, I provoke them with a foolish nation (gentiles).”

Acts 13:46

“But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, “It was necessary that the Word of ELOHIM should be spoken to you first (Israelites), but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, see, we turn to the gentiles.”

How can you provoke them to jealousy when you aren’t doing as they do? They should look at you and say “They keep the commandments like us, so what are we missing? Ohhhh it is because they have YESHUA the Son of YAHWEH as well!” The point that I’m making is that without the Hebraic roots of the faith which were given to the Israelites there would be no such thing as Christianity. The problem is that Christianity has chosen to take pieces from the truth and formed their own man-made doctrines instead of completely immersing themselves in the truth of the Hebraic roots of our faith.

2 Esdras 1:24

“What shall I do unto you, O Jacob? You, Judah, would not obey Me. I shall turn Myself to other nations (gentiles) and to them I shall give My Name, that they MAY GUARD MY LAWS.” Verse 35 I shall give your houses to a people that shall come; who having not yet heard of Me, shall believe Me; to whom I have showed no signs, yet they shall do what I have COMMANDED THEM.”

So YAHWEH did not set up a “New religion” for the gentiles, He simply called them to be grafted in with the native-born and to obey His commandments! But instead of obeying, the world has created something new which has led to so much confusion. Many Christians say “No this is not true because YAHWEH rejected Yisra’el and has chosen the church!” This is called replacement theology and this is not true. YAHWEH addresses this false doctrine Himself:

Jeremiah 33:24-26

“Have you not observed what these people have spoken (Christianity), saying, ‘The two clans (House of Judah and House of Yisra’el) which YAHWEH has chosen have been rejected by Him? So they have despised My people, no more to be a nation before them. Thus said YAHWEH, ‘If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the laws of the heavens and earth, then I would also reject the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I should not take of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I shall turn back their captivity, and have compassion on them.”

YAHWEH is saying that if His covenant is not with day and night so that the sun doesn’t shine in the day and the moon at night, then so would He cast of the Yisra’elites as His chosen people. And we all know that day and night have continued in their same pattern giving light at their appointed times; therefore, He is saying that He will never reject Yisra’el as His people. So instead of despising the Hebrew Roots it’s time to embrace it and recognize that you should be a part of it. The problem is that Christians believe in YESHUA which is crucial; however, they just do not recognize their identity in Messiah that there is only ONE faith. Your identity is a citizen of Yisra’el through belief in YESHUA and keeping the commandments of the Hebraic roots of your faith.

Those who despise the Hebrew Roots say things like “Well I don’t speak Hebrew that was for the Jews!” But in actuality they speak Hebrew every day or every time they go to church. The word HalleluYAH is Hebrew for “Praise You YAH” and Ahmein is Hebrew for “So be it”, so many are speaking Hebrew without even knowing it. And the ones who say that Hebrew Roots are “sacred Namers” are actually already saying the short form of the Name of our Father YAHWEH when they say Hallelu-YAH!

You don’t have to be a fluent in speaking Hebrew because I would never claim to be, but it shouldn’t stop you from trying. Many will learn to speak many other languages and yet neglect the Hebrew. It’s important to understand that the further you move from the Hebrew you will miss the meaning of the original context of what our ELOHIM is saying. This is why it’s important for us to look at the etymology of the Hebrew Names and words. There are many resources that help you with this such as reading the HalleluYAH Scriptures which comes with a “names meaning” book, and The Blue Letter Bible online.

Without studying the original language makes it easy to misinterpret a passage because most apply the western mindset of thinking to the scriptures instead of the Eastern mindset the scriptures were written in. An example of this is one I’ve covered before about the word “Echad” in Hebrew which is a compound unity meaning more than one, which is how YESHUA can say in John 10:30 that He and His Father are One “Echad” meaning Two separate Persons yet ONE ELOHIM, YESHUA was quoting the Shema found in Deuteronomy 6:4

“Hear, O Yisra’el: YAHWEH our ELOHIM, YAHWEH is ONE (Echad)”

 Reading this with a western mind set makes you think it’s a singular “one” therefore the context is completely missed and false doctrines about YESHUA being an idol start to appear.

The problem is that after the ascension of YESHUA the world started moving away from the Hebraic Roots of our faith and condemning any who did. So those who despise the Hebrew Roots are holding dear to the words spoken at the Council of Laodicea.

Council of Laodicea 364 A.D.

“Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Shabbat, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord’s Day (Sunday); and if they can, resting as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema (cursed) from Christ.”

Let no one be Judaizers? That is interesting because YESHUA was a Jew! This is what happens when you get further and further away from the truth and end up following man and his teaching and not YAHWEH! Passover becomes Easter, Sukkot becomes Thanksgiving, and the Shabbat becomes Sunday.

Evidence that Hebrew is important

The Book of Sirach is one of my favorite books that was included in the original 1611 KJV but removed in the 1800’s.  Sirach, Enoch, Jubilees and Tobit were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls along with the Tanak (Old Testament) in the Qumran Caves discovery which means these writings are over 2,000 years old.

Sirach 1 (The Prologue)

“Whereas many and great matters have been delivered to us through the Torah and the prophets and by others that have followed their paths, for which Yisra’el ought to be commended for learning and wisdom; and of which not only the readers need to become competent themselves, but also those who desire to learn be able to benefit those who are outside, both by speaking and writing. My grandfather Yehoshua, when he had applied himself greatly to the reading of the Law, and the prophets, and other Books of our ancestors, and had acquired good judgment from them, was himself also led to write somewhat pertaining to learning and wisdom; to the intent that those who desire to learn, and are drawn to such, might profit much more in living according to the Law. Therefore let me plead that you read it with good intent and attention, and to pardon us for where we may seem to have come short in some words, which we have labored to INTERPRET. FOR THE SAME WORDS SPOKEN IN HEBREW, AND TRANSLATED INTO ANOTHER TONGUE (LANGUAGE), DO NOT HAVE THE SAME FORCE IN THEM; and not only this, but the Law itself, and the prophets, and the rest of the Books, have GREAT DIFFERENCE, WHEN THEY ARE SPOKEN IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE.”

So as we can see that when Hebrew is translated into other languages it begins to lose it’s meaning because there are no equivalents for the words in another language. So if you hate the Hebraic roots of your faith, yet you want to follow the Scriptures, how will you get the true meaning without studying the etymology of the original words? The Scriptures were written in Hebrew not English.

Genesis 11:1

“And it came to be, all the earth had one language and one speech.” Verse 7 YAHWEH says “Come, let US go there and confuse their language, so that they do not understand one another’s speech.” And YAHWEH scattered them from there, over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. That is why its name was called Babel, because there YAHWEH confused the language of all the earth, and from there YAHWEH scattered them over the face of all the earth.”

So the whole earth was speaking one language before YAHWEH confused all the languages of the earth. So what language were they all speaking? It was Hebrew and the Book of Jubilees clears this up for us.

Jubilees 12:22-27

“And he (Abraham) made an end of speaking and praying. And see, the word of YAHWEH was sent to him through me (angel), saying, “Get up from your land, and from your clan and from the house of your dad, to a land which I shall show you, and I shall make you a great and numerous nation. And I shall bless you and I shall make your name great, and you shall be blessed in the earth, and in you shall all generations of the earth be blessed, and I shall bless them that bless you, and curse them that curse you. And I shall be an ELOHIM to you and your son, and to your son’s son, and to all your seed. Do not fear; from this time and to all generations of the earth, I am your ELOHIM.” And YAHWEH ELOHIM said, “Open his mouth and his ears, that he may hear and speak with his mouth, with the language which has been revealed.” For it had ceased from the mouths of all the children of men from the day of the overthrow (Tower of Babel). And I opened his mouth, and his ears and his lips, and I began to speak with him in HEBREW IN THE TONGUE OF THE CREATION. And he took the Books of his ancestors and these were written in HEBREW-and he transcribed them, and he began from this time to study them. And I made known to him that which he could not understand, and he studied them during the six rainy months.”

Does our Father YAHWEH hear us when we speak in other languages? Yes! The point that I’m making is that Hebrew is the language He used to speak the world into existence and we see that Sirach says that words translated from Hebrew to another language does not have the same force in it. Therefore, it’s important we go back to the original language when we study scripture to get the full context of what is being said.

YESHUA spoke Aramaic/Hebrew

Many scholars believe that the earliest manuscripts of the Renewed Covenant which is known as the New Testament are said to have been written in Aramaic before it was penned in Greek, the version is called the Aramaic Peshitta. And we know that Aramaic and Hebrew are Semitic languages that are closely related to each other, and have many common words and phrases. We cannot not forget an important fact is that YESHUA was a Jew from the tribe of Judah, His parents were Hebrew, and therefore Aramaic/Hebrew is the language He would have spoken.

Mark 5:41

“And taking the child by the hand He said to her, “Talitha, kumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”

Mark 7:33-35

“And taking him away from the crowd, He put His fingers in his ears, and having spit, He touched his tongue. And looking up to the heavens, He sighed, and said to him “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.”

Mathew 27:47

“And about the ninth hour YESHUA cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lamah shebaqtani? That is, “My El, My El, why have You forsaken Me?”

Acts 26:11-14

“And punished them often in all congregations, I compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities. While thus engaged, as I was journeying to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, at midday, O king, I saw a light from the heavens, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in THE HEBREW LANGUAGE, ‘Paul, Paul, why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the prods.”

Wikipedia adds:

YESHUA and his disciples primarily spoke Aramaic,[1][2] the common language of Judea in the first century AD, most likely a Galilean dialect distinguishable from that of Jerusalem.[3] This is generally agreed upon by historians. The villages of Nazareth and Capernaum in Galilee, where YESHUA spent most of his time, were Aramaic-speaking communities.[4] It is also likely that YESHUA knew enough Koine Greek to converse with those not native to Judea, and it is reasonable to assume that YESHUA was well versed in Hebrew for religious purposes.[5][6][7

As we see from the scriptures above is that YESHUA spoke both and why wouldn’t He able to speak all languages? He is the Son of YAHWEH and we see this in John.

John 7:15-16

“And the Jews were marveling, saying, “How does this Man know letters, not having learned? YESHUA answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.”

Paul and Peter spoke Aramaic/Hebrew

Mark 14:70

“And again he was denying it. And after a little while those who stood by again said to Peter, “Truly you are one of them, for you are a Galilean too, and your SPEECH (Aramaic) is alike.”

Mathew 26:73

“And after a while those who stood by came to him and said to Peter. “Truly you are one of them too, for even your SPEECH (Aramaic) gives you away.”

Acts 22:1-3

“Men, brothers, and fathers, hear my (Paul) defense before you now.” And when they heard that he spoke to them in the HEBREW LANGUAGE, they kept greater silence. And he said: I am indeed a Jew, having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamli’el, having been instructed according to the exactness of the Torah of our ancestors, being ardent (passionate) for ELOHIM, as you all are today…”

I pray this was an eye opener to show you that The Bible was written in Hebrew/Aramaic, YESHUA and the disciples spoke this language, the words you speak in prayer are Hebrew, and that words translated from Hebrew to another language does not have the same force in it because it begins to lose its original meaning; therefore, do not despise the Hebraic roots of your faith, but rather embrace it and walk in the footsteps of YESHUA as His disciples did. ELOHIM willing next week we can look into some etymology of some words in Hebrew.

What is a mezuzah? Do you need one?

Wikipedia says this:

Mezuzah Hebrew: מְזוּזָה "doorpost"; plural: מְזוּזוֹת mezuzot) comprises a piece of parchment called a klaf contained in a decorative case and inscribed with specific Hebrew verses from the Torah (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and 11:13-21). These verses consist of the Jewish prayer Shema Yisrael, beginning with the phrase: "Hear, O Israel,  YAHWEH (is) our ELOHIM, YAHWEH is One". In mainstream Rabbinic Judaism, a mezuzah is affixed to the doorpost of Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah (Biblical commandment) to "write the words of ELOHIM on the gates and doorposts of your house" (Deuteronomy 6:9). Some interpret Jewish law to require a mezuzah in every doorway in the home except bathrooms (which is not a living space), laundry rooms and closets, if they are too small to qualify as rooms. The klaf parchment is prepared by a qualified scribe ("sofer stam") who has undergone training, both in studying the relevant religious laws, and in the more practical parts i.e. carving the quill and practicing writing. The verses are written in black indelible ink with a special quill pen made either from a feather or, in what are now rare cases, a reed. The parchment is then rolled up and placed inside the case.

I know many will see the word “rabbinical Judaism” and say this is not something we should do. Just because “Judaism” does something doesn’t mean they are always wrong. They observe Shabbat from evening to evening which is correct in the same way everything Christianity does is not wrong, for example they understand concept of ELOHIM being Three different Persons, yet ONE ELOHIM! We will see in this article that Judaism’s concept of the mezuzah to literally be affixed onto our doorposts is a literal command for us to do.

YAHWEH  never wants us to forget His Words and all His commands so He always gave us physical reminders, for example:

Numbers 15:39-40

“And it shall be to you for a tsitsit, and you shall SEE IT, and shall REMEMBER all the Commands of YAHWEH and shall DO THEM, and not search after your own heart and your own eyes after which you went whoring, so that you REMEMBER, and shall do all My Commands, and be holy unto your ELOHIM.”

The word remember is the Hebrew word Zakar which means to recall, cause to be remembered, to mention, to remember. So as we see the tsitsit is a constant reminder that we see which reminds us to keep the commandments. Zakar is the same word used for us to “Remember or recall” The Shabbat Day so we never forget it.

Deuteronomy 27:1-3

“And Moses, with the elders of Yisra’el, commanded the people, saying, “Guard all the Commands which I am commanding you today. And it shall be, on the day when you pass over the Jordan to the land which YAHWEH your ELOHIM is giving you, that you shall put up for yourselves LARGE STONES, and plaster them with plaster, and WRITE on them all the Words of this Torah, when you have passed over, so that you go into the land which YAHWEH your ELOHIM is giving you, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey,’ as YAHWEH your ELOHIM of your ancestors has spoken to you.” Verse 8 “And you shall write all the Words of this Torah on the stones- PLAINLY AND WELL.”

This is another example of something physical that can be seen which reminded our ancestors to keep the commandments of the Torah on large stones written plainly and well for everyone to see. This example of the writing of stones reminds me of the Mezuzah we will be discussing. I reached out to “Hope-of-Israel.org” and they gave me permission to use their article titled “Message of the Mezuzah”, which I will be reading from in the next section. This article does an excellent job of looking into the history of the Mezuzah, early witnesses of the Mezuzah, and how they were found with the Dead Sea Scrolls.

According to Toby Janicki of First Fruits of Zion:

In these passages, the greater context includes all of the commandments as well as the faithfulness to teach and observe them. The word for "doorposts" in these passages is the word mezuzot, which in the singular form is Mezuzah. This word is first used in Exodus 12:7 in connection with the doorposts on which the blood was applied when the children of Israel fled from Egypt during the exodus.

From the earliest times, this commandment was observed by the Jewish [Israelite] people in both the literal sense and with the understanding that the Torah was to be taught in all of Israel's homes and cities. (Mezuzah, First Fruits of Zion, Marshfield, MO, 2013, p. 5.)

The Hebrew word mezuzah simply means doorpost; however, the doorpost of a house can be a sign of what a particular house epitomizes. In Biblical times, the doorpost of a house, due to its visibility to the outside world, represented the family’s values and was a place to show identity. The doorpost has such significance that YAHWEH ELOHIM commanded the blood of the first Passover Lamb to be applied to the mezuzah (doorpost) of each Israelite household -- notice!

Then Moshe (Moses) called for all the leaders of Israel and said, "Select and take lambs for your families, and slaughter the Pesach (Passover) lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop leaves and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and smear it on the two sides and top of the door-frame. Then, none of you is to go out the door of his house until morning." (Exodus 12:21-22)

The angel of destruction would see the blood on the doorpost and “pass over” that home, instead of destroying it.

For YAHWEH will pass through to kill the Egyptians; but when He sees the blood on the top and on the two sides, YAHWEH will pass over the door and will not allow the Slaughterer to enter your houses and kill you. (Exodus 12:23)

The blood of the lamb (YESHUA the Messiah) on the doorposts of our heart saves us from the wrath of YAHWEH ELOHIM.  By placing a mezuzah on the doorpost of our home, it gives witness to YAHWEH ELOHIM, to the world, and to the adversary that this is a home that serves the one true ELOHIM.

