I would like to encourage all my brothers and sisters to keep clinging to YESHUA and do not let get go; and know that our Father YAHWEH is fighting for you in ways that you cannot even fathom. We often look at everything from a physical standpoint, but we have to remember that the spiritual realm is more real than we are. There are many scriptures to choose to show what our ELOHIM can do, I chose the ones that stood out that most people may not have seen, heard of, our thought about.
Deuteronomy 32:30
“How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Mighty One had delivered them to their enemies, and YAHWEH had hemmed them in?”
To put this in perspective think of one or two men going up against 10,000 people in battle and those 10,000 people look at those two men, yet they see a great army of 50,000 great warriors behind them, but the two men don’t see those 50,000 men behind them which causes those 10,000 men to take off running for fear of their lives. This is why YAHWEH always says be strong and of a good courage because all He wants is His children to trust in Him and His power, this is why He was so pleased with Joshua son of Nun and Caleb for saying that they could fight against the giants and win because they knew that YAHWEH was with them. This is the power that our Father YAHWEH has, and He can cause visions, fear, and frustration amongst anyone to protect His children. And even if they don’t manifest physically we know that they are always there in the spiritual realm as we see when Elisha prayed for YAHWEH to open up the eyes of his servant.
2 Kings 6:15-17
“And when the servant of the prophet of ELOHIM arose early and went out, behold, an army surrounded the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant, said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? And he said to him, fear not; for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. And Elisha prayed to YAHWEH and said, O YAHWEH, open his eyes that he may see. And YAHWEH opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw; and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”
These are some beautiful scriptures to always remember in time of trouble or fear that our Father YAHWEH defends those who are His. Now, we will take a look at more examples to encourage you.
Jasher 32:16-40
“And Jacob prayed to YAHWEH his ELOHIM, and he said, “O YAHWEH ELOHIM of my ancestors, Abraham and Isaac, You spoke to me when I went away from my dads house, saying, I am YAHWEH ELOHIM of your father Abraham and the ELOHIM of Isaac; I give this land to you and your seed after you, and I will make your seed as the stars of the heavens, and you shall spread forth to the four winds of the heavens, and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ And You established Your words, and gave me riches and children and cattle; as the utmost desires of my heart You have given to Your servant; You gave me all that I asked from You, so that I lacked nothing. And You afterward said to me, ‘Return to your parents and to your birthplace and I will still do well with you. And now that I have come, and You delivered me from Laban, I shall fall in the hands of Esaw who will slay me, yes, together with the mothers of my children. Now therefore, O YAHWEH ELOHIM, deliver me, I ask You, from the hands of my brother Esaw, for I am greatly afraid of him.”
Verse 28 And YAHWEH sent three messengers of the exalted messengers, and they went before Esaw and came to him. And these messengers APPEARED TO ESAW AND HIS PEOPLE AS TWO THOUSAND MEN, riding upon horses furnished with all sorts of war instruments, and they appeared in the sight of Esaw and all his men to be divided into four camps, with four chiefs to them. And one camp went on and they found Esaw coming with four hundred men toward his brother Jacob, and this camp ran toward Esaw and his people and terrified them, and Esaw fell off the horse in alarm, and all his men separated from him in that place, for they were greatly afraid. And the whole of the camp shouted after them when they fled from Esaw, and all the warlike men answered, saying, “Surely we are the servants of Jacob, who is the servant of ELOHIM, and who then can stand against us?” And Esaw said to them, “O then, my master and brother Jacob is your master, whom I have not seen for these twenty years, and now that I have today come to see him, do you treat me in this manner?” And the messengers answered him saying, “As YAHWEH lives, if Jacob of whom you speak was not your brother, we would not let one remain from you and your people; but only on account of Jacob we will do nothing to them.” And this camp passed from Esaw and his men and it went away, and Esaw and his men had gone from them about a league when the second camp came toward him with all sorts of weapons, and they also did to Esaw and his men as the first camp had done to them. And when they had left to go on, behold the third camp came toward him and they were all terrified, and Esaw fell off the horse, and the whole camp cried out, and said, “Surely we are the servants of Jacob, who is the servant of ELOHIM, and who can stand against us?” And Esaw again answered them saying, “O then, Jacob my master and your master is my brother, and for twenty years I have not seen his face and hearing today that he was coming, I went today to meet him, and do you treat me in this manner? And they answered him, and said to him, “As YAHWEH lives, if Jacob were not your brother as you said, we would not have left a remnant of you and your men; but on account of Jacob of whom you speak being your brother, we will not meddle with you or your men.” And the third camp also passed from them, and he still continued this road with his men toward Jacob, when the fourth camp came toward him, and they also did to him and his men as the others had done. And when Esaw beheld the evil which the four messengers had done to him and to his men, he became greatly afraid of his brother Jacob, and he went to meet him in peace. And Esaw concealed his hatred against Jacob, because he was afraid of his life on account of his brother Jacob, and because he imagined that the four camps that he had lighted upon were Jacob’s servants.”