Early witnesses

One of the earliest known reports of mezuzah observance is found in Josephus’ Antiquities of the Jews. He writes:

They are also to inscribe the principal blessings they have received from ELOHIM upon their doors...that ELOHIM’s readiness to bless them may appear everywhere conspicuous about them. (Ant. iv. 8, § 13)

Josephus notes that mezuzah was, already in his time, an ANCIENT PRACTICE among the Israelites.

Notice what the Jewish Encyclopedia (1906) has to say regarding the history of the mezuzah --

The antiquity of the mezuzah is attested by Josephus (c. 37-100 C.E.), who speaks of its employment ("Ant." iv. 8, § 13) as an old and well-established custom. Inscribed with passages of the Torah which emphasize the UNITY of ELOHIM, His providence, and the resulting duty of man toward Him, the mezuzah is an emblematic representation of Israel's belief and practice. Thus Josephus says in speaking of the mezuzah (l.c.): "The greatest benefits of ELOHIM are to be written on the doors...in order that His benevolent providence may be made known everywhere"; and Maimonides adds ("Yad," Tefillin, vi. 13): "By the commandment of the mezuzah man is reminded, when coming or going, of the unity of ELOHIM, and is aroused to the love of Him. He is awakened from his slumber and his vain worldly thoughts to the knowledge that nothing endures in eternity like the knowledge of the Rock of the World. This contemplation brings him back to himself and leads him on the right path."

Probably the earliest written reference to the practice is found in the Letter of Aristeas from the 2nd-century B.C.:

And in like manner He has ordered us to put the divine oracles upon our gates and doors as a remembrance of ELOHIM. (Letter of Aristeas, p. 158-159.)

The Israelites were not the only ones to apply the commandment LITERALLY -- the Samaritans also did. They inscribed Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (and sometimes other texts such as the Ten Commandments and the priestly blessing) on STONE and attached them to, or place them near, their doorposts.

I would like to add that when I read this it automatically reminded me of the scripture I posted earlier about the Torah being written on stone:

Dead Sea Scrolls

Interestingly, I have been reading in a limited edition magazine titled “The Dead Sea Scrolls” which lists the discoveries from the Qumran Caves. So before I continue on with the article I would like to mention that the magazine mentions that from 1949-1956 that 11 caves were found that contained the Hebrew Scriptures dating from 250 BCE to 68 CE 40 %, Bible texts from the Second Temple Period (Including the Book of Enoch, Jubilees, the Book of Tobiyah, The Wisdom of Sirach, and Psalms 152-155 30% and writings of the Essenes 30%. Which is gives us further proof of the validity of the missing books and why we should read them. So there is evidence that Mezuzah’s were found in this discovery of ancient writings dating over 2,000 years ago. Cave 4 which was discovered in 1952 is known as the “mother lode” where 75% of the dig was in this cave.

Yale University Library adds:

Literary evidence from the Letter of Aristeas and Antiquities of the Jews, as well as archaeological evidence from Qumran (fragments of mezuzot have been identified at Qumran Cave 4 and designated Mezuzah A-G 4Q149-155), makes clear that mezuzot were in use during antiquity. The finding of phylacteries and mezuzot at Qumran prove that more than a century before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 C.E., some Jews were already observing these practices.

Back the article:

Archaeological digs at Qumran (where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found) have discovered various kinds of mezuzot (plural of mezuzah) dating back to the Second Temple era. The mezuzot found at Qumran had different Scriptures in them from those in use today. Some of them contained Exodus 13:1-4, and others contained Exodus 13:11-16. According to Toby Janicki:

A total of eight mezuzot were found. Seven of these were in Cave 4 and one in Cave 8. The parchments themselves were made of animal skins and consisted of neatly cut pieces. The Hebrew script was the same size as other biblical manuscripts [found at Qumran], and the writing appears only on one side, as is seen today in traditional practice. The mezuzot parchments contained margins, spacing and layout conforming with rabbinical stipulations of the period. (Mezuzah, First Fruits of Zion, Marshfield, MO, 2013, p. 27.)

When the archaeologists studied the parchments they found that they contained the rabbinically required passages of Deuteronomy 6:4-6 and 11:13-21, as well as additional verses such as the Exodus 20 passage of the Ten Commandments. This may have been included in the original rabbinical practice of the time. When the Temple stood, the Ten Commandments were recited in conjunction with the daily Shema. It has been speculated that this may also reflect the rabbinic idea that "the Ten Commandments themselves are the very essence of the Shema." (y.Berachot 12b-13a)

Another example of the combination of the Shema and the Decalogue is the Nash Papyrus. This fragment was found in Egypt and possibly dates as early as the Maccabean Period (165-137 BCE). On this papyrus is found the Hebrew text of Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 6:4-5. The combination of these texts has led most scholars to speculate that it is some form of a liturgical text, and some scholars even conclude that it could have been a mezuzah. (ibid., p. 28)

Adds Biblical scholar Jeffery Tigay, "It is certain that Deuteronomy 6:9 means literally to ordain the writing of ELOHIM's instructions on the doorposts and city gates" (The JPS Torah Commentary: Deuteronomy, Jewish Publication Society, New York, NY, 1996, p. 443) The evidence, therefore, indicates that the words of the Torah were originally written on the doorposts and gates.

Inside the Mezuzah?

The case is not the mezuzah so the important part is the scroll that is contained inside of it.

Inside each mezuzah of Jewish origin is a rectangular piece of parchment called a klaf, which is made from a specially prepared skin of a Biblically clean (kosher) animal. The klaf (skin) is scribed with Hebrew lettering from key scriptures found in the Word of YAHWEH ELOHIM -- namely Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and Deuteronomy 11:13-21. The following verses contain the Shema and the commandment regarding the mezuzah:

 Hear, O Israel: YAHWEH our ELOHIM, YAHWEH is one! You shall love YAHWEH your ELOHIM with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up....You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:4-7, 9,)

You shall teach them [YAHWEH's Commandments] to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.... (Deuteronomy 11:19-20, ibid.)

The tiny scroll is then rolled up with the Scripture facing inward and placed in the container.

I pray this was helpful to getting you to see that the mezuzah is a literal command for us to apply in our lives today, and another way to be obedient to our Father YAHWEH! I bought mine about two or three years ago from mezuzahstore.com, wherever you buy it from just make sure it does not have the star of david on it, because we know it’s a hexagram.

Circumcision

The topic of circumcision is another unpopular topic that many disagree on and many believers today feel that it something that no longer is required of followers of YESHUA. We will discuss the importance of circumcision the eternal covenant, who was circumcised, can you be circumcised after the 8th day, and the circumcision of the heart.

We must never forget the words of YESHUA in Mathew 5:17-18

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. For truly, I say to you, till the heavens and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.”

When does heaven and earth pass away?

Revelation 21;1-2

“And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, John, saw the holy city, renewed Jerusalem, coming down out of the heavens from ELOHIM, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

We know that none of this has occurred yet; therefore, the commandments still apply to us today. Furthermore, the Torah will be kept when YESHUA reigns for 1,000 years see: (Isaiah 2 and Micah 4:1-8).Understanding His Words helps us to know that YESHUA did not abolish any laws, but only came to show us how to walk in them as He did; and to show us that they are holy and good. I will show that obeying YAHWEH’s command of circumcision is both physically and of the heart.

YESHUA, John the Baptist, Isaac, and Paul circumcised on 8th day

We already read from Mathew 5:17 from YESHUA Himself that the Torah is not done away with, which would make sense that He would be circumcised Himself.

Luke 2:21

“And when eight days were completed for Him to be circumcised, His Name was called YESHUA, the Name given by the messenger before He was conceived in the womb.”

Luke 1:59-60

“And it came to be, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child. And they were calling him by the name of his dad, Zekaryah. And his mother answering, said, “Not so, but he shall be called John.”

Genesis 21:4

“And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as ELOHIM had commanded him.”

And yes Paul, the one who many point to saying not to get circumcised was circumcised on the 8th day.

Philippians 3:3-5

“For we are the circumcision, who are serving ELOHIM in the Spirit, and boasting in Messiah YESHUA, and do not trust in the flesh, though I too might have trust in the flesh. If anyone else thinks to trust in the flesh, I more-circumcised on the eighth day, of the race of Yisra’el, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, according to Torah a Pharisee…”

Leviticus 12:3

“And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin is circumcised.”

Eternal Covenant made with Abraham

Genesis 17:10-14

“This is My Covenant which you guard between Me and you, AND YOUR SEED AFTER YOU: EVERY MALE CHILD among you is to be circumcised. And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall become a SIGN of the Covenant between Me and you. And a son of eight days (Leviticus 12:3) is circumcised by you, EVERY MALE CHILD IN YOUR GENERATIONS, he who is born in your house or bought with silver from any foreigner who is NOT OF YOUR SEED. He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your silver, has to be circumcised. So shall My Covenant be in your flesh, for an EVERLASTING COVENANT. And an UNCIRCUMCISED male child, who is NOT circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, his life shall be cut off from his people-he has broken My Covenant.”

Notice how YAHWEH says that circumcision is an everlasting covenant and that it is a sign of His covenant in your flesh. He also says that every male must be circumcised even the foreigner (gentile) who was bought with silver.

Genesis 17:23-27

“And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all those born in his house and all those bought with his silver, EVERY MALE among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that same day, as ELOHIM told him. And Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Abraham and his son Ishmael were circumcised that same day. And all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with silver from a FOREIGNER, were circumcised with him.”

If circumcision wasn’t a big deal, YAHWEH would have told Abraham not to be circumcised and to wait to start with his son Isaac. However, we see Abraham was 99 years and old, Ishmael was 13 and the men of his house (meaning adults) were all circumcised that same day. And we know that YAHWEH established is covenant with Isaac who was circumcised on the 8th day and not Ishmael. We see that Abraham’s faith brought for obedience to His commands he did not remain uncircumcised.

Jubilees 15:25-32

This Torah is FOR ALL GENERATIONS FOREVER, and there is no circumcising of days (not a single day should be cut off or removed) and no omission of one day out of the eight days; for it is an ETERNAL ORDINANCE, ordained and written on the heavenly tablets. And everyone that is born, the flesh of whose foreskin is not circumcised on the eighth day, does not belong to the children of the covenant which YAHWEH cut with Abraham, but to the children of destruction; nor is there, moreover, any sign on him that he is YAHWEH’s, but is destined to be destroyed and killed from the earth, and to be uprooted from the earth, for he has broken the covenant of YAHWEH our ELOHIM. For all the messengers of the presence and all the messengers of holiness have been created this way from the day of their creation (The angels were created already circumcised) and before the messengers of the presence and the messengers of holiness He has set Yisra’el apart, that they should be with Him and with His holy messengers. And command the children of Yisra’el and let them guard the sign of this covenant for their generations as an eternal ordinance, and they will not be uprooted from the land. For the command is ordained for a covenant, that they should guard it FOREVER among all the children of Yisra’el. For YAHWEH did not draw Ishmael and his sons and his brothers and Esaw, and He did not choose them, because they are the children of Abraham, because He knew them, but He chose Yisra’el to be His people. And He set it apart, and gathered it from all the children of men; for there are many nations and many peoples, and all are His, and He has placed spirits in authority to lead them astray from Him. But over Yisra’el He did not appoint any messenger or spirit, for He alone is their ruler, and He will preserve them and require them at the hand of His messengers and His spirits, and at the hand of all His powers in order that He may preserve them and bless them, and that they may be His and He may be theirs from now on and forever.”

Prophecy of Future Apostasy (Modern day believers from what Christianity teaches)

Jubilees 15:33-34

“And now I announce to you that the children of Yisra’el will DENY this ordinance (As Christianity has done), and they will NOT circumcise their sons according to all this Torah; for in the flesh of their circumcision they will omit this circumcision of their sons, and all of them, sons of Beliyya’al, will leave their sons UNCIRCUMCISED as they were BORN. And there will be great wrath from YAHWEH against the children of Yisra’el. Because they have forsaken His covenant and turned aside from His word, and provoked and blasphemed; inasmuch as they do not guard the ordinance of this Torah. For they have treated their members like the nations (gentiles), so that they may be removed and uprooted from the land. And there will no more be pardon or forgiveness to them, for all the sin of the ETERNAL ERROR.”

Can you be circumcised after the 8th day?

As always, I say to take everything to our Father YAHWEH in prayer and see what He tells you, because your situation may have been different and only He knows this. Our ELOHIM is merciful which is why He sent His Son YESHUA to die for us. I personally believe that we should do everything according to the word of YAHWEH and His instructions, but I’m sure many will want to know what happens if they didn’t know better or their parents neglected to circumcise them as children, or they found out this information after coming into the faith. This would more than likely be the part where ELOHIM’s grace and mercy comes in, but again please take it to Him in prayer, I can only go what the word states and I can provide a few examples of this happening after the 8th Day, but I’m not the judge.

We have read from multiple scriptures the importance of being circumcised on the 8th day, but Jubilees 15:33 says that they will leave their sons uncircumcised as the day they were born, so it’s definitely not right to remain uncircumcised. We read that Abraham was circumcised when he was 99, Ishmael was 13, and the adult men in Abraham’s house were circumcised. The only two example’s I can think of is Timothy and those with Joshua after crossing the Jordan:

Acts 16:1-3

“And he came to Derbe and Lustra. And see, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed but his dad was a Greek-who was well spoken of by the brothers who were at Lustra and Ikonion. Paul wanted to have this one go with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his dad was Greek.”

So Timothy was half Jew and half Greek and yet he was still circumcised by Paul. And most scholars say that Timothy was somewhere between 17 and 30 years old meaning he wasn’t circumcised on the 8th day, because his Greek dad did not allow it; however, he was still circumcised. This is an example that we will see when we discuss Acts 15 as all the gentile converts were adults.

Joshua 5:7-10 (Parenthesis mine)

“And Joshua circumcised their sons whom He raised up in their place; for they were uncircumcised, because they had not been circumcised on the way (in the wilderness). And it came to be, when they had completed circumcising ALL the nation, that they stayed in their places in the camp till they were healed.”

This would mean that many of them who were born in the wilderness were adults, being that they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years and then they were circumcised by Joshua. Men, boys, and children were circumcised that day and it was so many of them that Joshua 5:3 says “So Joshua made knives of flint for himself, and circumcised the sons of Yisra’el at the Hill of Foreskins.” We also have to remember that the gentiles who were grafted in were traveling with the native-born and one example of this is Kaleb son of Yephunnah the Kezzinite.

Exodus 12:37-38

“And the children of Yisra’el departed from Ramses to Sukkoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides the little ones. And a MIXED MULTITUDE (gentiles) went up with them too, also flocks and herds, very much livestock.”

Numbers 11:4

“And the MIXED MULTITUDE who were in their midst lusted greatly, so the children of Yisra’el also wept again and said, “Who is giving us meat to eat?”

Romans 4:11-13

“And he (Abraham) received the sign of circumcision (Genesis 17), a seal of the righteousness of the belief in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be reckoned to them also, and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the belief which our father Abraham had in uncircumcision.”

Abraham was righteous through his faith without being circumcised, but his faith led to obedience to be circumcised at 99 years old when YAHWEH made the covenant with him, which is why Paul says righteousness in obedience through uncircumcision. However, that righteousness would be reckoned to those who follow his example, by the uncircumcised gentiles who will be following Abraham’s example of faith leading to obedience to be circumcised. Which is why Paul says he would be a father of all those believing through uncircumcision, because he believed before being circumcised, and the end result was that he got circumcised. We know that the gentiles are grafted in as part of the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:27) therefore, he is your model and example to follow.

Romans 3:31

“Do we then nullify the Torah through the faith? LET IT NOT BE! On the contrary, we establish the Torah.” As we see Abraham’s faith did not nullify the Torah and the same concept applies today.

What about Acts 15?

What was said that got the new converts stirred up and worried?

Acts 15:1

“And certain men came down from Judah and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised, according to the practice of Moses, you are unable to be saved.”

Firstly, these Pharisees were preaching a works only doctrine, they already did not believe in YESHUA. So they said unless that you are circumcised you cannot be saved! But the question is when does one commandment save us alone? We are saved by the blood atonement of YESHUA! We don’t earn salvation by keeping the commandments, but we keep the commandments through obedience by our faith in YESHUA. And keeping the commandments is how we LOVE and KNOW Him! As I’ve heard it said we don’t keep the commandments to be saved, we keep them because we are saved.

John 14:21

“He who possesses My Commands and guards them, it is he who LOVES Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

1 John 5:3

“For this is the LOVE for YAHWEH, that we guard His Commands, and His Commands are not burdensome…”

1 John 2:3-4

“And by this, we know that we KNOW Him, if we guard His Commands. The one who says, “I KNOW Him,” and does not guard His Commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

This is why we keep the commands out of obedience or as Paul says:

Romans 1:5

“Through whom we have received favor and office of the emissary for BELIEF-OBEDIENCE among all the nations on behalf of His Name…”

Romans 16:25-26

“And to Him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of YESHUA HA’MASHIACH, according to the revelation of the secret which has kept silent since times of old, but now has been made manifest, and by Scripture of prophecy has been made known to ALL NATIONS, according to the Command of the everlasting ELOHIM, for BELIEF-OBEDIENCE.”

Your faith in YESHUA should produce obedience to His Commandments.

Acts 15:2

“So when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they arranged for Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them to go up to Jerusalem to the emissaries and elders, about this question.”

So we see the question is presented at the Jerusalem Council and we will see that James the half-brother of YESHUA who was the head of the Council says in verse 19:

“Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the gentiles who are turning to ELOHIM, but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood.”

James is saying that the Pharisees were trying to put too much on the gentile converts at one time. They were just now turning to ELOHIM and they were needing the milk and not the meat. Let them develop their faith in YESHUA and let them immediately turn away from defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood, if they want to join in with the believers. By thinking this is the only things that gentile converts have to do means they are permitted to commit adultery, murder, dishonor parents, bear false witness and covet because they were not mentioned right? False! This was a basis that the gentile converts had to start with immediately and verse 21 is critical to understanding this passage:

“For from ancient generations Moses (Torah) has, in EVERY CITY, those proclaiming him-being read in the congregations every Shabbat.”

The Torah was taught in congregations in every city on the Shabbat. So the gentile converts will still have a chance to learn and grow on every Shabbat and hear the laws and commands of YAHWEH and to perform them as they grew stronger in the Word and faith. These new converts were already attending Shabbat to learn as we read in Acts 13:42

“And when the Jews went out of the congregation, the gentiles begged to have these words spoken to them the next Shabbat.” Verse 44 “And on the next Sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the Word of YAHWEH.” Verse 46 “But speaking boldly, Paul and Barambah said, “It was necessary that the Word of ELOHIM should be spoken to you first (native-born), but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, see we turn to the gentiles.”

So as we can see the gentiles attended the congregations on the Shabbat to hear the Word of YAHWEH; therefore, they would have time to get acclimated with the ways of YAHWEH through the disciples. You give a baby milk before you give him meat, a baby must crawl before they walk. Nowhere in the chapter does anyone conclude that circumcision would not apply to the gentiles converts.

Gentiles had to be circumcised like native-born to eat Passover

Exodus 12:42-49

“It is a night to be observed unto YAHWEH for bringing them out of the land of Egypt. This night is unto YAHWEH, to be observed by all the children of Yisra’el throughout their generations.” And YAHWEH said to Moses and Aaron, “This is a Law of the Passover: No son of a stranger (Nekar) is to eat of it, but any servant a man has brought for silver, when you have circumcised him, then let him eat of it. A sojourner and a hired servant does not eat of it. It is eaten in one house, you are not to take any of the flesh outside the house, nor are you to break any bone of it. All the congregation of Yisra’el are to perform it. And when a stranger sojourns with you (Ger) and shall perform the Pesach to YAHWEH, let all his males be circumcised, AND THEN let him come near and perform it, and he shall be as a native of the land. But let NO UNCIRCUMCISED eat of it.”

Joshua 5:7-10 (Parenthesis mine)

“And Joshua circumcised their sons whom He raised up in their place; for they were uncircumcised, because they had not been circumcised on the way (in the wilderness). And it came to be, when they had completed circumcising ALL the nation, that they stayed in their places in the camp till they were healed. And YAHWEH said to Joshua, ‘Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the name of the place is called Gigal to this day. And the children of Yisra’el camped in Gilgal, and performed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening on the deserts plains of Jericho.”

Numbers 14:33-38

“And your sons shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whorings, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness. According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days-a day for a year, a day for a year-you are to bear your wickedness forty years, and you shall know My breaking off. I am YAHWEH, I have spoken, I shall do this to all this evil congregation who are meeting against Me: In the wilderness they are consumed, and there they die. And the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing an evil report of the land, even those men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before YAHWEH. Of those men who went to spy out the land, only Joshua son of Nun, Kaleb son of Yephunneh remained alive.”

So here we see that those who rebelled against YAHWEH in the wilderness were cut off as they wandered for 40 years and would not enter into the Promised Land, but the children who were born to them in the wilderness were not yet circumcised. So notice that after Joshua circumcised them that they were allowed to eat the Passover four days later? That’s because no uncircumcised can eat Passover as YAHWEH commanded in Exodus 12.

It’s also about circumcision of the heart

I believe YAHWEH wants us to be physically circumcised as it is a part of the eternal covenant of His covenant in our flesh, but also to be circumcised of the heart.

Ezekiel 44:7-9

“That you brought in sons of a foreigner, uncircumcised in heart AND uncircumcised in the flesh, to be in My Sanctuary to profane it, My House! That you brought near My food, the fat and the blood, and you broke My Covenant because all of your abominations. And you did not guard the charge of that which is holy to Me, but you have put others to guard the charge of My Sanctuary for you.” ‘Thus said the Adon YAHWEH, “No son of a foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in the flesh, comes into My Sanctuary, even any son of a foreigner who is among the children of Yisra’el.”

Deuteronomy 10:16

“And you shall circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and harden your neck no more.”

Jeremiah 4:4

“Circumcise yourselves unto YAHWEH, and take away the foreskins of your hearts, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My wrath come forth like fire and burn, with none to quench it, because of the evil of your deeds.”

Acts 7:51

“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the RUACH HA’KODESH (The Holy Spirit), as your ancestors did, you also do.”

Jubilees 1:23

“And after this they shall turn to Me in all uprightness and with all their heart and with all their being, and I shall circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart of their seed, and I shall create in them a holy spirit, and I shall cleanse them so that they shall not turn away from Me from that day unto eternity.”

I just want to say that I don’t believe that Paul preached against circumcision, I believe that many have misunderstood him. But even if he did, we know that Mathew 18:16 and even Paul himself says this in 2 Corinthians 13:1 “At the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” Just something to think about for all who point to Paul’s letters to say he did away with something, which I don’t believe he did. Even if Paul was preaching lawlessness you must present another witness to align with his words to form a sound doctrine and you will not find it.

Do not remarry while your ex-wife or husband is living!

The topic of marriage and divorce is not a popular topic by any means because no one wants to be alone, and I can understand that. But truly, we are never alone because we are married to YESHUA, He is our husband and we are the bride. The issue of whether you can remarry after you have gotten divorced is a topic that many disagree on. I have already done a video on this in the 10 commandment series, but I felt it necessary to add a few other things to prayerfully make things clearer. We will discuss whether you can marry another spouse after you are divorced (divorce and remarriage), can you go back to your first husband or wife after you have left the second marriage, engagement/betrothal, and the importance of marital vows.

Marriage is binding as long as your spouse is alive!

Once you are married you have become “one flesh” with your husband or wife, and many believe that just because they got divorced that it dissolves the “one flesh” union of that marriage, and that they are free to marry another spouse.

Malachi 2:14-16

“And you said, “Why”? Because YAHWEH has been witness between you and the WIFE of your youth, against whom you have acted treacherously, though she is your companion and the WIFE OF YOUR COVENANT. And did he not make one? And He had the remnant of the Spirit? And what is the one? He seeks a seed of ELOHIM. So you shall guard your spirit, and let none act treacherously against the wife of his youth. For I HATE DIVORCE,” said YAHWEH ELOHIM of Yisra’el, “and the one who covers his garment with cruelty,” said YAHWEH of hosts.”

Notice how YAHWEH says through Malachi that she is the WIFE OF YOUR COVENANT? This means that marriage is a covenant between you and YAHWEH. And what is expected when a covenant is made?

Hebrews 9:16-17

“For where a COVENANT IS, it is necessary for the DEATH OF THE COVENANTED ONE TO BE ESTABLISHED. For a covenant over those DEAD IS FIRM, since it is never valid while the COVENANTED ONE IS LIVING.”

We know a covenant has been made during a marriage; therefore, this principal can applied here. So in order for a covenant to cease means that there has to be a death, so if you are married to the husband or wife of your covenant that means that you are bound until your spouse dies, because you cannot remarry another while the other spouse is living. Once there is a death you are freed from the Torah to remarry another.

Proverbs 2:17

“Who forsakes the companion of her youth (covenant spouse), and has forgotten the COVENANT of your ELOHIM.”

1 Corinthians 7:10

“And to the married I command, NOT I, but the ADON (YESHUA): a wife SHOULD NOT separate from a husband. But if she is indeed separated, let her remain UNMARRIED or be restored to favor with her husband, and let a husband NOT SEND AWAY A WIFE.”

 Paul says this command is from YESHUA and not himself that a wife should not separate from her husband, but if she leaves him then she CANNOT remarry and that a man should NOT divorce his wife. But if she works things out with her husband then she will be restored back to him. You cannot leave the marriage and go marry another person because it literally is “Till death do you part!” Married couples are bound by the Torah as long as their spouse is alive. Further proof of this is in:

1 Corinthians 7:39

“A wife is BOUND by Torah as long as HER HUSBAND LIVES, and if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she desires, only in the ADON.”

I just want to point out that after the husband dies, Paul says marry another only in the Adon YESHUA meaning that they would have to be a believer. As we already know that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

Romans 7:1-3

“Or do you not know, brothers-for I speak to those knowing the Torah-that the Torah rules over man as long as he lives? For the married woman has been bound by Torah to the LIVING HUSBAND, but if the husband dies, she is released from the Torah of her husband. So then, while her husband lives, she shall be called an adulteress if she becomes another man’s. But if her husband dies, she is free from that Torah, so that she is not an adulteress, having become another man’s.

Sirach 23:22-27

“So it shall also be for the wife that leaves her husband, and brings forth an heir by another. For firstly, she has disobeyed the Law of the Most High (separating/divorcing her husband who is STILL LIVING based off the scriptures above); and secondly, she has trespassed against her own husband; and thirdly, she has committed whoring by ADULTERY, and brought forth children by another man. She shall be brought out in to the assembly, and inquiry shall be made of her children. Her children shall not take root, and her branches shall not bring forth fruit. She shall leave a cursed remembrance, and her reproach shall NOT BE BLOTTED OUT.”

Jubilees 33:15

“And let them not say, “to Rueben was granted life and forgiveness after he had lain with his dad’s concubine, and to her also though she had a husband, and her HUSBAND JACOB, HIS DAD, WAS SILL ALIVE.”

Tobiyah 3:7-8

“It came to be the same day, that in Ahmetha a city of Madai, Sarah the daughter of Raguel was also reproached by her dad’s female servants; because she had been married to seven husbands, whom Ashmedai the evil spirit killed before they had lain with her. “Do you not know,” they said (female servants), “that you have strangled your husbands? You have already had seven husbands, neither were you named after any of them..” verse 17 Raphael was sent to heal them both, that is, to scale away the whiteness of Tobiyah’s eyes and to give Sarah the daughter of Raguel AS A WIFE to Tobi the son of Tobiyah…”

So this woman named Sarah had 7 husbands but all of them died because of an evil spirit and she was able to remarry ONLY after the deaths of her husband’s which released her from the Torah. So she was given to the righteous Tobiyah’s son named Tobi.

There are multiple witnesses showing us that you cannot marry another spouse while your previous husband or wife is still living. To put this in perspective, if someone got divorced four times while their spouse was still living, you are still married to your first wife in the eyes of YAHWEH and living in active adultery. If this is you, please repent because this is a serious issue.

1 Corinthians 6:9

“Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the reign of ELOHIM? Do not be deceived. Neither those who whore, nor idolaters, nor ADULTERERS, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals…”

What about Deuteronomy 24?

I know that there are many quote this scripture to justify divorce and remarriage, but let’s take a look at the scripture to see what it says.

Deuteronomy 24:1-5

“When a man takes a wife and shall marry her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found a MATTER OF SHAMEFULNESS in her, and he shall write her a certificate of divorce, and put it in her hand and send her out of his house, and IF she left his house and went and became another man’s wife, and the latter husband shall hate her and write her a certificate of divorce, and put it in her hand and send her out of the house, or when the latter husband dies who took her to be his wife, then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her back to be his wife after she has been defiled, for that would be an abomination before YAHWEH.”

 Many translations say that after the man has put the certificate of divorce in her hand that “she may go and marry another man” but the correct translation as written in HalleYAH Scriptures and the Septuagint is “IF” she married another man when she left his house. She was never given permission to marry another man because that would completely contradict the fact that you are NOT ALLOWED to marry anyone else why your husband or wife is still ALIVE. The “IF” is critical to understanding that she chose to disobey the commandment of YAHWEH by remaining unmarried, but chose to marry another man which is why she cannot go back to the first husband because she has been defiled through adultery.

YESHUA’S words on divorce

YESHUA is the Written Word that became Living Flesh, He is the Living Torah and magnified the Law. And we know that in John 12:49 YESHUA says “Because I spoke not from Myself, but the Father who sent Me has given Me a Command, what I should say and what I should speak.”  So, He is speaking the Words of YAHWEH and cleared up any misunderstandings we may have had on the topic of divorce from YAHWEH Himself spoken by His Son. Firstly, a man will leave his dad and mother and cling to his wife and the two shall become ONE flesh. So they are supposed to be one spiritually, one family, and love each other as their own being.

Genesis 2:23

“And the man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. This one is called ‘woman’, because she was taken out of man.” For this cause a man shall leave his dad and mom, and join unto his wife, and they shall become one flesh.’

Mathew 19:5-6

“For this cause a man shall leave his dad and mother and join unto his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what ELOHIM has joined together, let man not separate.

Marriage is supposed to be a holy union between man and woman as they have made a vow before YAHWEH. They are to be ONE flesh, which is why YESHUA says LET NO MAN (court judges too) separate what ELOHIM has joined together. Couples will go to a church to get married making a vow before ELOHIM, then run to the courts of man to divorce them for any reason. The courts do not uphold the law of YAHWEH. YESHUA said "have you not read..?" He was saying that they should have already known the answer to that question if they had only read about it in Genesis. YESHUA points out that the plan for YAHWEH between man and woman is to be one flesh from the very beginning.

Mathew 5:31-32 (Parenthesis mine)

“And it has been said, ‘Whoever puts away his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. But I say to you that whoever puts away (divorces) his wife, except for the matter of whoring makes her commit adultery. AND (in addition to) whoever marries a woman who has been put away commits adultery.”

YESHUA says that whoever marries a woman who has been divorced commits adultery. This means that the new man (third party) who marries the divorced woman commits adultery, why? Because he has married someone that does not legally belong to him, she is still married to her first husband in the eyes of YESHUA and that union is still intact, which shows us that divorce and remarriage is adultery. Her husband is still alive and therefore they are still “One flesh” through the marriage. If you do divorce your spouse because of adultery then you are still to remain UNMARRIED! YESHUA doesn’t grant the innocent member of the marriage the rights to marry someone else just because the other spouse did the cheating. “Till death do you part” is a literally thing for both the husband and wife.

. YESHUA is saying Mathew 19:7-9

“They said to Him, “Why then did Moses COMMAND to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away? He said to them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts, Moses ALLOWED you to put away your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you, whoever puts away his wife, EXCEPT on the grounds of whoring, and marries another commits adultery. And whoever marries her who has been put away commits adultery.’

Mark 10:11-12 (Parenthesis mine)

“And He said to them, “Whoever puts away his wife and marries another commits adultery against HER (The first covenant wife, because he is still married to her). And if a woman puts away her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

I wanted to note that sexual immorality is one of definitions included in the Greek word “Porneia” #G4202 and sexual immorality includes adultery. The concordance has several definitions for Porneia, but I want focus on the definition that says plainly “SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH A DIVORCED MAN OR WOMAN” and the concordance references this scripture from Mark. Which is exactly what YESHUA was saying in all of these scriptures, that he who divorces his wife and marries another commits porneia (adultery) because that are having sexual relations with a divorced man or woman.

Luke 16:18

“Everyone divorcing his wife and marrying another commits adultery. And everyone marrying her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.”

It’s interesting to note that the accounts of Mark and Luke both do NOT mention “except for whoring or fornication.” Their accounts both say who ever divorces their wife and marries another commits adultery.