What a beautiful example of YAHWEH’s power! All Jacob did was pray to YAHWEH because he was afraid of his brother Esaw; however, he had no idea how YAHWEH was going to take care of the situation, he just trusted that He would. So, He sends three messengers who appeared as 2,000 mighty warriors and terrified Esaw and his 400 men. So, our ELOHIM can do the same thing today, let us pray to Him and trust Him and He will handle the details. Literally, last night there was teenagers who blast music really early in the morning and I prayed saying “Father YAHWEH cause them to hear the sound of police sirens to make them cut the music off” and immediately the music stopped playing. How awesome is our ELOHIM!
2 kings 19:4-35
“It may be YAHWEH your ELOHIM will hear the words of the Rab-shakeh, whom his master, the Assyrian king has sent to reproach the living ELOHIM; and will rebuke him for the words which YAHWEH your ELOHIM has heard; therefore beseech and pray for the remnant that is left. So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah the prophet. And Isaiah said to them, Thus shall you shall say to your master: Thus says YAHWEH, do not be afraid of the words that you have heard, which the ambassadors of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Behold, I will send a blast (a spirit, deadly wind in Aramaic) upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.” Verse 21 “This is the word that YAHWEH has spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion despises you and laughs you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head behind you. Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voices and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Yisra’el. By your messengers you have reproached YAHWEH and have said, with the multitude of chariots I will go up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof and the choice fir trees thereof; and I will enter into the extreme limits of the forest of Carmel. I will dig and drink strange waters, and with the hoofs of my horses I will dry up all the great rivers. Have you not heard long ago how I have done it, and of the days of old how I prepared it? And now I have brought it to pass, that you lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps; therefore their inhabitants became weak, they were defeated and confounded, and became like the grass of the field and like the green herb, like the grass on the housetops, and like tender grass blasted before it is grown up. But I know your dwelling place and your coming in and your going out and your rage against Me. Because you have dared and raged against Me, and your blasphemy has come to my ears, therefore I will put a hook in your noise and a bit in your lips, and I will turn you back the way by which you came. And this shall be a sign to you; you shall eat this year that which grow of itself, and in the second year that which springs of the same; and in the third-year sow and reap and plant vineyards and eat the fruit thereof. And the remnant that is left of the house of Judah shall increase, they shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of the mount of Zion; the zeal of YAHWEH of Hosts shall do this. Therefore thus says YAHWEH concerning the king of Assyria: he shall not enter this city nor shoot an arrow there nor come before it with shields nor lay an ambush against it. But by the way that he came by the same shall he return, and shall not enter this city, says YAHWEH. For I will abide in this city and save it for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake. And it came to pass that night, the angel of YAHWEH went out and slew in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when the survivors arose early in the morning, they looked, and behold, their comrades were all dead.”
2 kings 7:3-6
“Now there were four leprous men sitting at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, why do we sit here until we die? If we say, will enter into the city, the famine is severe in the city, and we shall die there, and if we still sit here, we die also. Now therefore come and let us go to the camp of Aram; if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they put us to death, we shall die. So they rose up early in the twilight to go the camp of Aram; and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp, behold, there was no man there; for YAHWEH had made the army of Aram HEAR THE NOISE OF HORSES AND THE NOISE OF CHARIOTS AND THE NOISE OF A GREAT ARMY; and they said to one another, Lo, the king of Yisra’el has hired against us the King of the Egyptians and the king of the Hittites to come upon us. Wherefore they fled in the twilight, and left their tents, their horses, and their donkeys, even their camp as it was, and they fled for their lives.”