Never does YESHUA say that you can remarry another spouse! He is saying that you can divorce her due to her marital unfaithfulness which I believe is during the engagement/betrothal stage which we will be discussing a little later.  Regardless if YESHUA is referring to engagement or the consummated marriage He never gives an allowance of remarriage to another. YESHUA clearly says that anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. If you divorce her due to her unfaithfulness and you both remain unmarried then you can reconcile and come back to each other. ELOHIM still doesn’t want to see divorce at all, so do what you can to reconcile the marriage and do not marry another by defiling yourselves. Look at the wording the Pharisees used, they said Moses commanded! Then YESHUA said “allowed” meaning tolerated or put up with it due to the hardness of men’s hearts.

Mathew 19:10

“His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is good not to marry.” And He said to them, “NOT ALL RECEIVE THIS WORD, but only those to whom it has been given…”

YESHUA’s teaching on divorce was so difficult to accept that even His disciples couldn’t handle it, they thought it was better not to get married. YESHUA’s teaching, Who was only speaking the words of His Father YAHWEH, went against everything they thought was true, which is what is happening today. YESHUA says that “not all will receive the message” and this holds true to this very day. YESHUA was pointing mankind back to the model of Adam and Eve being “one flesh.”

YAHWEH gave us the perfect example!

YAHWEH married Yisra’el at Sinai and exchanged vows in Exodus 19:5-6:

“And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My Covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples-for all the earth is Mine-and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a holy nation.’ Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’el.”

Jeremiah 31:33

“Not like the Covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My Covenant which they broke, though I was a HUSBAND to them,” declares YAHWEH.”

Notice in verse 32 YAHWEH says He was a “Husband”? Therefore, Yisra’el was His wife! But due to their unfaithfulness to YAHWEH He divorced them in:

 Jeremiah 3:7-8

“And after she had done all these, I said ‘Return to Me.’ But she did not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. And I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Yisra’el had committed ADULTERY, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not reverence, but went and committed whoring too.”    

Even in verse 7 she (Yisra’el) was unfaithful to Him (YAHWEH) by committing adultery and He did not immediately divorce her, but told her to “come back to Me”. That is love beyond comprehension and not responding with the “hardness of heart”. YAHWEH gave her a chance and was willing to forgive the unfaithful act; but humans are less forgiving and immediately seek a divorce. Humans see unfaithfulness and are ready to divorce, because they feel betrayed and rightly so, nobody wants to be cheated on because you wonder if you could ever trust that person again.

Even though YAHWEH was angry with Yisra’el He showed love despite her adultery and wanted to reconcile with her, but when He saw that Yisra’el continued in rebellion and would not turn back then He wrote her a certificate of divorce and she continued with her many lovers and Judah saw it and did worse than Yisra’el.

YAHWEH gave us the perfect example of what He expects in Genesis that two become one flesh and YESHUA restated it. YAHWEH illustrated how Yisra’el his wife was unfaithful to Him and He divorces her but NEVER married anyone else. He did not choose another wife or chosen people, YAHWEH could have replaced Yisra’el with the Philistines as His wife/chosen people but He did not. He remained unmarried, meaning that Yisra’el was always His chosen people/wife. He chose to die through His Son YESHUA becoming a “New Man” and then He went back to THE SAME BRIDE which is Yisra’el and not a new bride or new people. YAHWEH never gave up on His bride and through YESHUA this established the Renewed Covenant where He becomes our High Priest, our Mediator, and The Holy Spirit poured out so that we can keep His commandments and do them.

 This is the key because most people will divorce their spouse and marry someone NEW, YAHWEH divorced Yisra’el His wife and went back to her,what better example can there be but following in the footsteps of the Creator Himself?

We read that the spouses of the marriage are bound by the Torah as long as the other spouse is LIVING even after divorce! So our ELOHIM took it up Himself by sending His Son YESHUA to die releasing Him from the Torah and becoming a New Man so He could remarry Yisra’el. It was “until death do you part” in His eyes and by doing this He would not violate His own word.

Can you go back to your first husband or wife after you married another?

Deuteronomy 24:1-5

Another thing that is important to mention is that may translations say that after the man has put the certificate of divorce in her hand that “she may go and marry another man” but the correct translation is “IF” she married another man. She was never given permission to marry another man because that would completely contradict the fact that you are NOT ALLOWED to marry anyone else why your husband or wife is still ALIVE as we discussed in the introduction.

Jeremiah 3:1-3

“If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him and becomes another man’s does he return to her again? Would not that land be made greatly unclean? But you have committed whoring with many lovers. And would you return to Me? declares YAHWEH.”

Notice the first thing that YAHWEH says in verse 1? If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him and becomes another man’s does he return to her again?  YAHWEH is clearly stating that you cannot marry someone else and then come back to your first spouse because that would be an abomination just as He states in Deuteronomy 24, He would not violate on His own Torah.

 The matter of shamefulness would be adultery for all the reasons we mentioned above because it is “Until death do you part.” As we see from the letter of Paul to Corinth; and in Romans is that a woman is to remained UNMARRIED, unless she finds favor with her husband again. That way if they work things out while they are separated then they can REJOIN without being defiled and committing adultery.

However, we know that most people will begin having sexual relations while being SEPARATED which means that they are committing adultery; or if they get divorced they will marry someone else while their spouse is still living and it makes them commit adultery, why? Because they are still married to their first husband or wife in the eyes of YAHWEH!

As we read in Deuteronomy 24 the woman after being divorced from her first husband married another man, although she is bound by the Torah as long as her husband lives which made her an adulteress. This is why she cannot go back to her first husband because she has been DEFILED through adultery, and if that first husband took her back then he commits adultery and this is an abomination to YAHWEH! Remember one of the definition of Porneia is sexual relations with a divorced man or woman and that is exactly what happened in this scripture.

Wasn’t Joseph about to divorce Mary?

Deuteronomy 22:23

“When a girl who is a virgin is ENGAGED TO HER HUSBAND, and a man finds her in the city and lies with her…”

YAHWEH shows us that when you are engaged you are still technically married; and this is the example that we see with Joseph and Mary.

Mathew 1:18-20

“And the birth of YESHUA ha’Mashiach was as follows: After His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, BEFORE THEY CAME TOGETHER (sexually), she was found to be pregnant from the Ruach ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit). And Joseph her husband being righteous, and not wanting to make a show of her, had in mind to put her away secretly. But while he thought about this, see, a messenger (angel) of YAHWEH appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that which is in her was brought forth from the Holy Spirit.”

As we see, Joseph was engaged to Mary, yet he was still called her husband. This shows that times have changed in our modern day society versus what the Bible says. Engagements are not taken as seriously in our Western society as they were in Biblical times; and we see unfaithfulness was the reason Joseph thought about putting away his engaged wife during the betrothal/engagement stage. I personally believe that if Joseph and Mary had the wedding and consummated the marriage then it would be until death do you part. This seems to make the most sense when we revisit the words of YESHUA in Mathew 19:7-9 which is the only example we are really given in the New Testament.

Mathew 19:7-9

“They said to Him, “Why then did Moses COMMAND to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away? He said to them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts, Moses ALLOWED you to put away your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you, whoever puts away his wife, EXCEPT on the grounds of whoring (betrothal), and marries another commits adultery. And whoever marries her who has been put away commits adultery.’

Engagement/betrothed

As explained earlier Joseph and Mary were betrothed, meaning they were pledged to be married meaning they were engaged to each other, even though they had not yet lived together as husband and wife. In Hebrew culture the steps of betrothal involved two families in a formal contract, and that contract was as binding as marriage itself. Some would say it was almost like a business transaction that included the “dowry” which is the bride price, which would be repaid IF the engagement was broken (Which is what would have happened with Joseph and Mary). After the betrothal stage was the wedding celebration, the bridge moves in to the house with the groom, and the consummation of the marriage. Consummation means (to finish, to bring to completion of fruition; to conclude, achieve, or fulfill) meaning that the marriage is now official. This is completely different then how the world views marriages and engagements today.

So, Joseph was going to divorce is engaged wife Mary DURING the engagement process and not after they had consummated the marriage and made it official. And I believe this makes the most sense regarding divorcing a wife due to adultery when we read the verses.

Marital Vows

One of the things I did not mention in the video the last time is “vows” and it was laid on my heart to share the importance of vows. When a man and woman are getting married don’t they exchange “Wedding Vows” saying “Till death do you part?” We all know the  answer to this is yes. So this means that you had made a vow between you, your spouse, and our Father YAHWEH which is why YESHUA said “What ELOHIM has brought together let man NOT separate.” So being that you have exchanged a wedding vow before YAHWEH does He expect you to uphold that vow? I did a video on vows but I’ll list the scriptures as it pertains any vow that we make.

Ecclesiastes 5:4-6

“When you make a VOW to ELOHIM, do not delay to pay it, for He takes no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you have VOWED. It is better not to vow than to vow and not pay. Do not all your mouth to cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of ELOHIM that it was a mistake. Why should ELOHIM be wroth at your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

Deuteronomy 23:21-23

“When you make a vow to YAHWEH your ELOHIM, do not delay to pay it, for YAHWEH your ELOHIM is certainly requiring it of you, and it shall be sin in you. BUT WHEN YOU ABSTAIN FROM VOWING, IT IS NOT SIN IN YOU (As YESHUA said don’t swear falsely at all) That which has gone from your lips you shall guard and do, for you VOLUNTARILY vowed to YAHWEH your ELOHIM what you have promised with your mouth.”

A good example of this is found in Judges with a man named Yiphtah, who made a vow. Some people read this and thing YAHWEH is unjust without understanding the two scriptures that we just read above.

Judges 11:30-36

“And Yiphtah MADE A VOW to YAHWEH, and said, “if you give the children of Ammon into my hands, then it shall be that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall belong to YAHWEH, and I shall offer it up as a burnt offering.” Yiphtah then passed on toward the children of Ammon to fight against them, and YAHWEH gave them into his hands. And he smote them from Aro’er as for as minnith, twenty cities, and Abel Keramim, with a very great smiting. Thus the children of Ammon were humbled before the children of Yisra’el. And Yiphtah came to his house at Mitspah, and saw his daughter coming out to meet him with timbrels and dancing. Now except for her he had neither son nor daughter. And it came to be, when he saw her, that he tore his garments, and said, “Oh my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are among those who trouble me! And I, I have given my word to YAHWEH, and I am unable to turn back. And she said to him, “My dad, if you have given your word to YAHWEH, do to me according what has gone out of your mouth, because YAHWEH has taken vengeance for you upon your enemies, the children of Ammon.”

As we see Yiphtah voluntarily offered from his own mouth this vow, YAHWEH did not command him to do it and even though his daughter walked out of the house, his only daughter he had to offer her up. Many believers today would look for an excuse to get out of the situation and act like they never made the vow.  Yiphtah and his daughter knew that he had to perform what he spoke.

Psalms 66:13-14

“I enter Your house with burnt offerings; I COMPLETE MY VOWS TO YOU, THAT WHICH MY LIPS HAVE UTTERED AND MY MOUTH SPOKE IN DISTRESS.”

Genesis 28:20-23

“And Jacob made a VOW, saying, “Seeing ELOHIM is with me, and has kept me in this way that I am going, and has given me bread to eat and a garment to put on-when I have returned to my dad’s house in peace, and YAHWEH shall be my ELOHIM, then this stone which I have placed as a standing column shall be ELOHIM’s house, and of all that You give me, I shall certainly give a tenth to You.”

Jubilees 31:26-29

“And in the morning Jacob told his dad Isaac the VOW which he had vowed to YAHWEH, and the vision which he had seen, and that he had built an altar, and that everything was ready for the slaughtering to be made before YAHWEH as he had vowed, and that he had come to set him on a donkey.” And Isaac said to Jacob his son, “I am not able to go with you for I am old and not able to bear the way. Go in peace, my son. For I am one hundred and sixty-five years this day. I am no longer able to journey; set your mother on a donkey and let her go with you. And I k now, my son, that you have come because of me, and may this day be blessed on which you have seen me alive, and I also have seen you, my son. May you prosper and FULFIL the VOW which you vowed; AND DO NOT PUT OFF YOUR VOW; for you will be called in account for the vow. Now therefore hurry to perform it, and may He be pleased who has made all things, to whom you vowed the vow.”

As we can see a vow is not something to take lightly at all and YAHWEH expects us to fulfill the words that we have spoken. Therefore, if you have made a wedding vow to your spouse saying “Until death do you part” then it is “until death do you part.”

Passover Instructions 2021!

Pesach (Passover) is on April 6th this year using the Zadok Priestly calendar, so the days are going to be different than most of the standard calendars that you will see.

 Pesach (Passover) is a time to proclaim the death of YESHUA until He returns and we remember what He did when He gave Himself for us all.

I’ll discuss who Passover is for, parallels with YESHUA and Old Covenant, and instructions for Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Who is Passover for?

Exodus 12:42-49

“It is a night to be observed unto YAHWEH for bringing them out of the land of Egypt. This night is unto YAHWEH, to be observed by all the children of Yisra’el throughout their generations.” And YAHWEH said to Moses and Aaron, “This is a Law of the Passover: No son of a stranger (Nekar) is to eat of it, but any servant a man has brought for silver, when you have circumcised him, then let him eat of it. A sojourner and a hired servant does not eat of it. It is eaten in one house, you are not to take any of the flesh outside the house, nor are you to break any bone of it. All the congregation of Yisra’el are to perform it. And when a stranger sojourns with you (Ger) and shall perform the Pesach to YAHWEH, let all his males be circumcised, AND THEN let him come near and perform it, and he shall be as a native of the land. But let NO UNCIRCUMCISED eat of it.”

Numbers 9:14

“And when a stranger (gentile) sojourns among you, then he shall perform the Pesach (Passover) of YAHWEH. He shall do so according to the Law of the Pesach and according to its Right-Ruling. You have ONE LAW, both for the stranger and the native of the land.”

So, we see that YAHWEH says twice that the gentile must perform the Passover along with the native-born Israelites because they are grafted in. So there is no replacement theology of the church replacing Yisra’el, but rather the gentiles are observe the festivals that the world calls “Jewish feast days”. As we see, YAHWEH said there is One Law for the native-born and gentile and both must observe Passover.

One of Satan’s biggest deceptions is to trick believers of The ELOHIM of Yisra’el into observing pagan days that are not commanded in scripture. Satan has attempted to take YESHUA’s victory over death  and has the world worshipping and praising the Easter bunnies instead of observing Passover. By doing so he wants to give the honor and esteem to anything but YAHWEH and YESHUA and has found a way to connect it to hardcore paganism.

 Satan has deceived the world just as it states in Revelation 12:9 that he has led the whole world astray. Most of the world is celebrating his counterfeit holidays called sabbats which means (a pagan gathering of witches) that mock the true Holy Days/SHABBAT’S or Moedim (Appointed times) set by YAHWEH.

Jubilees 1:9-10

“For they shall forget all My Commands, even all that I command them, and they shall walk after the gentiles (Easter is an example of that), and after their uncleanness, and after their shame, and shall serve their mighty ones. And these shall come to be an offence to them and a tribulation and an affliction and a snare. And many shall perish and they shall be taken captive, and shall fall into the hands of the enemy, because they have forsaken My Laws and My Commands, and the Festivals of My Covenant (Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread etc) and My  Shabbats, and My Holy Place which I have sanctified for Myself in their midst….” Verse 14 “And they shall forget all My Torah and My Commands and all My Right-Rulings, and shall go astray as to NEW MOONS, and SHABBATS, and FESTIVALS, and Jubilees, and Laws.”

Is this matter and the words commanded in Torah that serious?

Yes! When the Book of the Torah was discovered during the days of Josiah in The House of YAHWEH he said in 2 Kings 22:13

“Go inquire of YAHWEH for me, for the people and for all of Judah, concerning the words of this Book that has been found. For great is the wrath of YAHWEH that is kindled against us, because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this Book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

 YAHWEH says they forgot His New Moons, Shabbats, and Festivals. And the world has forsaken them for pagan knock-off’s. As I repeat so often is that once you have accepted YESHUA as your Messiah and Savior and know that He is Son of YHWH, then you have become grafted in as ONE with the nation of Yisra’el. There is only ONE belief; therefore, proving that ALL believers in YAHWEH and His Son YESHUA should ALL be worshipping Him the same way!

Ephesians 4:4-6

“ONE BODY, and ONE RUACH (SPIRIT), as you also were called in ONE expectation of your calling; ONE ADON (Master)YESHUA, ONE BELIEF/FAITH, ONE IMMERSION/BAPTISM, ONE ELOHIM AND FATHER OF ALL who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” There is only ONE WAY and that is through YESHUA anything else is an imposter.

Colossians 2:16-17

“Let no one therefore judge you in eating and or in drinking, or in respect of a Festival or a NEW MOON OR SABBATH-which are a shadow of what is to come...” 

Meaning that YAHWEH expects us to observe these days. The Hebrew word for Holy Convocation is “Mikraw” which literally means a rehearsal. We are to be observing these days NOW because it will be too late when YESHUA returns: therefore, don’t let anyone judge you for knowing the TRUTH! The prophecy in Zechariah 14 is a great example of this because during the 1,000 reign, that ALL nations must come to celebrate The Feast of Tabernacles or have no rain, even the Egyptian, because it is a SHADOW of what is to come, which means that same concept applies to Passover!

Choose Passover/Pesach (Pronounced PAY-SOCK)!

Mathew 26:2 says:

“As you know, the PASSOVER is two days away and the Son of Man (YESHUA) will be handed over to be crucified.”

What is Passover? Passover is when YAHWEH brought the final plague upon the Egyptians because Pharaoh would not let His people go. YAHWEH commanded the Israelites to take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the basin with the perfect blood of lamb and strike the lentil and the two doorposts of the house so that YAHWEH would “Pass Over” their homes and not let the destroyer come in; and to execute judgment on the Egyptians. This event was a foreshadowing of the true perfect sacrificial lamb in YESHUA, whose perfect blood was poured out for us. The same way the perfect blood of the lamb saved Yisra’el when YAHWEH PASSED OVER them, is the same way when we have the perfect blood of YESHUA in our lives and doorposts of our hearts that sin and death PASS OVER us!

John 1:29

“On the next day John saw YESHUA coming toward him, and said, “See, the LAMB of YAHWEH who takes away the sin of the world!”

Exodus 12:5

“Let the LAMB be a perfect one, a year old male.” Verse 12 “And I shall pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and shall smite the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And on all the mighty ones of Egypt I shall execute judgment. I am YAHWEH. And the BLOOD shall be a SIGN for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the BLOOD, I shall PASS OVER you, and let the plague not come on you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.”

YESHUA is also described as the Lamb in the Book of Revelation saying:

Revelation 6:16

“And said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne and from the wrath of the LAMB.”

Revelation 12:11

“And they overcame him because of the Blood of the LAMB because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Revelation 13:8

“And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain LAMB, from the foundation of the world shall worship Him.”

Revelation 22:1 “And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of YAHWEH and of the LAMB.”

Another connection with YESHUA from the Old Covenant and the Renewed Covenant is:

Exodus 12:46

“It is eaten in one house, you are not to take any of the flesh (lamb) outside the house, NOR are you to BREAK ANY BONE OF IT.”

John 19:31

“The Jews asked Pilate to have THEIR LEGS BROKEN, and to be taken away. Therefore the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was impaled with Him, but when they came to YESHUA and saw that He was already dead, they DID NOT BREAK HIS LEGS.”  But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and instantly BLOOD and WATER came out. And he was has seen has witnessed, and his witness is true. And he knows that he is speaking the truth, in order that you might believe. For this took place in order for the Scripture to be filled: “NOT ONE OF HIS BONES SHALL BE BROKEN.” See the connection and how it fulfills what YAHWEH spoke In Exodus 12:46?

Also in John 19:34 when YESHUA was pierced blood and water came out of Him. This reminds me of:

1 John 5:5-6

“Who is the one who overcomes the world but he who believes that YESHUA is the Son of YAHWEH? This is the One that came by WATER AND BLOOD: YESHUA ha’Mashiach, not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Ruach (Spirit) who bears witness, because the Ruach is the Truth.” (The immersion/baptism and atonement on the stake.)

YESHUA and Paul both observed Passover!

Exodus 12:14 says:

“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial: and you shall keep it a feast to YAHWEH throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by a LAW forever.”

If you notice, YAHWEH tells us to keep the Passover Feast throughout our generations forever. This holds true because YESHUA celebrated Passover with His disciples just as His Father commanded.

Mathew 26:18-19 says:

“And He said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand: I WILL KEEP THE PASSOVER at your house with My disciples.” And the disciples did as YESHUA had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover.”

Verse 29 is absolutely beautiful! YESHUA reveals something that a lot of people may miss after reading the passage. He says the following:

“But I say unto you, I will not drink the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

YESHUA just confirmed the words of Father YAHWEH in Exodus 12:14 that the Passover is to be kept forever; and YESHUA tells us that we will celebrate the Passover with Him when He drinks the fruit of the vine with us in His Father’s Kingdom, HalleluYAH! So, as believers we need to begin celebrating the true feast of Passover and not the counterfeit holiday of Easter.

 The problem is that Christianity through the lies of the enemy has been working hard to remove the Hebraic roots of our faith and westernize it. It baffles me because YESHUA was a Jew, which is ONE of the 12 Tribes of Yisra’el, and He spoke Aramaic/Hebrew, so it is impossible to remove the Hebraic roots of our faith. A perfect example of this is how they call Passover “The Last Supper” as if it was just some dinner YESHUA ate before He gave Himself for us. By doing so the foreshadowing of the lamb in Exodus that saved Yisra’el won’t be made with YESHUA the perfect Lamb Who saves us.

1 Corinthians 5:7-8

“Therefore cleanse out the old leaven, so that you are a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also MESSIAH our PASSOVER was offered for US. So then LET US OBSERVE THE FESTIVAL (PASSOVER) not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of evil and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

Not only did Paul remember that YESHUA is our Passover Lamb, but also told the assembly of Corinth to Observe the Festival of Passover which means Paul observed it and told the non-native born Corinthians to do the same, showing that we ALL should doing as they did.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

“For I received from the Adon pronounced Ah-doan (Master) that which I also delivered to you: that the Adon YESHUA in the night in which He was delivered up took bread, and having given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat, this is My body which is broken for you; DO THIS IN REMEMBERANCE OF ME.” In the same way also the cup, after supper; saying, “This cup is the Renewed Covenant in My blood. As often as you drink it, DO THIS IN REMEMBERANCE OF ME.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup (Passover), you PROCLAIM THE DEATH OF THE ADON UNTIL HE COMES.”

So we see the importance of the blood of YESHUA saving us from sin and death and the bread representing His body that was broken for us and blood of the Renewed Covenant! Then Paul adds that we are proclaiming the death of YESHUA until He returns! So if we are doing this in REMEMBERANCE of YESHUA then He will be looking from heaven to see if we are REMEMBERING TO KEEP PASSOVER! I know Christianity has their own “tradition of men” called communion to remember what YESHUA did, but we have to understand that YAHWEH commands us to do it on a certain day once a year. Which is why He gave us Holy Days in Leviticus 23 and Deuteronomy 16 and called “Appointed Times” and “Sabbaths”. They are Appointments that YAHWEH and YESHUA want to meet with Their people.

Think of it this way: If a holistic doctor says “come back and see me in two weeks and make the appointment with the receptionist” that means you have an appointment to meet him on a certain day. If you decide to show up a month later, then that means you have missed the appointment and cannot receive treatment. The same thing applies in the spiritual realm and the Covenant we are supposed to be walking in with ELOHIM to receive spiritual blessings on the day that He has ordained.

And Even Josiah in the Book of Kings when the Book of the Torah was discovered celebrated Passover because IT IS WRITTEN! 2 Kings 23:21-23 says:

And the sovereign (Josiah) commanded all the people, saying, “Prepare the Pesach (Passover) to YAHWEH your Elohim, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.” For such a Passover had not been prepared since the days of the rulers who ruled Israel, nor in all the days of the sovereigns of Israel and the sovereigns of Judah.”

Joshua 5:10-11

“And the children of Yisra’el camped in Gilgal, and performed the Pesach on the 14th day of the month at evening on the desert plains of Jericho. And they ate the stored grain of the land on the morrow after the Pesach, unleavened bread and roasted grain on this same day.”

When is Passover this year?

Passover this year is on April 6th when the sun is about to completely go down (twilight/between the evenings), but before it completely sets, but the meal is not eaten until the sun completely sets. This is why YAHWEH said slaughter the lamb “in between the evenings” which is still technically the14th day of 1st month, so when the sun sets is the start of the 15th. The meal is eaten at night in haste because the Israelites fled Egypt in haste. And a way to remember what happened with the Exodus out of Egypt is by retelling the event with Scripture and having the entire family join in or a haggadah which is a retelling of Exodus that is interactive where all can join as reader #1, reader #2 etc, just make sure that is scripturally based and not the seder of Judaism.

Exodus 12:8

“And they shall eat the flesh on that NIGHT, roasted in fire-with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs and they shall eat it.

Jubilees 49:1

“Remember the command which YAHWEH commanded you concerning Passover, that you should celebrate it at its appointed time, on the fourteenth day of the first month; that you should slaughter it BEFORE it is evening (in between the evenings/twilight), so that they may EAT IT BY NIGHT ON THE EVENING OF THE FIFTEENTH from the time of the SETTING OF THE SUN.”

Deuteronomy 16:6

“There you slaughter the Pesach in the evening, at the going down of the sun (twilight.in between the evenings), at the Appointed Time you came out of Egypt.”

What are we supposed to eat?

Exodus 12:8-11

“And they shall eat the flesh (Lamb) on that night, ROASTED IN FIRE-with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.” Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but ROASTED IN FIRE, its legs and its inward parts. And do not leave of it until morning you are to burn with fire. And this is how you eat it: your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Pesach (Passover) of YAHWEH.

Exodus 34:25

“Do not offer the blood of My slaughtering with leaven, and do not let the slaughtering of the Festival of Pesach remain until morning.”

YAHWEH tell us to eat lamb roasted in fire (like a grill with actual charcoal and flames) unleavened bread (bread with no yeast, no baking soda or sourdough) and bitter herbs which are herbs such as mustard greens, dandelion greens, horseradish, or chicory.

1 Esdras 1:11-12

“And according to the nobility of the ancestors before the people, to offer to YAHWEH, as it is written in the Book of Moses (Torah). And thus they did in the morning, and they ROASTED THE PESACH (PASSOVER) WITH FIRE, AS REQUIRED.”

Of course we are in diaspora right now, scattered to the four corners of the earth because of our ancestor’s disobedience. Meaning we aren’t in Jerusalem and there is no Temple; however, we can do ALL that we can to follow the commandments and requirements to the best of your ability. If you can get a staff to eat with the meal then why not? If you can get a whole lamb then that’s great! If, not get some lamb steaks, just make sure you are eating lamb roasted in fire as required. But remember that NONE of the meat can be kept and must be burned with fire by the morning as we read in Exodus 12:10 and Exodus 34:25.

Jubilees 49:10

“Let the children of Yisra’el come and observe the Passover on the day of its appointed time on the fourteenth day of the first month, between the evenings, from the THIRD PART of the day to the THIRD PART OF THE NIGHT, for two portions of the day are given to the light, and a third part to the evening. This is that which YAHWEH commanded you that you should observe it between the evenings. And it is not permissible to slay it during any period of the light, but during the period BORDERING THE EVENING, and let them eat it at the time of the evening UNTIL THE THIRD PART OF THE NIGHT, and whatever is left over of all its flesh from the THIRD PART OF THE NIGHT ONWARDS, let them burn it with fire.”

We need 12 hours of both to constitute a 24 hour period. 12 hours in a day divided by three parts equals 4 hours. Spoken of in Jubilees 49 for Passover:

Night:

Part 1 of night is: 6pm-10pm

Part 2 of night is: 10pm-2am (Eat of Passover from evening up to 2 am, then whatever is left is burned with fire. Because what ever is left from the third part of night onwards is to be burned.)

Part 3 of night is: 2am-6am

Day:

Part 1 of day is: 6 am-10am

Part 2 of day is 10am-2pm

Part 3 of day is 2pm-6pm and the cycle repeats

Some argue that since YESHUA is the Lamb that we don’t have to eat the lamb. And I would say that in Mathew 5:17 YESHUA said He did not come to abolish the Torah, and secondly I would say that John 6 gives us the full context of what YESHUA is saying:

John 6:55-58

“For My flesh is truly food, and My blood is truly drink. He who eats My Flesh and drinks My blood stays in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live cause of the Father, so he who feeds on Me shall live because of Me. This is the bread which came down out of the heavens, not as your fathers ate the manna and died. He who eats this bread shall live forever.”

So we know YESHUA is not talking about becoming a cannibal and eating his literal flesh and drinking His blood which is forbidden in the Torah. This was symbolic, meaning the flesh is the lamb roasted in fire, the bread is the unleavened bread which represents His sinless body that was broken for us, and the blood is the wine or grape juice. And we can go back to the beginning of John 6 and go to verse 4 to know YESHUA was referring to Passover which says “And the Passover was near, the Festival of the Jews.”

Exodus 12:22

“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin, and you, NONE OF YOU SHALL GO OUT OF THE DOOR OF HIS HOUSE UNTIL MORNING.”

As I always say we should follow the Scriptures as closely as we can, so if you are at home stay in the house and don’t go out until morning and likewise if you are staying with family or friends stay in the house until morning to fulfill the command

1 Corinthians 11:27-29

“So that whoever should eat this bread or drink this cup of the Master unworthily shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Master. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup/ For the one who is eating and drinking unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Master.”

You must be circumcised to eat of the Passover!

Exodus 12:43-49

“And YHWH said to Moses and Aaron, “This is a Law of the Passover: No son of a stranger is to eat of it, but any servant a man has brought for silver, when you have circumcised him, then let him eat of it. A sojourner and a hired servant does not eat of it. It is eaten in one house, you are not to take any of the flesh outside the house, nor are you to break any bone of it. All the congregation of Yisra’el are to perform it. And when a stranger sojourns with you (Ger) and shall perform the Pesach to YAHWEH, let all his males be circumcised, AND THEN let him come near and perform it, and he shall be as a native of the land. But let NO UNCIRCUMCISED eat of it.”

Joshua 5:7-10

“And Joshua circumcised their sons whom He raised up in their place; for they were uncircumcised, because they had not been circumcised on the way. And it came to be, when they had completed circumcising all the nation, that they stayed in their places in the camp till they were healed. And YHWH said to Joshua, ‘Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the name of the place is called Gigal to this day. And the children of Yisra’el camped in Gilgal, and performed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening on the deserts plains of Jericho.”

So here we see that those who rebelled against YAHWEH in the wilderness were caught off as they wandered for 40 years, but their children who were born in the wilderness were not yet circumcised. So notice that after Joshua circumcised them that they were allowed to eat the Passover four days later? That’s because no uncircumcised can eat it as YAHWEH commanded in Exodus 12.

However, circumcision is also a sign of the covenant that He made with Abraham in Genesis 17 and we see that the uncircumcised cannot eat Passover, so I truly believe that every man should do his best to follow these instructions and be physically circumcised and also circumcised of the heart.

Numbers 9:6-12 explains that there is a second Passover, ONLY for those who are unclean or on a journey and absolutely can’t make it. I would strongly encourage everyone to make the first one, but if you can’t YAHWEH knows your heart, just don’t miss the second one.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread!

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is a “High Shabbat” that begins on April 7th; therefore, it ties in with Passover, which is why we start eating unleavened bread that night of the 6th. We will see in John 19:31 that the 1st Day of The Feast of Unleavened Bread is another holy day where NO WORK is commanded! So it was a Shabbat within a Shabbat and YESHUA rested and honored both. YAHWEH did not raise Him up from the dead until both Shabbat rests were completed! ELOHIM is awesome!

John 19:31

“Therefore, since it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remain on the stake on the Shabbat-for that Shabbat was A HIGH ONE (1st Day of Feast of Unleavened Bread…)

Numbers 33:3

“So they departed from Ramses in the first month, on the 15th day of the first month (Feast of Unleavened Bread), on the MORROW OF THE PASSOVER, the children of Yisra’el went out with a high hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians.”

Acts 20:6-7

“And we sailed away from Philippos after the Days of Matzah (Feast of Unleavened Bread) and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days. And on one of the Sabbaths, the disciples having gathered together to break bread, Paul, intending to depart the next day, was reasoning with them and was extending the Word till midnight.”

Just pointing out that Paul himself was with the group observing The Feast of Unleavened Bread and we see that they did not even sail until AFTER the Feast was completed.

April 7th-13th is The Feast of Unleavened Bread (7 days) and DO NOT EAT LEAVENED bread starting on Passover the 6th. The 1st and 7th Days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread are NO WORK DAYS, so that means do not work on April 7th or April 13th, 2021.