Again, we see the power of YAHWEH and what He is capable of. He caused the camp of Aram to hear the sound of chariots and horses of a large army that was not even there which made them run. Just like the manifestation of the messengers becoming 2,000 warriors and confronting Esaw, we see that YAHWEH can cause people to hear things that will terrify them. So in modern times He can cause someone to hear the sound of a thousand police sirens, a thousand tanks and helicopters to put fear in someone to make them flee.
2 Maccabees 3:19-30
“And the women, girded with sackcloth under their breasts, abounded in the streets and the virgins that were guarded ran, some to the gates and some to the walls and others looked out of the windows. And all, holding their hands toward heaven, made supplication. Then it would have pitied a man to see the falling down of the multitude of all sorts and the fear of the high priest being in such agony. They then called on the Shaddai-Adonai to keep the things committed to trust safe and sure for those who had committed them. Nevertheless, Helidorus executed that which was decreed. Now as he was there present himself with this guard about the treasury. YAHWEH Sabaoth, the Prince of all power, caused a GREAT APPARITION (a manifestation or the appearance of something remarkable or unexpected, typically an image of this type), so that all that presumed to come in with him were astonished at the power of ELOHIM and fainted and were severely afraid. For there APPEARED TO THEM a horse with a terrible rider on him and adorned with a very beautiful covering and he ran fiercely and struck at Helidorus with his forefeet and it seemed that he that sat on the horse had complete harness of gold. Moreover two other young men APPEARED before him, notable in strength, excellent in beauty and comely in apparel, who stood by him on either side; and scourged him continually and gave him many blows. And Helidorus fell suddenly to the ground and was circled with great darkness: but those that were with him picked him up and put him into a litter. Thus he that recently came with a great train and with all his guard into the treasury, they carried out, being unable to help himself with his weapons: and manifestly they acknowledged the power of ELOHIM. For he by the hand of ELOHIM was cast down and lay speechless without all hope of life.”
YAHWEH caused another manifestation of men to appear and defend the temple and even scourged the man Helidorus who attempted to do evil to the high priest and nearly killed him. Again, we see YAHWEH defending His people and the enemy recognized YAHWEH’s great power and Helidorus went on to praise ELOHIM and sacrifice to Him.
Jasher 34:55-48:25 (After Simeon and Levi destroyed Shekhem they all went back to dwell in the land after it had been rebuilt and the Canaanite kings thought they were coming back to destroy it again and arrayed themselves to war against them.)
“Surely our ELOHIM who delivered the city of Shekhem and its people into their hand, he will also deliver into our hands all the Canaanite kings who are coming against us, and we will do to them as my brothers did to Shekhem (Judah speaking about Simeon and Levi). Now be at peace about them and cast away your fears, and trust in YAHWEH our ELOHIM, and pray to Him to assist us and deliver us, and deliver our enemies into our hands. And Judah called to one of his dad’s servants and said, “Go now and see where those kings, who are coming against us, are situated with their armies. And the servant went and looked far off, and went up opposite Mount Sion, and saw all the camps of the kings standing in the fields, and he returned to Judah and said, “Behold the kings are situated in the field with all their camps, a people exceedingly numerous, like the sand upon the seashore.” (Then Isaac and Jacob prayed for them, and the result of the prayers happened in Chapter 35.)
Chapter 35:1-19
“And all the kings of the Armories came and took their stand in the field to consult with their counselors what was to be done with the sons of Jacob, for they were still afraid of them, saying, “Behold, two of them killed the whole of the city of Shekhem.” And YAHWEH heard the prayers of Isaac and Jacob, and He FILLED THE HEARTS OF ALL THESE KINGS’ ADVSERS WITH GREAT FEAR AND TERROR that they unanimously exclaimed, “Are you so simple today, or is there no understanding in you, that you will fight with the Hebrews? And why will you take a delight in your own destruction today? Behold two of them came to the city of Shekhem without fear or terror, and they killed all the inhabitants of the city, that no man stood up against them, and how will you be able to fight with them all? Surely you know that their ELOHIM is exceedingly fond of them, and has done mighty things for them, such as have not been done from days of old, and among all the Elohim of the nations there is none that can do like His mighty deeds. Surely He delivered their ancestor Abraham, the Hebrew, from the hand of Nimrod, and from the hand of all his people who had many times sought to kill him. He delivered him also from the fire in which king Nimrod had cast him, and his ELOHIM delivered him form it. And who else can do the like? Surely it was Abraham who killed the five kings of Elam, when they had touched his brother’s son who in those days dwelled in Sodom. And took his servant that was faithful in his house and few of his men, and they pursued the kings of Elam in one night and killed them, and restored to his brother’s son all his property which they had taken from him. And surely you know the ELOHIM of these Hebrews is much delighted with them, and they are also delighted with Him, for they know that He delivered them from all their enemies.”