YAHWEH tells us this in Exodus 12:14-20 saying:

“This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to YAHWEH---a LASTING LAW. For seven days you are to eat bread made without leaven. On the first day remove the leaven from your houses (April 7th), for whoever eats anything with leaven in it from the first day through the seventh day must be cut off from Israel. On the FIRST day (APRIL 7TH) hold a sacred assembly, and another one on the SEVENTH DAY (APRIL 13TH.) Do no work at all on these days, except to prepare food for everyone to eat---that is all you may do.”

Exodus 34:18

“Guard the Festival of Matzah (Feast of Unleavened Bread). For seven days you eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the Appointed Time of the month of Abib, because in the month of Abib you came out from Egypt.”

YAHWEH also commands us to remove ALL leaven from our homes on the 1st Day of the Feast (April 7th). The definition of leaven is described below titled “What is leaven?”

 Exodus 12:17-18

“Celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting law for the generations to come. In the first, you are to eat bread made without leaven, from the evening of the fourteenth day (Passover, April 6th) until the evening of the twenty-first day (April 13th). (As stated above DO NOT EAT LEAVEN ON PASSOVER THE EVENING OF THE 6TH.) For seven days no leaven is to be found in your homes. And whoever eats anything with leaven in it must be cut off from the community of Yisra’el, whether he is an ALIEN OR NATIVE-BORN. Eat nothing made with leaven. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened bread.”

What is leaven?

Leaven or (Se’or in Hebrew) are leavening agents that cause dough to rise:

Firstly we have the natural form of leaven in bread which is called Sourdough bread. This is what the scriptures are originally referring to, when it says that they did not have time for the dough to rise.

Exodus 12:34

“And the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their garments on their shoulders.”

Sourdough bread is defined as: Sourdough is an old form of bread LEAVENING. It relies on a mix of wild yeast (from the air) and lactic acid bacteria that are naturally present in flour, RATHER than baker's yeast, to leaven the dough. It is fermented bread that begins to leaven the longer it sits.  An article titled “What is Sourdough? The bread that rises without yeast” written by Alice Zou says “Sourdough is the oldest form of leavened bread, dating back to Ancient Egypt. BEFORE the use of commercial yeast, all bread was either unleavened or sourdough. It is thought that sourdough bread was first made on accident when unleavened bread dough was left sitting out, and wild yeast began to grow in the dough. In modern times, sourdough is still popular, and many artisan bakeries still make sourdough bread.”

Then we have the chemical/commercial leavening agents the world is accustomed to today such as: (Yeast, baking powder, baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, horn salt etc.)

When leavening agents are combined with flour it becomes Chametz (Ha-mets) which is baked bread that has risen due to the leavening agents. We are to dispose of any Chametz that you have made yourself including sourdough or any store bought baked breads, cakes, cake mixes containing leavening agents, also beware of matzah ball soup mixes because they contain sodium bicarbonate which is a leavening agent that we should not be eating during this feast.

Also, all of the leavening agents must be thrown away too on the FIRST DAY (April 7th) and to be found NOWHERE in your homes. And do not give the chametz or the leavening agents to a neighbor to get them back afterwards. Throw them away as He commanded and He will provide the provisions for being obedient as always.

None of these items are supposed to even be seen anywhere on our property. We are to eat Matzah, which is called unleavened bread, for seven days which does not contain anything to make the dough rise or the original leavened sourdough bread. Simply flour, water, and maybe oil is all that is required to make unleavened bread.

Wine is popular to drink on Passover, though I personally opt for grape juice as the fruit of the vine, because most wine contains yeast or a leavening agent during the fermentation process, which would break the command of no leavening agent. So if you can find a wine that doesn’t break the command then you should have no problems, otherwise I would drink grape juice. I only bring this up for awareness purposes so that each person can do their own research and follow the instructions as closely as they can.

Exodus 12:39

“And they baked UNLEAVENED CAKES of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt, for it was NOT LEAVENED, since they were driven out of Egypt, and had not been able to delay, nor had they prepared food for themselves.”

We are commanded not to possess Chametz or leavening agents because leaven is a representation of sin. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8:

“Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little leaven works through the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old leaven that you may be a new batch without leaven—

Once you allow a little sin to enter your life it will grow, spread, and rise like yeast or leavening agents, because the sin/yeast will spread through the entire batch of dough/body. I’ve heard it said and know it to be true, is that sin is contagious.

YAHWEH tells us in Exodus 13:7-9:

“Eat unleavened bread during those seven days; and WHATEVER IS LEAVENED IS NOT TO BE SEEN WITH YOU, AND LEAVEN IS NOT TO BE SEEN WITH YOU WITHIN ALL YOUR BORDER. On that day tell your son, ‘I do this because of what YAHWEH did for me when I came out of Egypt.” And it shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah of YAHWEH is to be in your mouth, for with a strong hand YAHWEH has brought you out of Egypt.”

Jubilees 1:26

“And you shall write down for yourself all these Words which I declare unto you on this mountain, the first and the last, which shall come to be in all the divisions of the days in the Law and in the Witness and in the Shabbats and the Jubilees FOREVER, UNTIL I DESCEND AND DWELL WITH THEM FOREVER.”

Does creation obey YAHWEH more than humans?

All of YAHWEH’s creation has laws and we see how they do their assigned tasks according to YAHWEH’s commandments. All the matters in the heavens, the orbit of the sun and moon, plus the sea and rivers all operate under laws that our Father is given them. Yet, the religions of this world have rebelled against His commandments and even speak harsh words against Him! By saying things like the commandments are bondage, legalism, and a curse is to speak against YAHWEH and His ways!

So did YAHWEH go to great lengths to give His entire creation laws and then say to the modern day Christian you are going to be the only lawless creation of Mine? Absolutely not! We will be exploring through the scriptures to see how perfectly YAHWEH has ordained creation with Laws and that nothing can go their own way; however, with free will you can choose to disobey like the fallen angels did, and in so doing so choose death. But first let us examine the mindset of churches toward the Creator of heaven and earth.

 Most believers today will tell you that the commandments are bondage, legalistic, and burdensome. What does scripture say?

1 John 5:3

“For this is the love for YAHWEH, that we guard His Commands, and His Commands are not burdensome.” So the love of YAHWEH is to keep His commands and they are not burdensome. What does YAHWEH think of those who say His commands are burdensome?

Leviticus 26:14-16

“But if you do not obey Me, and do not do all these Commands, and if you reject My Laws, or IF YOUR BEING LOATHES (Dislike greatly and often with disgust, Merriam-Webster) My Right-Rulings, so that you do not do all My Commands, but break My Covenant, I also do this to you: And I shall appoint sudden alarm over you, wasting disease and inflammation, destroying the eyes, and consuming the life. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat.”

James 1:25

“But he that looked into the perfect Torah, THAT OF FREEDOM, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work this one shall be blessed in his doing.’

So we see that James the brother of YESHUA disagrees that the Torah is legalistic and bondage, he says the exact opposite and that the Torah is freedom. Why does he say this? Because those who disobey the commandments think they are free, but they are a slave to sin. It’s a strong delusion because they have refused to receive the love of the truth.

2 Peter 2:18-19

“For speaking arrogant nonsense, they entice (invite or lure)-through lusts of the flesh through indecencies-the ones who have indeed escaped from those living in delusion, promising them freedom, though themselves being SLAVES OF CORRUPTION-for one is a slave to whatever overcomes him.”

Romans 6:16

“Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, you are servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?”

Peter and Paul are saying how can the lawless person who says the commandments are bondage and legalistic promise freedom to someone else, when they themselves are slaves to sin! They still battle with lust of the flesh and try to lure you to do so as well with lawlessness, which is something we are supposed to being to everyday. How does scripture define sin?

1 John 3:4

“Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness (Transgression of the Torah), and sin is lawlessness.”

The problem is a lack of reverence for YAHWEH these days because there is no more fire and brimstone preaching, but mostly prosperity gospel, and with that came generations of people who don’t fear YAHWEH nor eternal punishment. A scripture from the 12 Patriarchs should help to put things in perspective.

Testament of Levi 3:5-8

“In it are the Ruling Messengers, who minister and make offerings to YAHWEH for all the sins of ignorance of the righteous; offering to YAHWEH a sweet-smelling aroma, a reasonable and a bloodless offering. And in the heaven below these are the messengers who bear answers to the messengers of the presence of YAHWEH. And in the heaven next to this are thrones and dominions, in which always they offer praise to ELOHIM. Therefore when YAHWEH LOOKS at us, all of us are shaken yes, the heavens, and the earth, and the abysses tremble at the presence of His majesty. But the sons of men, not perceiving these things, sin and provoke the anger of the Most High.”

If the Christians who say the law is done away with could only see that the angels, the heavens and earth tremble when YAHWEH only looks at them would completely change their view. But as the scripture reads, men don’t see this happening up close and personal and they continue to sin to provoke YAHWEH to anger. If they understood how holy and righteous He is then they would not be willfully sinning as they do.

Jeremiah 8:7

“Even a stork in the heavens knows her APPOINTED TIMES. And a turtledove, and a swallow, and a thrush guard the time of their coming. But My people do not know the Right-Ruling of YAHWEH.”

Very powerful words spoken by our Father YAHWEH! He is saying that the animals that He has created knows what to do and when to do it, yet those created in His image do not know how to follow His commandments. These are the same animals that YAHWEH has given us dominion over, yet they know what they are supposed to do and believers of YESHUA are lost.

Sirach 10:19

“Those who fear YAHWEH are a continual seed, and those who love Him an esteemed plant. Those who DISREGARD THE LAW ARE A SHAMEFUL SEED; those who transgress the Commands are a DECEPTIVE seed.”

Firstly notice how Sirach says that those who “LOVE” YAHWEH are an esteemed plant? And how do we love Him according to scripture?

John 14:21

“He who possesses My Commands and guards them, it is he who LOVES ME. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Those who say the law are done away with are described as the “shameful and deceptive seed.” Deceptive is defined as having power to mislead, or impress with FALSE OPINIONS. So you have to ask yourself, who in scripture is described as deceptive? Isn’t it Satan the father of lies?

Revelation 12:9

“And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who DECEIVES THE WHOLE WORLD…”

Genesis 3:1 (Parenthesis are mine)

“And the serpent was more CRAFTY (devious/deceptive/underhanded) than any beast of the field which YAHWEH ELOHIM had made…”

Does any follower of YESHUA want to be in the same category as Satan? Lies, false opinions, deceptive, underhanded, devious and lawless? Doesn’t this mean that being lawless is obeying the voice of the enemy? The book of Jashar correlates with Sirach about transgressing the command of YAHWEH and being deceptive by listening to the voice of Satan. Satan is the one saying “The law is done away with.”

Jashar 1:9-10

“And the serpent, which ELOHIM had created with them in the earth, came to them to cause them to TRANSGRESS THE COMMAND OF ELOHIM which He had commanded them. And the serpent enticed and persuaded the woman to eat from the tree of knowledge, and the woman LISTENED TO THE VOICE OF THE SERPENT, and she TRANSGRESSED THE WORD OF YAHWEH, and took from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and she ate, and she took from it and gave also to her husband and he ate.”

YAHWEH wants us to obey His laws and commandments just as He ordained for His creation and we will look at scriptures to show this and prove that there is no way that YAHWEH would allow a Christian to be the only lawless creation of His.

Scriptures proving that creation obeys YAHWEH!

Job 38:33

“Do you know the LAWS of the heavens? Or do you apply their rule over the earth?”

Jeremiah 33:19-26 (Parenthesis are mine)

“And the word of YAHWEH came to Jeremiah, saying, “Thus said YAHWEH, “If you could break My COVENANT (Hebrew word “beriyth” meaning divine ordinance, law, or decree with signs or pledges) with the day and My covenant with the night, so that there be not day and night in their season, then My covenant could also be broken with David, My servant-so that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne-and with the Levites, the priests, My attendants. ‘As the host of the heavens is not counted, nor the sand of the sea measured, so I increase the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who attend upon Me. Verse 25 Thus said YAHWEH, ‘If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the LAWS of the heavens and the earth, then I would also reject the descendants of Jacob and David My servant…”

YAHWEH has given laws to the sun and moon to come out at their appointed times which He ordained, so we will always have the sun in the day and the moon at night.

Psalms 148:1-6

“HalleluYAH! Hallelu-YAHWEH from the heavens, praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His messengers (angels); Praise Him, sun and moon; praise him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the Name of YAHWEH, for He COMMANDED and they were created. And He established them forever and ever, HE GAVE A LAW AND THEY PASS NOT BEYOND.”

Job 28:26-27

“When He made a LAW for the rain, and a way for the lightning of thunder then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it and also searched it out.”

Job 38:4-11

“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. Who appointed its measurements, if you know? Or who stretched the line upon it? Upon what were its foundations sunk? Or who laid its corner-stone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy? Or enclosed the sea with doors, when it burst forth and came from the womb; when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; and assigned for it MY LAW, and put bars and doors; and said, ‘This far you have come, but no farther, and here your proud waves stop?”

Enoch 5:1-4

“Observe how the trees cover themselves with green leaves and bear fruit. Therefore give heed and know with regard to all His works, and recognize how He that lives forever has made them so. And all His works go on from year to year forever, and ALL THE TASKS WHICH THEY ACCOMPLISH FOR HIM, and their TASKS do not change, but according to how ELOHIM has ORDAINED, so it is done. And see, how the sea and the rivers in the same way accomplish and do not change their tasks FROM HIS COMMANDMENTS. But you, you have not been steadfast, nor done the Commandments of YAHWEH, but you have turned away and spoken proud and harsh words with your impure mouths against His greatness Oh, you hard-hearted! You shall find no peace.”

As we see Enoch mentions how creation does not change their tasks according to His commandments, yet mankind has turned and spoken proud words against His greatness, and I would consider one saying “Your laws are done away it and they are bondage” to be proud harsh words spoken against YAHWEH!

Enoch 60:11-13

“And the other messenger who went with me and showed me that what was hidden told me what is first and last in the heaven in the height, and beneath the earth in the depth, and at the ends of the heaven, and on the foundation of the heaven. And the chambers of the winds, and how the winds are divided, and how they are WEIGHED, and how the gates of the winds are reckoned, each according to the power of the wind, and the power of the lights of the moon, and according to the power that is fitting: and the divisions of the stars according to their names, and how all the divisions are divided. And the thunders according to the places where they fall, all of the divisions that are made among the lightnings that it may light up, and their host that they may AT ONCE OBEY.”

Enoch 33:1-4

“And from there I went to the ends of the earth and saw there great beasts, and each differed from the other; and I saw birds also differing in appearance and beauty and voice, the one differing from the other. And to the east of those beasts I saw the ends of the earth upon which the heaven rests, and the gates of the heaven open. And I saw how the stars of heaven come forth, and I counted the gates out of which they proceed, and wrote down all their outlets, of each individual star by itself, according to their number and their names, their courses and their positions, and their times and their months, as Uri’el the holy messenger who was with me showed me. He showed all things to me and wrote them down for me. He also wrote their names for me, and their LAWS and their companies.”

Enoch 72:1-2

“The book of the courses of the luminaries of the heaven, the relations of each, according to their classes, their dominion and their seasons, according to their names and places of origin and according to their months, which Uri’el, the holy messenger who was with me, who is their guide, showed me. And he showed me all their CALCULATIONS exactly as they are, and how it is with regard to all the years of the world and to eternity, until the NEW CREATION (New Jerusalem) is accomplished which endures until eternity. And this is the first calculation of the luminaries: the luminary the Sun has its rising in the eastern gates of the heaven, and its setting in the western gates of the heaven. And I saw six gates in which the sun rises, and six gates in which the sun sets and the moon rises and sets in these gates, and the leaders of the stars and those whom they LEAD: six in the east and six in the west, and all following each other in accurately corresponding order: also many windows to the right and left of these gates.”

Again, as we can see that all of YAHWEH’s creation has laws and certain commandments they follow. The sun goes through rises and sets in six gates as does the moon and everything is perfectly calculated. The point is to show that YAHWEH has a specific plan and law for everything that He has created; even down to the courses of the luminaries. So since we are created in His own personal image, then wouldn’t He have specific laws for us since there is a specific purpose for His entire creation?

Sirach 43:9-14

“The loveliness of the heavens, the esteem of the stars, an ornament giving light in the highest places of YAHWEH. At the COMMAND of the Holy One they STAND IN THEIR ORDER, and never weary in their watches.”

Baruk 3:33-34

“He who sends forth light, and it goes, calls it again, and it OBEYS HIM with reverence. The stars shone in their watches and rejoiced; when He calls them, they say, “Here we are.”

Ezekiel 43:11-12

“And since they shall be ashamed of all that they did, make known to them the design of the House and its structure, and its exits and its entrances, its entire design and all its LAWS, AND ALL ITS FORMS AND ALL ITS TOROT (Guidelines and Instructions). And write it down before their eyes, so that they observe its entire design and all ITS LAWS, and shall do them. This is the TORAH OF THE HOUSE: Upon the mountaintop, all the boundary of it, all around, is most kodesh (holy). See, this is the TORAH OF THE HOUSE.” So we see that YAHWEH’s creation and the heavens all have laws and so does His House that He showed Ezekiel!

Ezekiel 44:5

“And YAHWEH said to me, “Son of man, lay your heart and see with your eyes and hear with your ears, all that I say to you concerning all the LAWS OF THE HOUSE of YAHWEH and all it’s Torot (Plural form of Torah).”

Ezekiel 43:18

“And He said to me, “Son of man, thus said the Adon (Master) YAHWEH, ‘These are the LAWS FOR THE ALTAR on the day when it is made, for offering burnt offerings on it, and for sprinkling blood on it.” So now we even see the altar of YAHWEH has a law!

Jeremiah 5:24

“And they do not say in their heart, “Let us now revere YHWH our Elohim, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He guards for us the LAW: The Shavuot of harvest.” And this Holy Day we are to celebrate to Him every year is found in Leviticus 23 so we see the importance of this day, because YAHWEH Himself guards it as a Law!

Animals obey His command

1 Kings: 17:2-4

“And the word of YHWH came to him, saying, “Go away form here and turn eastward, and hide by the wadi Kerith, which flows into the Jordan. And it shall be that you drink from the stream, and I shall COMMAND THE RAVENS TO FEED YOU THERE.”

Leviticus 26:21-22

“And if you walk contrary to Me, and refuse to obey Me, I shall bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins, and SEND WILD BEASTS AMONG YOU, which shall bereave you of your children…”

2 Kings 17:25-26

“And it came to be, at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they did not revere YHWH, and YHWH SENT LIONS among them, which kept slaying among them. And they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The nations whom you have removed and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the Right-Ruling of the ELOHIM of the land. And HE HAS SENT LIONS AMONG THEM, and see, they are SLAYING among them because they do not know the Right-Ruling of the ELOHIM of the land.”

Isaiah 7:18-19

“And it shall be in that day that YAHWEH whistle for the fly that is in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. And they shall come, and all of them shall rest in the steep ravines and I the clefts of the rocks, and on all weeds and in all pastures.”

When YAHWEH sent the plagues amongst Pharaoh and the Egyptians in Exodus 8 and 9, He commanded frogs, gnats, flies, and locusts that did a lot of damage in the land.

The point is that all creation for the earth, sun, moon, stars, seas, rivers, and animals do not transgress the commands of YAHWEH, so why does any believer in YESHUA?

The evidence is overwhelming

If you have not been keeping the commandments up until this point, I pray that you start to do them and realize the importance of this. How can everything have a law, but you can be lawless? As we see our ELOHIM is an ELOHIM order and not chaos.

Wisdom 6:17-18

“For the very true beginning of her (Wisdom)  is the desire of discipline; and the concern of discipline is love; and love is the KEEPING OF HER LAWS; and guarding her Laws is the assurance of INCORRUPTION.”

Merriam-Webster defines incorruption as the quality or state of being free from physical decay. So keeping the commandments and clinging to YESHUA is how you achieve eternal life.

Baruk 4:1-2

“This the Book of the Commands of ELOHIM, and the LAW that endures FOREVER; all those who guard it shall attain LIFE, but those who leave is shall die. Turn, O Jacob, and take hold of it; walk in the presence of its light, that you may be illuminated.”

How does scripture define light?

 Proverbs 6:23 “For the command is a lamp and the Torah is a Light.”

So Baruk is saying that those who keep the commandments that were never done away with will lead to eternal life, but those who reject the Torah shall die. And we see that the Torah is a Light according to Proverbs 6:23, so walk in the presence of the Torah and be illuminated by it.

Psalms 119:105

“Your word is a LAMP for my feet, and a LIGHT to my path.”

YESHUA summarized Himself as being The Torah when He said in John 14:6 “I am the WAY, and the TRUTH, and the LIFE.”

I AM THE WAY----Psalms 119: 1 “Blessed are the perfect in the Way, who walk in the Torah of YHWH.”

I AM THE TRUTH----Psalms 119:142 “Your righteousness is righteousness forever, and Your Torah is truth.”

I AM THE LIFE----Proverbs 13:14 “The Torah of the wise is a fountain of Life.”

Sadly, many are wanting to walk with YESHUA and celebrate the wicked, lawless, traditions of men at the same time like the follow scripture.

2 Kings 17:41

“So these nations were revering YAHWEH, AND served their carved images, both their children and their children’s children. As their ancestors did, they are doing to this day.”

Believers are doing this today by saying they are serving YAHWEH and yet serving Baal on Sunday, Xmas, Easter, and then pass this lawlessness down to their children and the cycle continues. Someone in the family has to break this generational curse and stand up follow YAHWEH as He commanded and repent, and tear down the high places and idols that your ancestors have put up. This must stop immediately and you must choose who you are going to serve, either YAHWEH and His Laws, or Satan and his lawlessness.

1 Kings 18:21

“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long would you keep hopping between two opinions? If YAHWEH is ELOHIM, follow Him; and if Ba’al, follow him…”

Joshua 24:15

“And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve YAHWEH, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones which your ancestors served that were beyond the River, or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I and my house, we serve YAHWEH.”

The choice is yours my fellow brothers and sisters, so choose wisely and follow YAHWEH and be obedient to His commands and cling to His Son YESHUA. As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you all in YESHUA’s Name!

Beware of meat sacrificed to idols and blood!

We as followers of YESHUA have to remember that our ELOHIM of Yisra’el has called us out of the world to be separate and holy to Him. Everything from wearing the tsitsit/fringes, to the dietary laws, to the Sabbath are automatic indicators to the world that you are different, and show that you belong to YAHWEH. Obedience is better than sacrifice; therefore, we must do all we can to obey our Father in the shamayim (heavens).

Leviticus 19:2

“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’el, and say to them, ‘Be kodesh (holy), for I YAHWEH your ELOHIM am kodesh.”

We will discuss not eating blood, or meat that has been strangled or died within itself, kosher meat, and not eating meat sacrificed to idols.

Consequences of eating blood/strangled meat

Genesis 9:4-5

“But do not eat flesh with its life, its blood.”

Genesis 17:10-14

“And any man of the house of Yisra’el, or of the strangers who sojourn among you, who eats ANY blood, I shall turn My face against that being who eats blood, and shall cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your lives, for it is the blood that makes atonement for the life.’ “Therefore I said to the children of Yisra’el, ‘No being among you eats blood; nor does any stranger who sojourns among you eat blood.’ And any man from the children of Yisra’el, or from the strangers who sojourn among you, who hunts and catches any beast or bird, which is eaten, shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust, for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood is for its life. And I said to the children of Yisra’el, ‘Do not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it is cut off.’

Leviticus 19:26

“Do not eat with the blood. Do not practice divination or magic.”

 Deuteronomy 12:16

“Only the blood you do not eat, pour it on the earth like water.” Verse 23-25 “Only, be firm not to eat the blood, for the blood is the life, do not eat the life with the meat. Do not eat it, you pour it on the earth like water. Do not eat it, that it might be well with you and your children after you, even you do what is right in the eyes of YAHWEH.”

Jubilees 6:7-14

“But flesh, with its life, with the blood, you shall not eat; for the life of all flesh is in the blood, lest your blood of your lives be required. At the hand of every man, at the hand of every beast, I shall require the blood of man. Verse 12 “And this Witness is written concerning you that you should observe it continually so that you should not eat on any day, any blood of beasts or birds or cattle during ALL the days of the earth, and the man who eats the blood of beast or of cattle or of birds during all the days of the earth, he and his seed shall be rooted out of the land. And you shall command the children of Yisra’el to eat NO blood, so that their names and their seed may be before YAHWEH our ELOHIM continually. And for this Law there is NO LIMIT OF DAYS, for it is forever. They shall observe it throughout their generations, so that they may continue atonement on your behalf with blood before the altar...”

Jubilees 7:28-32

“For whoever sheds man’s blood, and whoever eats the blood of any flesh, will be destroyed from the earth. And there shall not be left ANY MAN that eats blood, or that sheds the blood of man on the earth, nor shall there be left to him any seed or descendants living under heaven. For into Sheol they shall go, and into the place of condemnation shall they descend, and into the darkness of the deep shall they all be removed by a violent death.”

1 Samuel 14:32-34

“And the people pounced on the spoil, and took sheep, and cattle, and calves, and slaughtered them on the ground. And the people ATE WITH THE BLOOD.” And they told Sha’ul saying, “Look, the people are SINNING against YAHWEH by eating with the blood!” And he said, “You have acted treacherously. Roll a large stone to me today.” And Sha’ul said, “Disperse among the people, and say to them, ‘Each one bring his ox near to me, and each one his sheep, and you shall slaughter them here, and eat. And do not sin against YAHWEH by eating with the blood.” So every one of the people brought his ox with him that night, and slaughtered it there.”

So think about this the next time before you eat any rare or medium-well steaks as it would contain the life blood of the animal. Also, have you noticed at times when you are deep frying chicken that blood will run out of the meat and you continue to let it fry in the grease? This would mean that you are doing nothing more than eating fried blood.

 The companies that sell meat say that the red liquid is not blood but rather a liquid called myoglobin. This is how it’s defined:  The more myoglobin content meat contains the darker red it will appear in color. Myoglobin content is higher in beef and lower in poultry with lamb and pork having intermediate amounts. The age of an animal will also impact the myoglobin content of the muscles with older animals having more myoglobin and darker meat. Muscles that are used for movement also have more myoglobin content than muscles used for support. Along with water from muscle, myoglobin is what is found in meat packages that leaks out of the muscles during storage and most people think is blood. ALMOST all of blood is removed from muscle at the time of slaughter.

Notice how their process says that ALMOST ALL OF THE BLOOD IS REMOVED FROM THE MUSCLE? Every scripture that was covered above YAHWEH says do not eat ANY blood at all! So “almost” does not meet His standards which means the meat can still contain blood. So what if you are eating myoglobin and a mixture of blood? I cannot speak for anyone else, but to me that is too big of risk to sin before our ELOHIM!

  I remember my grandma used to buy meat and then soak it in water and add salt to the water to draw out the blood; however, being that we are not slaughtering our own animals I would try to get it from a kosher place, in case the meat was sacrificed to idols which I will cover later in this article.

For example a kosher place will do the following to ensure that there is no blood in the meat: All kosher meat and poultry must undergo a special process to remove it. The meat or poultry is soaked in clean water for thirty minutes, then removed to drip dry. After a few minutes of dripping, the meat is salted and left to hang for sixty minutes to further draw out any remaining blood. After sixty minutes of salting, the meat is washed three times in cold, clean water to remove any remaining salt. The result: clean, fresh, and kosher meat. After the final washing, the meat is dried, further butchered into retail cuts.

I can guarantee that these mass slaughter houses are not doing this extra step because it is not cost effective or them. All they tell you is that they slaughter the animal with an unknown method and tell you the animal’s diet of grass-fed or grain fed and that is about it. And as you already know the extra steps to ensure the blood is removed increases the cost of kosher meat.

Strangled meat fits into the same category as not eating blood because this means that ALL the blood has NOT been properly drained out of the animal for the reasons I outlined above; therefore, you would indirectly be eating blood even if you didn’t mean to. Strangled meat is meat that is not slaughtered according to how ELOHIM prescribes it which is called “exsanguination” or bleeding out; therefore, there would be no blood left in the muscles of the meat. Which is why all the scriptures listed above say “pour out the blood on the earth like water.”

Acts 15:28

“For it seemed good to the RUACH HA’KODESH, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessities: that you abstain for what is OFFERED TO IDOLS, AND BLOOD, AND WHAT IS STRANGLED, and whoring. If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong!”

What to look for when buying meat?

So if you are going to buy meat try to get it as close to Biblically kosher as you can. I personally abstain from eating meat accept for ONE time out of the year and that is on Passover when we commanded to eat Lamb roasted in fire. I get it from a Kosher place called KOL foods because they are the closest to biblically Kosher that I have seen. I’m not saying they are perfect, but they meet the criteria for the best I can get while be scattered to the four corners. And again, it’s once a year for me, and in no way am I pushing off my diet on anyone, I’m just making it clear how serious I take this.

These questions that you are going to have to ask yourself and the person you are purchasing meat from. As we can see YAHWEH is very serious about the meat that we consume, so this topic of meat is not something to brush off.

Sacrificed to idols

We should NEVER eat meat that has been sacrificed to idols under any circumstances! For example if you see the word “halal” or their logo stamped on the meat that means that they pray and bless that meat in the name of “Allah” and means that meat has been sacrificed/slaughtered to Allah and not YAHWEH!

1 Samuel 9:13

“As you come into the city, you are going to find him (Samuel) before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people DO NOT EAT, until he comes for he BLESSES THE SLAUGHTERING, afterward they who are invited to eat.”

The same way we see the righteous Samuel blessing the slaughtering in the Name of YAHWEH before eating is what the Muslims do when they slaughter their meat which is why Halal is written on the package. Believers in YESHUA should avoid this meat altogether.

 Revelation 2:14

“But I hold a little against you, because you have there those who adhere to the teaching of Bil’am, who taught Balak to put a stumbling-block before the children of Yisra’el, to eat OFFERINGS TO IDOLS, AND TO COMMIT WHORING.”

Revelation 2:20

“But I hold against you that you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and lead My servants astray to commit whoring and to eat OFFERINGS TO IDOLS.”

2 Maccabees 6:7 (Parenthesis are mine)

“And every month in the day of the kings birth (Antiochus Epiphanies) they (Jews) were taken under bitter constraint (to force or produce in an unnatural or strained manner) to EAT OF THE OFFERINGS; and when the fast of Dionusos was kept, the Jews were compelled to go in the procession of Dionusos carrying ivy.”

Acts 15:28

“For it seemed good to the RUACH HA’KODESH, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessities: that you abstain for what is OFFERED TO IDOLS, AND BLOOD, AND WHAT IS STRANGLED, and whoring. If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong!”

YESHUA Himself says that it is a sin to eat offerings of idols and the Book of Maccabees shows how some Jews were forced to eat it, which is a great indicator that the Greeks knew it was a sin for the people of YAHWEH to eat this kind of meat. The same way they tried to force the Jews to eat pigs flesh because they knew it was a violation of the Torah.

 Another reason why I would not recommend buying random meat from anywhere such as stores like Food Lion, Walmart, or any random market is because most farms are unbelievers and they don’t have the same laws in mind when slaughtering animals.

 And eating meat at any restaurant without knowing where it comes from or what deity it may have been sacrificed to is a serious question to consider. An article that should raise some eyebrows is on: mia.zo.nz on their website states on their frequently asked questions “How much New Zealand meat is Halal and why?

Answer: While there are no official statistics on halal production in New Zealand, nearly ALL of New Zealand’s red meat export slaughter premises are certified to undertake slaughter in compliance with HALAL REQUIREMENTS. This gives the New Zealand red meat industry the flexibility to export different cut from a single carcass to the best-returning markets. The industry currently serves some 120 markets worldwide.”

The same website has another frequently asked question Who decides if New Zealand meat is labeled “Halal?”

Answer: In countries where halal certification and labelling is not a compulsory requirement, the decision is often the RETAILERS, as New Zealand meat is often not exported in “retail-ready form. The final packaging is generally done by the RETALIER in the market.”

As we see it is up to the retailer to decide whether they want to label Halal slaughtered meat “Halal” or not. And also nearly all of the meat coming from New Zealand is Halal certified and they serve a large market serving 120 markets around the world, so you can be eating Halal meat without even knowing it. Which is why I highly recommend you be careful what you eat because YESHUA does not approve of this.

Dailymail.co.uk has an article by Sean Poulter for the Daily Mail written in 2010 titled “More than 70% of New Zealand lamb imports to Britain are halal but you wouldn’t know it from the label.”