“And behold through his love toward his ELOHIM, Abraham took his only and precious son and intended to bring him up as an ascension offering to his ELOHIM, and had it not been for ELOHIM who prevented him from doing this, he would then have done it for his love to his ELOHIM. And ELOHIM saw all his works, and swore to him, and promised him that He would deliver his sons and all his seed from every trouble that would happen to them, because had done this thing, and through his love to his ELOHIM stifled his compassion for his child. And have you not heard what their ELOHIM did to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to Abimelech king of Gerar, though taking Abraham’s wife, who said of her, “She is my sister,’ lest they might kill him on account of her, and think of taking her for a wife? And ELOHIM did to them and their people all that you heard of. And behold, we ourselves saw with our eyes that Esaw, the brother of Jacob, came to him with four hundred men, with the intention of killing him, for he called to mind that he had taken away from him his dad’s blessing. And he went to meet him when he came from Aram, to kill the mother with the children, and who delivered him from his hands but his ELOHIM in whom he trusted? He delivered him from the hand of his brother and also from the hands of his enemies, and surely He will protect them again. Who does not know that it was their ELOHIM who inspired them with strength to do to the town of Shekhem the evil which you heard of? Could it then be with their own strength that two men could destroy such a large city as Shekhem had it not been for their ELOHIM in whom they trusted? He said and did to them all this to kill the inhabitants of the city in their city. And can you then prevail over them who have come forth together from your city to fight with the whole of them, even if a thousand times as many more should come to your assistance? Surely you know and understand that you do not come to fight with them, but you come to war with their ELOHIM who chose them, and you have therefore all come today to be destroyed.”
YAHWEH put fear into the advisors of the kings of Canaan and they talked about all the mighty works of YAHWEH and that alone made them turn away from fighting against the sons of Jacob. The last part of this scripture about them fighting against ELOHIM and not against man reminds me of:
Acts 5:38-39
The same conversation that the advisors gave to the kings not to fight against YAHWEH in Jasher reminds me of what was said by an Ammonite in Judith who also gave a history of YAHWEH’s power:
Judith 5:1-24
“Then was it declared to Holofemes, the chief captain of the army of Ashur, that the children of Yisra’el had prepared for war and had shut up the passages of the hill country and had fortified all the tops of the high hills and had laid impediments in the plain countries, with which he was very angry and called all the princes of Moab and the captains of Ammon and all the governors of the sea coast, and he said to them, tell me now, you sons of Canaan, who is this people that dwells in the hill country and what are the cities that they inhabit and what is the multitude of their army and in what is their power and strength and what king is set over them, or captain of their army. And why have they determined not to come and meet me, more than all the inhabitants of the west. Then Achi’or the captain of all the sons of Ammon said, let my master now hear a word from the mouth of your servant and I will declare to you the truth concerning this people who dwell near you and inhabits the hill countries and no lie shall come out of the mouth of your servant. These people have descended from the Kasdim: and they sojourned formerly in Naharayim, because they would not follow the Elohim of their ancestors, which were in the land of Kasdim. For they left the way of their ancestors and worshipped the ELOHIM of heaven, the ELOHIM whom they knew. So they cast them out from the face of their ELOHIM and they fled into Naharayim and sojourned there many days. Then their ELOHIM commanded them to depart from the place where they sojourned and to go into the land of Canaan, where they dwelt and were increased with gold and silver and with very much livestock. But when a famine covered all the land of Canaan, they went down into Egypt and sojourned there, while they were nourished and became a great multitude, so that one could not number their nation. Therefore the king of Egypt rose up against them and dealt subtly with them and humbled them with labor in brick making and made them slaves. Then they cried to their ELOHIM and He struck all the land of Egypt with incurable plagues, so the Egyptians cast them out of their sight. And ELOHIM dried the Yam-Suf (Dead Sea) before them, and brought them to Mount Sinai and Kadesh-Barne’a and cast out all that dwelt in the wilderness. So they dwelt in the land of the Emori and they destroyed by their strength all those of Chesbon and passing over the Jordan they possessed all the hill country. And they cast out before them the Canaanites, the Perizzite, the Jebusite and the Sheckhemites and all the Girgashites and they dwelt in that country many days. And while they did not sin before their ELOHIM they prospered, because the ELOHIM that hates iniquity was with them. But when they departed from the way which He appointed them, they were destroyed very greatly in many battles and were led captives into a land that was not theirs and the temple of their ELOHIM was cast to the ground and their cities were taken by the enemies. But now have they returned to their ELOHIM and have come up from the places where they were scattered and have possessed Jerusalem, where their sanctuary is and are seated in the hill country; for it was desolate. Now therefore, my master and governor, if there is any error against these people and they have sinned against their ELOHIM, let us consider that this shall be their ruin and let us go up and we shall overcome them. But if there is no iniquity in their nation, let my master now pass by, for fear that their Adonai defends them and their ELOHIM protects them and we shall become a reproach before all the world. And when Achi’or had finished these sayings, all the people standing round about the tent murmured and the chief men of Holofemes and all that dwelt by the sea side and in Moab, spoke that he should kill him. For they said, we will not be afraid of the face of the children of Yisra’el, for look , it is a people that have no strength nor power for a strong battle. Now therefore, master Holofernes, we will go up and they shall be prey to be devoured by all your army.”
Achi’or the Ammonite warned them, but they did not listen and YAHWEH give the Assyria into the hands of Judith, Achi’or the Ammonite would end up joining and becoming a citizen of Yisra’el.
Jasher 40:4-6
“And the sons of Jacob were afraid of those men (Bethhoron), as they were not accustomed to fight in the dark, and they were greatly confounded, and the sons of Jacob cried to YAHWEH saying, “Save us O YAHWEH, deliver us that we may not die by the hands of these uncircumcised men.” And YAHWEH listened to the voice of the sons of Jacob, and YAHWEH caused a great terror and confusion to seize the people of Bethhoron, and they fought AMONG THEMSELVES: ONE WITH THE OTHER IN THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT, AND STRUCK EACH OTHER IN GREAT NUMBERS. And the sons of Jacob, knowing that YAHWEH had brought a spirit of perverseness among those men, and that they fought EACH MAN WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, went forth from among the bands of the people of Bethhoron and went as far as the descent of the height of Bethhoron, and farther, and they stayed there securely with their young men on that night.”
This scripture from Jasher is a direct parrel of what happened during the days of Jehoshaphat when YAHWEH caused Moab, Ammon, Seir to fight against themselves.
2 Chronicles 20:15, 21-24
“And he said, hearken, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat, thus says YAHWEH your ELOHIM: Be not afraid nor dismayed because of this great army; for the battle is not yours, but ELOHIM’s.” Verse 20 “And they rose early in the morning and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, hear me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: believe in YAHWEH your ELOHIM, so you shall be established; believe in his prophets, and you shall be delivered. Then he stood in the midst of the people and said, come, let us give thanks to YAHWEH, and give praise to the excellency of His holiness, as He is going forth before our enemies to fight for us against our enemies. And they said, give thanks to YAHWEH, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever. Then the hills began to give praise and the mountains began to rejoice. And when they began to sing and to praise, YAHWEH set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to DESTROY ANOTHER. And when Judah came toward the watchtower in the wilderness, they looked to the multitude, and, behold, there were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and NONE HAD ESCAPED.”
Take a look at what happens when you praise YAHWEH, thank Him, and sing to Him even in the midst of a battle and He will move for you. So remember to praise YAHWEH at all times and trust in Him and watch Him move in your life. As we see from the many scriptures above, YAHWEH can make miraculous things happen if we love Him and walk in His ways.
As always may our Father YAHWEH bless you in YESHUA’s Name!