Poulter writes “All of the slaughter men in these establishments must be Muslim and say a prayer when making the cut across the animal’s throat which kills it. The New Zealand meat industry has taken the step to ensure its lamb can be sold in Muslim markets round the world. It emerged last week that British restaurant chains and venues such as Wembly and Ascot are serving up different types of halal meat WITHOUT TELLING THE CUSTOMERS.”

The Food Inc, documentary says that there are only 3 to 4 top producers of the meat industry that control most of the mass-produced feed-lot meat out there, and we see that New Zealand is shipping to 120 markets, this is alarming.

This is serious my fellow brothers and sisters and we know that Satan is crafty at what he does, so if he can indirectly get you to get meat sacrificed to idols then he will do it. I know many will point to Paul saying if you are unaware of the meat being sacrificed to an idol then consume it because an idol is nothing in this world, and I do agree with Paul when he mentioned not to eat meat sacrificed to an idol. I would say that YESHUA did not add any criteria to His words, He simply said do not eat offerings to idols, so in my opinion this isn’t a topic to take lightly and saying “Well I didn’t know!” And furthermore, Mathew 18:16 says out of the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established and we have YESHUA, The Holy Spirit, and Apostles speaking against it.

Animal died within itself and torn by wild beasts

If you have ever watched a documentary about how modern day slaughter houses handle their cows and chickens you would be convinced to stop eating that mass produced meat. I want to shed light on some things you may be unfamiliar with and see how serious this topic is.

In an article from freeladythinker.com writes about Nestle, the world’s largest dairy company. “At the farm, COK captured some of the most inhumane treatment they say they have ever witnessed, including gruesome violence against mother cows and their calves. The video revealed “downed cows” – cows who cannot walk or stand on their own-hoised up by their hips using metal clamps and dragged by tractors. In one instance, a manager shot a “downed” cow in the head, and she suffered in agony for almost a minute before she was shot again and died. The MEAT from the “downed” cows like here was usually doled out to the employees in garbage bags.” “In another shocking incident, a manager stabbed a cow with no anesthesia in a misguided attempt to treat a stomach malady. Workers kicked, stomped on and hit cows, or sprayed them in the face with scalding water just to make them move faster.”

Also the Food Inc documentary will show you how chickens are raised in chicken houses, stacked up on top of each other, feces everywhere, and they rarely see daylight. I point this out to ask, do you think YAHWEH wants His children to eat meat that has been produced this way? Is this meat sitting on the store shelves you purchase from? We see that meat from the cow that suffered was eaten according to the article.

YAHWEH also says do not eat meat of an animal that died within itself such as natural causes, sickness, a disease or died of old age etc. We are also commanded to not eat anything that has been torn by beasts such as the animal being attacked or torn to pieces by a wolf or lion for example. The Hebrew word Te-re-pah Strong’s #2966 means prey, flocks devoured by animals. So let’s go over some scriptures concerning all of these issues:

Ezekiel 4:14

“Then I said, “Ah, Adonai YAHWEH! See, I have never defiled myself from my youth till now. I have never eaten what DIED of itself OR was torn by beasts, nor has unclean meat ever come into my mouth.”

Genesis 31:39

“That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you, I myself bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.”

Exodus 22:31

“And you are holy men to Me, and you do not eat any meat which is torn to pieces in the field, you throw it to the dogs.”

Leviticus 7:24

“And the fat of a dead body, and the fat of what is torn, is used for any purpose, but you do not eat it at all.”

Leviticus 17:15

“And any being who eats a carcass or what was torn by a beast, be he a native or stranger, he shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and shall be unclean until evening. Then he shall be clean. And if he does not wash or bathe his body, then he shall bear his wickedness.”

Leviticus 22:8

“He does not eat that which dies OR is torn by beasts, becoming unclean by it. I am YAHWEH.”

Deuteronomy 14:21

“Do not eat whatever DIES of itself. Give it to the stranger who is within your gates, to eat it, or sell it to a foreigner. For you are holy people to YAHWEH your ELOHIM…”

There are two types of strangers/foreigners in scripture, there is the Ger which is the righteous gentile proselyte/convert who is grafted into the Nation of Yisra’el and keeps the commandments as the native-born and there is the Nekar the stranger who is just passing through and has not joined himself with Yisra’el, so the Nekar is the one who can this meat. Not the gentile who is walking with YAHWEH and His Son YESHUA because they are just like the native-born.

What else to look for?

Also a good kosher place will feed the animals grass and will be grass finished. This means that the cow or lamb ate 100% grass or hay throughout its entire life. Many companies today will feed their cows 70% grass and about 30% grain which throws off the omega 3 to omega 6 ratio, CLA, and other healthy fats, which in turn changes the health benefits of meat.

Leviticus 11:3

“Whatever has a split hoof completely divided, chewing the cud, among the beasts, that you do eat.”

Cud defined by blurtit.com says:

Cud is a portion of food that returns from an animal’s stomach to the mouth to be chewed for the second time. Cud is produced during a digestive process called rumination. Cattle, deer, sheep, goats and antelope are some examples of animals that chew their cud. When cud-chewing animals eat their food, some of the food is stored in a special pouch within its stomach. It later regurgitates this stored food, or cud, and begins to chew it again.

So chewing cud is grass/hay which is the natural process of a cow that YAHWEH has given them for a reason. This special process of chewing the cud aka grass or hay makes for healthier, natural meat the way ELOHIM intended. The Food Inc documentary admits twice that cows were made to eat grass and when the cows are fed a grain diet it produces E-coli in their first stomach of the cow.

 Also, good kosher meat will have no hormones or antibiotics which none of us should be eating anyway because it is not natural. The hormones and antibiotics go into your bloodstream and can interfere with your endocrine system.

I pray this was helpful and helped shed some light on this topic about meat and blood. We have to remember that YAHWEH wants us to live, eat, and dress a certain way to be holy unto Him. This message isn’t to judge anyone but to clarify what the scriptures say and wants going on with the meat industry. As always to take everything to our Father YAHWEH and His Son YESHUA in prayer.

Control your tongue and stop cursing!

The topic of the tongue is a serious one that needs to be addressed especially among the Body of Messiah. We will be discussing idle words, gossiping, profanity, taming the tongue, and the war of words amongst believers because of disagreements.

Mathew 12:36-37

“And I say to you that for every idle WORD men speak, they shall give an account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by your WORDS you shall be declared righteous, and by your WORDS you shall be declared unrighteous.”

YESHUA said that we will be held accountable for every idle word that we speak. Idle defined by vocabulary.com can mean having no value or purpose: idle rumors are rumors that people make up when bored, but have no grounding in fact. This is a serious question to ask yourself, how many times have you spoken words that have no value or purpose at all? Does celebrity gossip or sports have any value at all? This just a small example of what the word means. We have to keep this in mind about being held accountable for every idle word we speak because Enoch confirms that every sin is being recorded in heaven in the presence of YAHWEH.

Enoch 98:7

“And do not think in your spirit nor say in your heart that you do not know, and that you do not see that every sin is recorded in the heavens EVERY DAY till the day of your judgment.”

Beware of dirty jokes and some form of jokes Proverbs 26:19 “So is a man who deceived his neighbor, and says, “I was only joking!” Meaning that someone will say or do something to harm someone else and then play it off by saying it was just a joke. Sometimes people will do this and then gauge the reaction of the person and if it is not well received they will say “I was just joking!” Our thoughts and our words should be on advancing the Kingdom ELOHIM and keeping His commandments.

Sirach 9:15-16

“Let your WORDS be with the wise, and ALL your talk in the Law of the Most High.”

Joshua 1:8

“Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous and act wisely.”

Exodus 13:9

“And it shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah of YAHWEH is to be in your mouth, for with a strong hand YAHWEH has brought you out of Egypt.”

We have all heard the saying that sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you, right? We all know that this is a lie because words cut deep and once you say it you can never take it back. Solomon disagrees that words don’t hurt:

Proverbs 15:4

“The tongue of the wise makes knowledge good, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness. The eyes of YAHWEH are in every place, watching the evil and good. A healing tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness (or cruel tongue) in it crushes the spirit.”

Mathew 15:18

“But what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and these defile a man.”

Luke 6:45

 “The good man brings forth what is good out of the good treasure of his heart, and the wicked man brings forth what is wicked out of the wicked treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.”

When someone starts calling names or spewing off from the mouth all they are doing is speaking what was hidden in their heart. Reprove your brother in kindness, but don’t let it fester into a hatred and speak words that cannot ever been taken back.

Proverbs 18:21-23

“Death and life are in the power of the TONGUE, and those loving it eat its fruit.”

We have to remember that ELOHIM spoke the world into existence, so words are powerful. YAHWEH even told Moses to speak to the rock in Numbers 20:8

“Take the rod and assemble the congregation, you and your brother Aaron. And you shall SPEAK to the rock before their eyes, and it shall give its water. And you shall bring water for them out of the rock and give drink to the congregation and their livestock.”

So words do not just fall to the ground they manifest either for the good or evil. So with that said let us choose our words wisely.

Curse words/Profanity

There are many in this world including Pastors and many within the Hebrew Israelite camps who use profanity which are also known as curse words or swear words, and they are all called curse words for a reason.

Wikipedia defines profanity as: Profanity is socially offensive language,[1] WHICH MAY ALSO BE CALLED cursing, cussing or swearing, cuss words (American English vernacular), curse words, swear words, bad words, or expletives. Used in this sense, profanity is language that is sometimes considered by certain parts of a culture to be strongly impolite, rude, or offensive. It can show a debasement of someone or something,[2] or be considered as an expression of strong feeling towards something.

In its OLDER, more LITERAL SENSE, "profanity" refers to a lack of respect for things that are held to be SACRED, which implies anything inspiring or deserving of reverence, as well as behavior showing similar disrespect or causing religious offense.[3]

Swearing/curse words which is included in the definition of profanity is defined by the New York Times article titled “A case for cursing” as a swear word which suggests BLASPHEMY — invoking a deity to empower your words.

The oxford dictionary defines curse words as a swear word, an offensive word, used especially as an expression of anger. Some synonyms are expletive, obscenity, oath, CURSE, dirty word, and four-letter word.

As we can see there is nothing righteous about using these words. I remember when I was growing up that these curse words were prevented from being played on TV or on the radio, but now they are accepted by society. If these words were once not accepted for the reasons that I outline above no more than a few years ago, then that should be further evidence that these words were not allowed to be aired for a reason. This world is moving towards more lawlessness with each passing day. These foul words can also be used to PROFANE things that are held sacred hence the word PROFAN-ITY. Profane is literally built right into the word, so if you are using these words especially as a follower of YESHUA please go to Him and repent.

Colossians 3:8

“But now, also put off all these: displeasure, wrath, evil, BLASPHEMY (included in definition), FILTHY TALK FROM YOUR MOUTH.”

Sirach 23:13

“Do not use your mouth to SWEAR rashly, for in these words there is sin”

Psalms 59:12

“The sin of their mouth is the words of their lips, and they are captured in their pride, and for the CURSING and lying they utter.”

Ecclesiastes 10:20

“Do not CURSE the king, even in your thought; do not CURSE the rich, even in your bedroom; for a bird of the heavens conveys the VOICE, and a bird in flight makes the matter known.”

Enoch 95:4

“Woe to you who speak out CURSES which cannot be reversed: healing shall therefore be far from you because of your sins.”

Proverbs 4:24

“Turn away from you a crooked mouth, and put perverse lips from you.”

Proverbs 17:20

“He who has a crooked heart finds no good, and he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.”

Verses concerning the tongue and fighting amongst believers

Sirach 5:12-15

“Esteem and shame is in speech; and the tongue of man is his downfall. Do not be a whisper, and do not lie in wait with your tongue; for foul shame is upon the thief, and an evil condemnation upon the double-tongued. Do not be ignorant of any matter, small or great.”

Job 2:10

“But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Indeed, should we accept good from ELOHIM, and not accept evil? In all this Job did not sin with his LIPS.”

James 3:3-10

“Look, we put bits in the mouths of horses, for them to obey us, and we turn their body. Look at the ships too: although they are so big and are driven by strong winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot intends. So too the tongue is a little member, yet boasts greatly. See how a little fire kindles a great forest! And the tongue is a fire, the world of unrighteousness. Like a forest among our members the tongue is placed, the one defiling the ENTIRE BODY, and lighting on fire the course of generations, rolling from the beginning and in the end is lit on fire itself. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man is able to tame the tongue. It is unruly evil, filled with deadly poison. With it we bless our ELOHIM and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of ELOHIM. Out of the same mouth proceed blessings and cursing.”

Sadly within the Body of Messiah this is what is happening. Many say they are living for YESHUA and bless His Name and then turn around and curse their fellow brother made in the image of ELOHIM, simply because they disagreed with you about how YAHWEH or YESHUA’s Name is pronounced. I personally have many brothers and sisters who call our Creator by different Names whether it be Yahuah, Yahava, Yehovah for the Father and Yahshua, Yahushua for the Son, yet we all have the same like mind when it comes to doctrine, which is based on the Torah and belief in YESHUA being the Son of YAHWEH who died for our sins and rose on the third day and being led by the RUACH HA’KODESH who leads us into all truth.

Yet, many will still fight over His Name despite the same foundation of truth and start calling each other names and belittling them over the disagreement or which calendar to follow. And I have even seen many go as far as saying “They don’t have the Spirit in them!” This is done through verbal words or typed words through texts or message boards. This is exactly what James was referring to and I highly encourage ALL within in the Body of Messiah to stop this ASAP! This does nothing but cause division and you are cutting your brethren with words.

Ephesians 4:29

“Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for the use of building up, so as to impart what is pleasant to the hearers.”

We are supposed to be building each other up in love and not tearing each other down with hate and corrupt words.

Proverbs 11:9

“The defiled one destroys his neighbor with his mouth, but the righteous is delivered by knowledge.”

1 John 4:20

“If someone says, “I love ELOHIM,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, how is he able to love YAHWEH whom he has not seen?”

Guard your mouth

Sirach 28:25

“Weigh your words in a balance, and make a door and bar for your mouth.”

Psalms 141:3

“O YAHWEH, place a guard for my mouth; watch over the door of my lips.”

Proverbs 10:19

“When words are many, transgression is not absent, but he who restrains his lips is wise.”

Proverbs 21:23

“Whoever guards his mouth and tongue guards his life from distresses.

Proverbs 17:27-28

“He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is cool of spirit.”

Sirach 14:1-2

“Blessed is the man that has not slipped with his mouth, and is not pierced with the great number of sins.”

Sirach 4:29

“Do not be hasty with your tongue, or slack and negligent in your deeds.”

Sirach 9:18

“A man of an evil tongue is dangerous in his city; and he who is hasty with his words shall be hated.”

Psalms 52:2-4

“Your tongue devises destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceit. You loved evil more than good, lying more than speaking righteousness. Selah. You loved all devouring words, O tongue of deceit.”

Psalms 34:13

“Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.”

Proverbs 15:1

“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up displeasure.

Ever heard someone say it isn’t’ what you say, but how you say it? This is what Solomon is saying, is that you can choose the proper words and tone to deliver a message, it will change the outcome. However, the same message spoke in a condescending, matter of fact, belittling tongue can put someone on the defensive.

Sirach 23:15

“The man who is accustomed to insulting words shall never be instructed all the days of his life.”

Sadly some people are so used to insulting others that it becomes natural to them and they don’t even realize they are doing it. No one should ever become accustomed to putting down others.

Gossiping words

Gossip is defined as a person who habitually spreads intimate (personal) or private rumors or facts, also trivial chatty talk or writing. We know this is someone who is talking about someone else and most of the time it’s based off of heresy, which others will accept as factual information. People whisper these words because they don’t want others to hear what they are saying because it’s improper speech.

1 Timothy 5:13

“Moreover, they learn to be idle, going about from house to house, and not only idle but also GOSSIPS and busybodies, speaking what is IMPROPER.”

Sirach 19:6-10

“And he who hates gossip shall have less evil. Do not repeat to another that which is told to you, and you shall not suffer harm. Whether to friend or enemy, do not speak of another’s life; and if you may without offense, do not reveal them. For if he hears and sees you, so in time to come he shall hate you. If you have a word, let it die with you…”

Wisdom 1:11

“Therefore beware of grumbling, which is useless, and keep your tongue from secrecy. For no secret word is without evil, and a lying mouth destroys the being.”

I pray this helps anyone who is struggling with the words they speak, cursing, insulting others, or gossiping. Repent if this applies to you and ask our ELOHIM to help you bridle your tongue for the tongue is the smallest part of body, but yet it can do a lot of damage, so let us be careful!
